"first of all, the man at the reception did not check that we had already paid for the room. He presented a bill that needs to be paid now. I said several times that we have already paid for the number and showed a copy of the bill. He denied it, but he did a better search and found that we are already paid. He just said it was the software's fault, not his. I have been flying to Hamburg for almost 3 years and staying for a few days and booking a hotel. I have never had such a misunderstanding in other districts of Hamburg. Upon entering the room, everything was clean, but the bedding had an unpleasant smell.."

"We stayed at your hotel for 18 nights in total as we were visiting our son and his family for the Christmas holidays. He lives nearby so this hotel was VERY convenient. The housekeeping was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot water and pulsating shower in the bathroom. We were disappointed that there was not a coffee maker/kettle in the room. We were also rather disappointed that the full breakfast buffet on a couple of occasions did not have the hot items readily available. We were able to order individual servings of such items but it was not the same as being able to freely pick and choose what we wanted. We also noticed that the hot drinks that were dispensed from the machine were NOT hot at all and just merely warm. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous at all times. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit our son in Hamburg."

"This small European hotel is an unexpected surprise during the trip! From the moment you step into the antique lobby, you feel warmth and elegance. Although the room is not large, it is extremely exquisitely decorated, and you can catch a glimpse of the charming street view outside the window. The breakfast is rich and varied, and fresh bread and coffee make you full of energy. What impressed me most was the enthusiasm and attentiveness of the staff. Every time we met, they greeted each other with a smile, making people feel at home. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and comfortable, ideal for relaxing after exploring the city."

"Upon arrival we had two down duvets and pillows while we are very allergic. When we asked for synthetic blankets we were told that if we came back in the evening, we could pick up the blankets ourselves at the reception. Upon returning after dinner it turned out that they only had 3 synthetic blankets, of which they had already given 2 to someone else. So we had to share one single blanket with two people. Because they did not have keys to the housekeeping cupboard, where there were more blankets. Very bad. They indicated that they would have a t****e blanket in the morning and that we would get compensation for the first night, for example a free breakfast that we had not yet booked. That would be nice. But the next morning they said that we could no longer get breakfast, because they had not counted on it in terms of numbers. While the booking stated that we could still buy breakfast on site. Even breakfast the next day was no longer possible. So we got a voucher to spend at the bar for €5,=. Not comparable to a breakfast for 2 people of course. All in all a very bad experience."

"Very welcoming hotel. I like the location, it is close to S1 and in a calm area with lots of green. The food is of good quality and has many options. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated but do expect luxury or nice views. The carpet on the corridor is a a bit stained but overall and is clean."

"Ich fand das Hotel immer so so schön Badezimmer war unfassbar schön. Die Zimmer waren unfassbar schön die Möbel waren genauso geil hingestellt. Alles fallen einfach schön. Ich würde das Hotel immer weiter empfehlen und immer da hingehen weil ich jetzt in Hamburg bin. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt"

"Good location. Clean room, comfy bed, safe in room. Again extra charge for use of the Sauna of 20 euros per person per day, not advertised on booking for Sauna hotel with added wait of one hour to heat sauna up beforehand. room was really cold on entering with window open. had to put the radiator on myself to warm up. Hotel is opposite train station for easy access to all tourist attractions in Hamburg and beyond."

"The rooms are clean but a bit old and small, especially the bathroom which is really really tiny. The breakfast is very good, super fresh and offers lots of variety. The location is right next to the Altona station which can be convenient."
