When to Visit Top Shanghai Attractions

Here are weather brief introductions for three popular attractions in Shanghai. Let's take a look at their geographical locations, average annual temperatures, and climate characteristics in spring, summer, autumn and winter together! 🌍 🌤 ️ ❄ ️ 🍂

When to Visit Top Shanghai Attractions | The Bund

When to Visit Top Shanghai Attractions

The Bund is a pedestrian sightseeing belt located on the west bank of the Huangpu River in the center of Shanghai, between Waibaidu Bridge and Jinling East Road. Walking from south to north, on the left is the wide Zhongshan East First Road. At night, the neon lights on both banks of the Huangpu River are on, making it a perfect place to stroll along the Bund with your loved one, experiencing the charm and romance of the "City that never Sleeps". In summer, the Bund is filled with gentle river breezes, making it an ideal spot to cool off.

  • Address: North to Waibaidu Bridge and south to Shiliupu Wharf, Zhongshan East 1st Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai
  • Business hours: Open all day
  • Best time: Spring & Autumn
  • Reason: Mild weather (15-25°C) perfect for strolls + clear skyline views 🌆🍂
  • Avoid summer humidity & winter chill.

It was a Saturday so it was quite crowded, but the lighting was very beautiful. It's definitely worth a visit if you visit Shanghai. It's visible from anywhere, so you can enjoy taking photos even when it's crowded!

The view from the TV tower is beautiful, but the European-style cityscape on the other side is also incredibly beautiful! However, it gets crowded, so I recommend going on a weekday. I visit this place every time I go to Shanghai. The walk along East Nanjing Road to the Bund is just the right amount of crowded, making it a very enjoyable experience. There's also a hand cream shop in Tianzifang that offers different scents for each birthday. They cost about 1,000 yen each, but I think they make a great keepsake or souvenir. The shop in Tianzifang is pink, while the one on the Bund is mint green, and both are adorable.

Fantastically beautiful locations, a vast grounds, exciting rides, a stunning fireworks display, and top-notch service. Despite the high price, the number of visitors is staggering, especially considering Disneyland is open every day. The minimum wait time for the top attractions is 75 minutes, but it has been up to 3 hours (the sign in front of each attraction indicates the approximate wait time). Over the course of the day, I managed to experience 7 top attractions and 1 simple attraction. You can bring your own food (restrictions apply), but if you buy food on site, it will cost you from 50 yuan for a sandwich. Toy prices in the shops (and there are many) start at 99 yuan for an inconspicuous item. Arrive at opening time to explore everything quickly. I highly recommend visiting.

It's definitely worth a visit, even without kids! I recommend buying a Trip ticket in advance; admission is with a passport. The downside is the long lines for the rides (especially the most popular ones). The staff is friendly and always willing to show you where to go. Admission to all rides is free (with a single ticket, no need to buy separately). There are snack areas and souvenir shops on site. The atmosphere is fantastic. I recommend arriving early and setting aside a full day (or two, if you want to ride every ride). I also enjoyed the costumed shows and Zootopia. You can also rent strollers for children (which can accommodate even an adult). It's very convenient for children of any age; while parents wait in line, the kids can sit or sleep comfortably.

I'd been to a park in Paris before, but I liked this one even more. Surprisingly, there were fewer people and more space to walk around. (The rides were also decent.)

I had some questions when booking, but the support team helped me with them very quickly!

When to Visit Top Shanghai Attractions

The Oriental Pearl Tower, standing at 468 meters tall, is located in the Lujiazui Financial Center of Shanghai and is one of the landmark buildings in the city. You can stand on the 259-meter-high fully transparent sightseeing corridor and enjoy the charming night view of Shanghai in 360 degrees. You can also take a high-altitude VR roller coaster to experience the thrill of high technology.

  • Address: No. 1 Century Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai

Great option. Totally worth the money. The buffet was really good with lots of options. I don’t recommend any fast track for this attraction.

Definitely worth a visit! We bought the entry ticket and revolving restaurant dinner package and it was worth it! You are taken to the higher ‘sphere’ immediately for the views, we went just after dusk so saw the whole of Shanghai being lit up. You must walk down a level and walk on the glass bottomed observatory deck! It is nerve wreckingly scary but great fun! The buffet in the revolving restaurant was amazing! Hot/cold food/sushi/sea food/grills all available and plenty of food! As you descend, you are taken to the lower sphere for another view. Unfortunately we did not get to go on the VR rollercoaster as it closes at 9pm (separate fees). This is an iconic sight that’s not to be missed.

Check in process was easy. Lunch was very nice with lots of variety of Chinese, Asian and European cuisines, literally spoilt for choice. Get to sit by the window overlooking the buildings in Lujiazui and the Bund. 90 minutes flew past very quickly. The staff came by 10 minutes before the time is up to remind diners to get ready to leave. Glass passageway is a bit scary but thrilling. Good to try.

The tickets were slightly cheaper than going to buy onsite. But the price to go up is abit expensive. View is nice. One thing bad was that with strollers for kids was really not convenient. They weren't really friendly for kids perhaps due to the number of visitors there.
