Cheap Hotels in Jeju City

"The hotel is pretty good, conveniently located close to everything. I've noticed that male front desk staff in Korea tend to be friendlier, and the cleaning ladies (ajummas) were also very nice. There's a restaurant at the intersection on the left side of the hotel that I highly recommend; the owner brought us fish every day and they even had Chinese-speaking staff. It was fantastic! Oh, one thing, the cleanliness of the swimming pool could use some improvement."

"The hotel's location is good; it's right across from Shilla Duty-Free Shop, making getting around convenient. There's also a supermarket in the lobby on the second floor, which is handy for buying things. This time, I stayed in family room 1602, which offered views of the sea and the airport. However, the air conditioning in this room wasn't working well. After maintenance came to check it out, they just gave us an extra fan, but it was still so hot we were sweating and couldn't sleep well. Also, for stays of two nights, the hotel doesn't clean the room; they only provide a few bottles of water and towels. Only guests staying three nights get one cleaning service. The room itself only had a small round table, and the bathroom counter was tiny, making it inconvenient to place items. Overall, the facilities are quite dated. In my opinion, it's fine for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for multiple consecutive nights."

"Definitely our favourite stay in Jeju — the service was excellent from start to finish. We were warmly greeted at the entrance, where the staff helped with our luggage, directed us to the carpark and explained where to go for check-in. The carpark was spacious, easy to navigate and had clear signage. The hotel lobby also smelled really nice. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and spoke good English. Check-in and parking were handled quickly. We were impressed by how spacious and clean the room was, with a great city view. The sheets and towels were spotless too. What really stood out was the attention to detail — the staff noticed we were travelling with our 4-year-old and had already prepared children’s slippers and a robe for us before we even reached the room. The outdoor pool was another highlight. It was heated, open until 11pm and had a beautiful view of the city. Towels and life jackets were provided, and the lifeguard and pool staff were very attentive. The glass panels could be cleaned a little more often to keep the view clearer, but overall it was a great experience. The complimentary shuttle to the airport and duty-free was very convenient, and the staff were helpful with our luggage throughout. The location is also great, with plenty of food options and supermarkets nearby. Overall, a wonderful stay with thoughtful service throughout — definitely deserving of its 5-star rating."

"For my first trip to Jeju, I opted for a branded hotel, which was very convenient as it's located in the city center, right above Lotte Duty Free, and close to the airport. This saved a lot of travel time, especially on the way back when there were long delays for check-in, baggage drop, and security at the airport. The hotel breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety. I stayed in a sea view room this time, and it was great; I even had the good fortune to see a double rainbow 🌈. Very satisfied, highly recommend."

"First off, a lot of the hotel's descriptions on the booking page are inaccurate. I'm not sure how it got the 'Chinese Preferred' label, because the two front desk staff members working when I checked in didn't speak any Chinese and said there was no Chinese service. When I tried to communicate with them using a translation app, they seemed a bit impatient. Later, customer service told me they do have Chinese-speaking staff, but they weren't on duty. At the very least, the original staff should have explained that there are Chinese speakers, but they weren't available, and apologized. Also, regarding the deposit: the page clearly stated no deposit was required, and it never mentioned needing to put down a credit card number. They just said it was either a credit card or 100,000 Korean Won. The hotel facilities are standard chain fare, nothing special. I hope Trip.com can be more accurate in its hotel descriptions in the future, otherwise it's misleading for customers!"

"Our flight was canceled due to a typhoon, so after searching through all the hotels in Jeju, we booked this one for a two-night stay. Pros: Away from the city center, beachfront with ocean views, great for tide pooling, laundry room available, nice staff, small convenience store in the lobby, and the pool doesn't require kids to wear life vests (huge plus!). However, the breakfast was a letdown (wouldn't recommend the buffet), and the room was incredibly small."

"2 of the man in charge of the front desk were unfriendly and looking fierce when we checked in. Upon checking out on the4th morning, we tried to ask them to assist in getting a taxi as I we have an early flight which they were reluctant. However, they complied but shouted at us to sit tight while he called for a taxi. This was uncalled for. Will never stay again even if the offer is free."

"The location and surroundings are excellent. Getting to the nearby Yanyuli is super convenient by Uber or Coco Talk, taking only about 15 minutes one way. The hotel's breakfast view is stunning, as it's a sea-view breakfast restaurant. As for the food, I personally think it's quite good. You can even DIY Korean bibimbap in the morning, though the variety isn't super extensive."

Most of the guests here are Korean, including many locals, making it a very authentic resort hotel [thumbs up]. 1. **Service:** From check-in, the front desk staff are all handsome guys and beautiful ladies. Their English is decent, and some also offer Chinese service. There's even a concierge service [you can add them on WeChat for instant Chinese communication] [blushing]. The staff genuinely put in effort to help you, and even if they can't always solve an issue, they're good at emotional support [adorable]. 2. **Transportation:** The location is a bit out of the way (mainly because most guests are Korean and drive), so I highly recommend binding your Uber account in advance if you plan to stay here. Also, the nearest convenience store requires a drive, so make sure to stock up on water, drinks, and snacks before you arrive [smiling face]. I foolishly tried to Uber from the hotel to the CU convenience store and back. When I saw the estimated fare was over 8,000 Korean Won, I silently closed Uber again [facepalm]. 3. **Pool:** The rooftop boasts an Instagram-famous infinity pool. The best time for photos is around 7 PM when the sun sets [selfie]. However, the water was quite dirty; after swimming, I noticed many indescribable things. I'd suggest just taking photos and checking it off your list [stoned]. The sauna is a bit small but usable. Both the pool and sauna/showers close at 8 PM, and they usually start aggressively ushering people out by 7:45 PM [crying with laughter]. 4. **Dining:** There are no duds in the restaurant; you can order and pick anything blindly! The breakfast was quite satisfying. While it can't compare to Atlantis, it's only slightly inferior to the Shangri-La's offerings [peeking eyes]. I highly recommend The Stone restaurant on the 3rd floor. I took a bunch of photos but couldn't find it listed on review sites. Their set menu is actually a great deal, but you need to book it a day in advance. If you don't get a set menu, N people will be more than satisfied with N+1 dishes; the portions are quite generous [thumbs up]. 5. **Accommodation:** Overall, I was happy with the room, but it was incredibly hot on the first night. The AC was on all night, and it was still hot [black question mark]. I pulled back the curtains and felt the glass – it was scorching [facepalm]! I don't know why this building absorbs so much heat but dissipates it so poorly, probably great for winter guests [frustrated]. Also, the large floor-to-ceiling window facing east doesn't have thick curtains, so you'll automatically wake up with the sun in the morning [facepalm]. The room is very spacious, and the shower and bath were excellent. It takes about an hour to fill the bathtub [sleeping face]. My personal tip is to fill it with hot water for 45 minutes, then add cold water for about 10 minutes, and it'll be perfect for a soak [sidelong glance]."

"Oh my goodness, this Ocean Hotel seriously exceeded my expectations! I only booked a twin room, but to my surprise, there was another small room inside! You could even put down a floor mattress! It could easily accommodate 4-5 people! The price was also quite reasonable (I hope they don't hike up the prices in the future!). Plus, it was exceptionally clean. Although the front desk lady didn't speak Chinese, she was incredibly patient and used a translation app to answer all our questions. And it's right across from the ocean, so the views are fantastic! Behind the hotel is Chilseong-ro Street, and there's even an Aesop store! Stussy is right downstairs! The location is truly excellent for getting great photos. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jeju Island, it's really great! Too bad I forgot to take photos inside the hotel!"
