Crystal Orange Shanghai the Bund Yu Garden Hotel
"We stayed 6 nights here and I can only say it’s been nothing short of amazing. We booked 3 rooms for 5 of us and every room was so clean and spacious. The mini bar fridge was well stocked and complimentary. Everything worked perfectly well and the location of the hotel is so strategic and convenient to get around. Yu garden is right downstairs, the bund is just a 10 mins walk away. The staff are always helpful, shout out to 李 who checked us in and always tried his best. Breakfast is extensive enough and had a good mix of western and local dishes. The laundry service is a lifesaver as well! The only gripe we had about this place is that the room doors are quite heavy and require some sort of slamming to shut well if not the door alarm will ring. The slamming of the doors can be quite disturbing as it causes the wall of the room to shake from the impact which is pretty crazy. And it can get disturbing sometimes when we hear other doors being slammed while we are asleep. It’s not a huge problem for us but would be great if the hotel can look into tweaking the door mechanism to make it close more effectively without having to slam the door. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed all 6 nights here and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Shanghai. You will not regret it!"
Pujing Waiting Hotel (Shanghai People'S Square Xinzha Road Subway Station)
"The whole family had took really long time to sort out which hotel to stay and finally came down to this one which was located in a quiet area, but came with many many convenient stores and eateries. Most importantly, it’s just walking distance to the train station and some of the shopping areas. Not to mention, the hotel staffs were helpful and easy to communicate with, cleaners were well mannered and helpful too. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, nothing to complain about."

SAVHE Hotel North Bund Shanghai
"The service was excellent, and the staff were very polite and helpful. Is located at north bund and requires crossing a bridge to The bund, but overall the stay was comfortable and pleasant."
MaxX By Steigenberger on the Bund Shanghai
"First, the positives: the view was excellent, the bedding comfortable, and it offered good value for money. The service was also prompt in responding to issues. Now for the negatives: the hygiene was really poor. There was a visible, thick layer of dust on the floor, next to the bathtub, and on the cabinets. It felt like the room hadn't been cleaned in two weeks. Luckily, after I reported it, they immediately moved me to a new room, which was much cleaner. Secondly, the wallpaper on the TV wall had a long, unsightly wrinkle, which made it look a bit cheap. Also, the showerhead in the bathroom was fixed and couldn't be adjusted, making showering very uncomfortable. There's a clear difference compared to a Waldorf Astoria, but then again, the price reflects that. Overall, it was an average stay, neither outstanding nor terrible."
Shanghai Garden Rezen Hotel
"Fantastic, family-friendly hotel with exceptional amenities and service! We had a highly pleasant and happy stay at the Shanghai Rezen Garden Hotel from May 31st to June 3rd. It is an incredibly convenient and family-friendly place to stay, especially for foreign travelers. The Room: Our room was very large, spotlessly clean, and featured convenient automatic curtains and toilets. It also included a comfortable sofa bed, which easily accommodated our family. The hotel thoughtfully provided kid-sized slippers and toothbrushes, which was a lovely touch. The main bed was quite spacious, though the mattress comfort level could be slightly improved. Additionally, the shower head spray was a bit too strong for young children, so a softer pressure option would be a great upgrade. The Food: The breakfast buffet offers a wonderful spread of both traditional Chinese and international options. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the menu, and a huge plus for families is that breakfast is free for children under 1.3 meters! I personally highly recommend the cream puffs and fresh soy milk—they were absolutely delicious. The Amenities (A Huge Plus!): The amenities here are superb! Having a supermarket right inside the hotel was a major highlight for us as foreigners; it quickly became our go-to spot for daily breads, drinks, and snacks. On top of that, there is a great souvenir shop on Level 1 that sells Disney merchandise (perfect if you want to grab a Disney hat or last-minute gifts) and they even provide stroller rentals, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel also features an indoor playground with unlimited access for the kids. This gave us a much-needed breather to relax in the lobby and organize our daily itinerary while the children were happily entertained. Furthermore, the lobby hosts a helpful tour agent and coordinates multi-destination shuttles that make us want to return on our next trip to Shanghai. To top it off, the 24-hour Chinese restaurant serves delicious food delivered right to your room by a robot, which the kids absolutely loved. The Service: Truly awesome. The coordination for the airport, Disney, and zoo shuttles was seamless. The cleaning auntie was incredibly kind and proactively provided extra bottled water for our family. A special shout-out to the front desk team: I forgot my vitamins, and they went above and beyond by helping me purchase them via ******* and delivering them to my room-door in less than 45mins. I appreciated this so much! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Shanghai!"
Holiday Inn Shanghai International Resort by IHG
"Extremely satisfied with our stay! First off, the hotel's location is perfectly situated between Disney and the Safari Park, making it super convenient and close for taxis. This was a huge plus for our family who often decides where to go on a whim! Of course, the hotel also offers shuttle bus services, and we saw many guests using them. Service: Our butler was Richard, and he kept in touch from our check-in day right through to our departure. His service was attentive, patient, and very enthusiastic – he definitely deserves a huge shout-out! Cleanliness: Spotless! Families with kids can rest assured. Features: The kids' activity center was also very clean. For dinner, they have a beef hotpot buffet, so if you don't feel like going out, you can definitely fill up right at the hotel."
JOYA Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui
"They upgraded us to a family room. The window-side table was just moved to where the TV is, and some chairs were removed. So, the space hasn't actually changed at all. Also, I have to say, that recliner must have saved the owner's life, considering its condition, and they still haven't thought about replacing it."
Shanghai Lujiazui Riverside Center IntercityHotel
A modern hotel in Shanghai’s Lujiazui Riverside area, offering comfortable, well-designed rooms with views of the city and river, practical amenities, and easy access to the financial district, The Bund, and nearby shopping and business hubs.
New Century Grand Hotel Shanghai Songjiang
"Although it's an older hotel, you can still see its five-star pedigree. Considering the room size, facilities, and location, it offers excellent value for money. If you're looking for something brand new, spacious, and in a prime location, you'd likely be paying a much higher price. The staff are all very warm, friendly, and thoughtful, which is a definite bonus. A special mention goes to the breakfast buffet's coffee – they offer Illy (the 'little red hat' brand), and you can get an espresso shot to make your own latte or Americano, which I really loved ❤️"
MEHOOD LESTIE Hotel (Shanghai Xujiahui Hengshan Road)
"The room facilities are thoughtfully designed, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Housekeeper LiLy is very observant and proactively helped resolve various small issues. The public areas and guest rooms are elegant and quiet, with impeccable hygiene, visibly spotless. The hotel also offers free parking, making for a truly peaceful stay."
Wassim R Hotel
"The hotel has a great atmosphere and the facilities are excellent. It's very quiet, and the front desk staff, especially one lady, was incredibly welcoming. She even helped us get an upgraded room! The surrounding area is very convenient for dining and shopping, and transportation is easily accessible."
Shanghai Maixinge International Hotel (Zhoupu Metro Station Wanda Mall)
"Extremely satisfied, everything was great! The breakfast was superb, and they even offered free late-night snacks. I've been staying here for years when attending CPHI, and the service is absolutely top-notch. Every staff member is warm and attentive, truly making you feel at home. Today, they even surprised me with an unexpected little gift – so grateful!"
Atour Hotel (Puming Road) Lujiazui Riverside Center
"Atour's service is truly thoughtful and attentive, and the staff are all incredibly warm and meticulous. The check-in experience was excellent, and the comfortable environment made me feel completely at ease. I'll definitely choose them again, highly recommended! 🥰"
Floral Hotel · Chongming Yueting, Time Village Hotel (Xijiagang Branch)
"I forgot to take pictures, but the room was clean and tidy, exactly as described. The guesthouse owner was very kind and attentive, answering all my questions. The guesthouse is very close to the dam; walking there in the evening to watch the sunset and the night view of the Yangtze River Bridge was very pleasant. Although it was a hot day, the river breeze made it very comfortable and cool. Barbecues are available in the courtyard, but you need to book in advance and bring your own ingredients. I plan to have a barbecue there next time; this little courtyard is quite comfortable."
Primus Hotel Shanghai Sanjiagang
"I really have to praise their family-friendly facilities! We booked a deluxe room and it even came with a small balcony, so the whole family could sit together in the morning and enjoy the garden view. The kids' play area isn't huge, but it's incredibly clean, and all the toys are new – you can tell they do a thorough job with disinfection. My child loved the ball pit and played in it all afternoon. The swimming pool water was crystal clear, and the lifeguard was constantly on duty, so safety measures were excellent. It put us completely at ease. The cleanliness is truly outstanding."
Floral Hotel·Shanghai Tinghai Boutique Hotel
"Poor sound insulation, dripping air conditioner, no view"
Shanghai Sanjiagang Greenland THE QUBE Hotel (Pudong Airport)
"Good hotel, we got an upgrade. Location is abandoned and the hotel is too big for in the winter. Less staff. I think it's better to visit in the summer. We had a very abandoned feeling in the winter. Overall the service was good and the staff was very friendly!"
