Hotels near Mecon, Takamatsu

"We booked a double room, but upon arrival we were given a very small room with two single beds. There was minimal space between the beds, and overall the room did not match what we had booked. Before our arrival, we submitted a request to the hotel asking for a double bed instead of two single beds. Trip.com indicated that our request had been forwarded to the hotel. However, when we checked in, the staff told us that they had not received such a request and refused to change the beds to a double bed. They also said that an extra charge per night would be required to provide a double bed. This was disappointing, as we had booked a double room and the request had been marked as handled on our side. This was the first time we experienced an issue like this for such a simple request, and we were quite disappointed with the service. In addition, the size of the bathroom was very small. It was not practical for two people to be in the bathroom at the same time, which further affected the comfort of our stay. We hope you will look into this matter and improve the handling of bed-type requests for future guests. Thank you."

"A wonderfully located hotel right in front of the Takamatsu Station. It is also relatively new hotel. So amenities and room are very client centric! Onsen is rather small but clean. Breakfast is at a Izakaya on the ground level. It is a set meal. One can choose from 3 options. We had the same food for two days. The hotel is literally across the Takamatsu Castle."

"After some thought, I decided to choose a hotel near Takamatsu Station, as my itinerary for the following days involved early morning train or ferry travel. This proved to be the right decision; the hotel is not only close to the station but also brand new. The free breakfast offers basic options every day, but also a different special daily! The facilities are complete, and they even provide recycling bins."

"Everything was as expected and the room was a comfortable size for solo travel, even allowing to open a suitcase properly which is sometimes very difficult in average Japan hotels with limited space! The location was amazing just a five mins stroll to the main train station, where you can do shopping conveniently, and also the ferry port for island hopping during the Setouchi Art Triennial. I was asked to stay in the 2nd building for the hotel which didn’t create any issues, just a small block away, the hotel/staff were very helpful in allowing to store the luggage even before and after check in for a full day!"

"Very satisfied. Good Points👍 - Very convenient, just a 2-3 minute walk from the station! There's a convenience store (Ministop) diagonally across the street. - There's a small clothes rack in the bathroom, which is a nice touch. - BS broadcasts are available (which is often not available in hotels of this cab). - Bicycle rentals available. Not so good points - No lace curtains. Only one blackout curtain. - The room light switch is far from the bed, which is inconvenient for sleeping. They looked after my luggage before and after check-in and checked-out, and they even loaned me a bicycle. The main street leading to Ritsurin Garden has a bicycle zone on the sidewalk, making it easy to cycle."

"I've been to Japan many times, but this is the first time I've stayed at a hotel with such great value for money. Three nights only cost a little over 900 RMB, which is an absolute steal! The hygiene and service were both excellent, it's just a 10-minute walk from the station, and it's very quiet. OK."

The hotel is quite old, so it can't be helped to have a color 々, but it's a recommended hotel if you stay in business. "The landscape is open and you can see the sea. Room facilities are all available, you can watch Netflix. The location is a 20-minute walk from the pier and a 15-minute walk from the nearest station. It is inconvenient if it rains. Although located in the so-called ***, it is extremely quiet, sparsely populated and there is no safety concern."

"We stayed with five adults and one child. It was within walking distance of Takamatsu Station, so it was easily accessible. The facility itself was clean and had most of the amenities! There was free laundry and detergent provided, which was very helpful for us on a long trip. Finding the key wasn't that difficult. We entered the number they sent us into the tablet, and then entered the passcode that appeared at the end into the box next to the tablet to retrieve the key. If I had to say one thing, it was the lack of stairs that was a bit of a pain. Our room was on the third floor, so it was a bit tiring to climb up on a tired day after work."
