Reception is at the 15th floor. Near MRT station but avoid peak hours, super packed. There's a night food street just across the main road , Search Liaoning food street. Breakfast is basic but acceptable. Overall satisfactory in our three beds room.

Free snacks and drinks are available on the ground floor, and the service is excellent, with a good location to boot. However, the hotel's biggest drawback is its outdated facilities. My room didn't have a window, and in a twin room, only one bed had a bedside light switch, and neither had power outlets at the headboard, which was quite inconvenient.

Considering the price range, the overall stay great. The hotel is quiet and clean. the breakfast room is freshly renovated and super clean. The front desk was super friendly and helping a lot with all requests.
because of renovations, facilities were not available but this wasn't a problem at all.
I would stay there again for sure.

Booked a single room for my business trip to Taipei this time, and it was excellent value for money. The breakfast had a good variety and consistent quality. The room was clean and tidy, and there was a water dispenser right by room 618, which was super convenient for hot and cold water – the hot water even reached 100 degrees, perfect for instant noodles! The only downsides were the lack of a convenience store nearby and the less-than-ideal transportation; the nearest MRT station, Taipower Building, was a 10-15 minute walk, a bit far.
ARK Hotel Taipei Chang'an is located in Taipei’s bustling East district. Liaoning Street Night Market where you can enjoy many local street food. From Nanjing Fuxing Exit 3, turn right to Fuxing North Road and walk for about 5 minutes until you reach the Ark Hotel at the intersection of Chang'an East Road.

The room was a bit small, but clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, which was great during the warm weather. There’s a FamilyMart nearby, so it’s convenient for snacks and drinks. The hotel is a little far from the nearest MRT station, but still walkable. Overall, a nice place for a short stay.

Booked two rooms for my trip, one for my parents and one for my wife and I. It's a cozy hotel, all rooms are located on one level which is the same as the reception.
Room size is decent, enough for both of us to put down our luggages and open them at the same time. I appreciate the mirror and basin is outside the toilet, however no hand soap was provided and there isn't any rack or hook around to put a hand towel.
Bathroom has a bathtub that doubles as the shower area, however there is a concern as there is quite a height difference and can be slippery when wet.
I would appreciate if they would install accessibility hand holds for the elderly so they can reduce the risk of falling when climbing out from the bathtub.
Water and snacks are readily provided, the snack area make way for breakfast in the morning and the food is quite decent. Though if you're in Taiwan for the first time you might want to go out and try out the various ********* breakfast like egg crepe, soy milk with fried dough etc.
Location wise this hotel is just one of the best place I've stayed in Taiwan, it's close to two metro stations and there are tons of stuff to eat around. There's also two sogo shopping centres nearby, with NET and Uniqlo flagships stores along the same street too if you're looking for affordable fits.
No laundry though, not even coin operated ones. I've stayed in similar style hotel in Taiwan which has those provided so I'm a little disappointed.
All in all it's quite a nice hotel, I would stay here again if I come to Taipei for short stays (2-3 nights), though not with my parents until they improve their accessibility.

I always stay here. The location is super convenient. The hotel service, especially at the front desk, and the breakfast are so thoughtful. Everything is arranged perfectly. It's truly on par with a five-star hotel. Other than earning loyalty points, I don't see any significant difference with a five-star. The breakfast coffee and afternoon coffee are great, and it's a peaceful retreat in the midst of the city. I wouldn't choose anywhere else in Taipei.

It is located close to Songshan Airport, so transportation is convenient.
There is a subway station or bus stop nearby, so it was easy to get around.
It was a little disappointing that there was no window in the room, but
the staff at the front desk were friendly, and it was nice to be able to rest in the breakfast area before check-in or after check-out.
There was a small table, so it was good for a quick meal or work.
The outlet right in front of the table was a 220v compatible cord, so it was easy to charge without a separate converter jack.

The bathtub was comfortable, and it even had a TV for when you're soaking. The room was a bit compact, but the mini-bar was well-stocked with coffee and tea, plus drinks in the fridge, which was a thoughtful touch. Since check-in wasn't until after 4 PM, I dropped off my luggage early. When I returned in the evening, the hotel had already placed my bags in the room. The shower door seal wasn't great, though, and a little water leaked onto the floor outside.

The place was clean and tidy, and the staff were all very friendly. However, there's a strict rule that the washing machine can't be used after 10 PM, but the staff stopped us from using it at 9:40 PM. Perhaps next time, guests could be informed that the service stops at 9:30 PM? Also, the towels were so worn out, they looked like floor rags. If they weren't kept separate, I might have mistaken them for one!

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage
Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable.
2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance
When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside?
3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior
After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues.
As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight.
We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of:
- Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance
- Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival
- Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior
We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future.
Thank you for your attention.
SStella_CThe location is amazing! From Taipei Main station exit Z2 or M6. Go to the building and reception is at level 5. Many food places nearby, including local and international chains, and Starbucks as well. Staff are generally friendly. However, we were plagued by mosquitoes in the room everyday and every night, had to keep fighting them. The air con control panel is a dud. It's actually central air conditioning yet they just told us it is slow to adjust. As a result we were freezing through the first part of the night then too warm for the 2nd part. When it gets too cold, even if we turn off the air con, we can feel the cold air continue to come out of the vents. When I asked if it's possible to change room, reception claimed they were fully booked. Not my best stay in Taiwan I'm afraid. I guess its great for those who prefer rooms constantly around 21-22 Celcius.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.
AAlouAccomodation is very convenient walking distance to Ximending, Ximen Train station and Taipei Main Station. Other guests are very respectful in the room and maintaining cleanliness and noise. Very safe for solo travelers! You can also self check-out. Overall highly recommended. ❤️
AAnonymous UserGotten a basement room, the room is clean but kinda small to open up the luggage. Also because it's basement room, there is a constant musky smell emitting from the toilet and filled up the room pretty fast. Have request for a change of room but it is similar issue. Overall it's a comfortable stay near XMD but the room smell is pretty bad.
AAllanYongSoonTzek93I had a really enjoyable stay at MeWorld of Taipei, and overall it was a very positive experience from start to finish. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to come back to after long days exploring the city. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized, which immediately gave me peace of mind.
One of the highlights for me was the convenience of the location. Getting around Taipei was easy, with public transport, food options, and convenience stores all within walking distance. This made daily planning very flexible, whether I was heading out early in the morning or returning later at night. The area felt safe and lively, yet quiet enough to rest properly.
The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered patiently, and communication was smooth and clear. Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward and hassle‑free, which is something I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests.
The room itself was comfortable, tidy, and suitable for resting or working, with everything I needed for a short or longer stay. The environment was calm and relaxing, making it easy to sleep well despite being in a busy city like Taipei. I also appreciated how clean the common areas were, showing good attention to hygiene and maintenance.
Overall, MeWorld of Taipei offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a smooth stay experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taipei and would happily recommend it to friends, whether they are traveling solo, with family, or for work.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and it's also close to Taipei Main Station. If you're taking the Airport MRT, I recommend exiting from Taipei Main Station A1, Exit 5. From there, you can walk straight to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes (including waiting for traffic lights).
The nearby MRT stations are NTU Hospital Station (3-minute walk) and Taipei Main Station (7-minute walk). There are also many bus stops, making transportation very convenient.
Regarding the check-in experience, the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and guest rooms for this hotel occupy floors 3-5. There are only two elevators, and since the building houses other businesses, waiting for an elevator can take a while.
The front desk staff were professional and efficient. Before check-in, there was about a minute-long 'rap' outlining the check-in policies.
The hotel bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean. It seems to have been recently renovated, as it felt spacious and bright. Soundproofing was acceptable; I could still hear cleaning noises from outside and sounds from the adjacent room. I chose a room with a window this time, but the window couldn't be opened.
Amenities provided were limited to slippers and toilet paper. The shampoo and shower gel were a 2-in-1 product, with a light, pleasant scent and no strange odors.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even exceeding my expectations.
(Attached: hotel check-in instructions, a picture before check-out, and the nearest Airport MRT exit to the hotel.)
GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Taipei Main Station's M2 exit. You can easily walk to Ningxia Night Market and Ximending in about 20 minutes, and even Dihua Street if you're up for it. Popular spots like Fuhang Soy Milk and Shuangyue Food Company are also within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble finding great food and shopping from morning till night.
The guest rooms are located on the 5th to 7th floors of a multi-purpose building. While the double bed takes up most of the room, making it quite compact, there's a small indoor balcony-like space at the back. It has a compact table and chairs, perfect for eating takeout, and enough room to open your suitcase.
JjasbetaSince it was the New Year holiday, the hotel price was quite expensive. It's an older hotel, but still clean, and the location is good for getting around. I'd consider staying here again next time I visit Taiwan (of course, the weekday prices are much cheaper).
