The most important feature of of this hotel is its location, on a walking distance from the Bund and its attractions. Also, it’s an historical building, nice and well preserved. Could be modernised respecting it’s essence. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is just so so. What surprised me in a hotel with so many foreigners is that most of the young staff doesn’t speak English. But in all it was a very good stay and I recommend it for a short stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, with several subway lines nearby making it very convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and efficient with the check-in process. The room was meticulously clean, and the bedding was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast offered a great variety of options; if you go after 9 AM, it's usually less crowded. The young lady greeting guests at the entrance was also very enthusiastic. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

I wanted to switch rooms because of some noise outside, so I called the front desk using the in-room phone. The front desk attendant's tone was very sluggish. When I asked to change rooms, she just assigned me a room far away without asking for my preferences. Later, I asked about a nearby room I had stayed in before and liked, giving her the room number. When I asked how long it would take to clean, she said she didn't know when it would be ready, in a very casual, 'hmm' sort of way. Afterward, I called using the official Trip.com number, and a different front desk attendant had a very pleasant tone and was a joy to speak with. She said she'd call me back once the room was cleaned. Two people, two completely different attitudes. I'm not sure if it's just their individual communication styles.

5 Stars – A Perfect Day Off at Golden Tulip Qingdao

After feeling completely drained from work, I decided to treat myself to a relaxing day off at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Qingdao—and it was the best decision I could’ve made. From the moment I walked in, everything felt top notch. The ambiance was calming, the staff were welcoming, and the room was spotless and comfortable.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the buffet breakfast. It had such a great variety—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I took my time, enjoyed every bite, and felt like I was finally recharging.

It was exactly the escape I needed. Golden Tulip delivered a flawless experience, and I’ll absolutely be back the next time I need a break. Highly recommended!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The service is very good, the room is very comfortable, and the parking is super convenient. It's a 3-5 minute walk to the Linghe Night Market and the Guta Night Market. I recommend this hotel to friends who want to go to Jinzhou to eat at the night market. I will stay here again next time I go to Jinzhou. I also recommend this hotel for breakfast. The grilled cold noodles are delicious.
