Hotels near MRT Ximen Station, Taipei

The location is very convenient with the Simen MRT just a short walk away. It's good if one plans to use the MRT frequently. It's easy to walk around the whole Simending area from the hotel. Did not try any food at the hotel as one is spoilt for choice in terms of food from the Ximending area. The air-conditioner was not working properly from the first day, as it was very warm and couldn't be adjusted. Called for someone to take a look and was told they would come immediately. Waited but no one came. Called again and was told they would come by later. We were going out and they reassured us that their service staff would come by accompanied by another staff. Shortly after the call, the service staff arrived, unaccompanied. It was just as well we had not left. The room is big but the design has not been well thought out. The sink is located outside the bathroom. Its design (low sink) and mirror behind means, when one uses it to wash face etc water is splashed around and the floor gets wet. However, the hotel does not provide any more towels other than those given so one has to move the floor towel(mat) between the bathroom and the sink outside. The lighting system is also not very convenient. We had 2 double beds but there was no way to control the lighting so that if one party wanted to sleep, the other party could read. The TV system (with the box hidden behind the TV itself) frequently had signal issues. It was common to be unable to change the channel or the signage No signal would appear frequently either early in the morning or late at night. We also had a bathroom where the floor just in front of the WC had a slight damage in the form of a black patch which however looked very unsightly. It would have been good if the hotel had done something to make it look better as it left a poor impression. We had requested for a quiet room. Unfortunately, almost every night/morning there were people talking loudly or kids shouting. Overall, if one does not plan to spend time in the bathroom, it would be a good choice just for the location and convenience.

Check in lobby is at level 3. Is not a fancy or luxury hotel but the room is clean. Linen are soft. Room cleaning has to make an appointment one day before. The facilities are running down. Location is convenient near red and blue lines. Is about 11mins walk to ximending. The only issue we had was the fire siren went off at 5:30am. The fire brigade and police came after. There is a breakfast spot on the opposite right side corner. Was told the hotel always have the fire alarm. Enjoy your stay!

Located in a bit of a secluded spot, it's a 5-minute walk to Ximending Pedestrian Area. The hotel occupies just one floor, the 10th, and the floor itself feels a bit dated. I'd estimate there are only about 22 rooms. It seems to be a converted residential apartment, and the partitions are like plasterboard, so the soundproofing isn't great. Luckily, being on the 10th floor, you can barely hear the street noise, so it's still quite peaceful. There's a convenience store right around the corner from the elevator, and to the left, you'll find Liang Shan Po Xiao Long Bao, which opens at 10 AM and usually has a queue. Personally, I didn't find the taste particularly great. I think the handmade buns and xiao long bao further down on the right, on the same row as 7-Eleven, are much better. Across the street, Chen's Vermicelli has an oyster vermicelli that's absolutely delicious, even better than A Zong's pig intestine vermicelli.

The hotel has an excellent location, right in the heart of Ximending. From MRT Ximen Exit 6, walk straight until you reach the intersection (Xing Fu Tang bubble tea on your right, Pop Mart on your left). Turn left, walk a bit further, then take the first left into an alley, and you'll find the hotel on your right. In front of the elevator entrance, there's a bar. The room isn't very spacious, and the walls aren't very soundproof, but I didn't experience any disturbing noise. The bathroom has a bidet sprayer. It's a great location for finding late-night food; the area is lively and not scary – bubble tea shops are still open at 11 PM. The staff provided lovely service, and you can leave your luggage after check-out.

I had a really enjoyable stay at MeWorld of Taipei, and overall it was a very positive experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized, which immediately gave me peace of mind. One of the highlights for me was the convenience of the location. Getting around Taipei was easy, with public transport, food options, and convenience stores all within walking distance. This made daily planning very flexible, whether I was heading out early in the morning or returning later at night. The area felt safe and lively, yet quiet enough to rest properly. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered patiently, and communication was smooth and clear. Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward and hassle‑free, which is something I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests. The room itself was comfortable, tidy, and suitable for resting or working, with everything I needed for a short or longer stay. The environment was calm and relaxing, making it easy to sleep well despite being in a busy city like Taipei. I also appreciated how clean the common areas were, showing good attention to hygiene and maintenance. Overall, MeWorld of Taipei offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a smooth stay experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taipei and would happily recommend it to friends, whether they are traveling solo, with family, or for work.

It's a 10 min walk from metro ximen exit 6.. we put our luggages in the lobby and came back 6 pm..the staff upgraded our room to a bigger room and beds..good service and polite staffs.the hotel and our room is clean..just a basic hotel..nothing fancy but for the price is worth it.the surroundings are safe so solo traveller don't worry. Have restos around it.but just few walks from metro so just a little inconvenience carrying big luggages..bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste..other toiletries the hotel provides . From our room I didn't hear noises which is good the water pressure is also good.. free coffee anytime at the lobby too

The room description was misleading. There's a window in the bathroom, but when you close the bathroom door, it's just like a windowless room. The showerhead was broken, and the room had a slight musty smell. The location is great, very convenient for transportation and close to Ximending. It's okay for a short, temporary stay. I had planned to extend my stay, but the price didn't match the living conditions, so I decided to switch to the nearby Sanyuan Hotel, which offers excellent living conditions, service, and value.

The lobby, hallways, and rooms were all quite clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The only downside is that the soundproofing is a bit poor; you can clearly hear music from the upstairs room, and it's pretty loud. If you don't mind that, I'd still recommend it.

Fantastic views, corner deluxe room, have views of Ximending market area, plus Taipei 101 on other side. Location is almost perfect, general location was good, but due to the shared elevators with the entire block of malls and Movie Theatre, the wait times during show times was horrible. The hotel was on the top most floor, and had to stop at every floor of show rooms before we could get off. Plus side is that I could see the morning street stalls had arrived, and could get down early for no-queue Scallion Pancakes. Shower glass was not sealed, water leaks to dry area during showers. Old toilet flushing, staff said could not handle toilet papers. Staff was always available at front desk, provides many services, such as booking airport transfers, and food/souvenir deliveries.

Third time year (consecutive years). Very good location and affordable pricing. Accoms is basic but clean and good so no complaints. Appreciate the common microwave, and water dispenser for refilling water. Pardon the messy bed - that's just right before we check out.
