The hotel's location is excellent; you can see it right from the subway exit. It's quite close to Nanjing East Road, North Bund, and The Bund. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby, and you can easily walk to MixC World and Xinghui Center. From the hotel window, you can even see the 'Three-piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyline) without leaving your room, which is a fantastic view.

The only downside is that one evening I was lying down and noticed dust on the ceiling. Please clean it. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect stay.

After taking my kids to the TNT concert and exploring Shanghai for another day, I came here to revisit some old memories. Hongqiao Hotel, an old-school Shanghai hotel, was renovated, renamed, and then reverted to its original name, Hongqiao Hotel, in recent years. It really brings back so many memories! The renovated Hongqiao Hotel looks brand new, with playful colors and charming amenities, which is very refreshing. The facilities are also new, including USB charging ports. The design is very user-friendly, with a wet/dry separation in the bathroom. Perhaps because it's located in Shanghai's business district, I guess the CBD area, there are quite a few foreigners here. The key thing is that it offers great value for money. During the TNT concert, many of their fans stayed here, and it's only about a 20 RMB Didi ride from Shanghai Stadium, which is very convenient. Nearby, there's the L'Avenue shopping mall and The Place shopping mall, as well as Metro Line 2. A bit further away is Yili Road Station on Metro Line 10, which is also very convenient. If you're looking for a hotel that offers good value and convenient transportation, I recommend this place.

The edge of the toilet fixture was really sharp and placed too close to the toilet. I accidentally bumped into it and scraped my arm pretty badly. 

Service: The front desk staff's attitude has always been great. When there was an issue with the TV in my room, housekeeping quickly came to replace it.

Environment: However, the faucet in the bathroom today was problematic; it made a loud noise when turned on. Also, some buttons on the light control panel were too bright, which made it a bit hard to sleep at night.

We booked the family room. The room was spacious and even came with living room. It has two toilets. TV has a wide selection of movies to pick from. Room was booked for 3pax and we were also given breakfast for 3 pax. Breakfast was good with a variety of food selection. The location however was far from Chengyang town but very nearby Mingyue Shanhaijin which is why we picked this hotel location. From this hotel to airport was also convenient, in less than 30min by expressway.

Facilities: This stay was in a family suite, which is really great for those traveling with elderly parents and children. The two bedrooms are arranged on either side of the entrance, with the main bathroom and shower room in the middle. Each room has its own door, offering excellent privacy. Plus, the smaller room even has its own toilet, which is a really thoughtful touch – the designer put a lot of effort into this! The only minor drawback is that the smaller room doesn't have a window, but it does have an air conditioning vent, so it's not a major issue.

Cleanliness: The hotel is relatively new and very clean.

Environment: It's super convenient, just a 300-meter walk from two large night markets. It's a bit further from Shiqiaozi Morning Market, but a taxi ride is only 10 RMB, which is acceptable.

Service: Since I only stayed one night, I didn't experience much in terms of service, but the front desk staff were very polite and accommodating.

One slightly odd thing was the underground parking garage. The entrance was quite narrow, and both the entry and exit were at the same spot, yet there was an unnecessary separate door frame. Novice drivers, especially those with SUVs, should be careful.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied and would choose to stay here again next time.
