Although the hotel isn't right in the city center, it's not far from downtown. It offers a quiet escape while still being conveniently located, and the environment is comfortable and peaceful. It's very close to Kok Tobe mountain, less than a 30-minute walk away. The front desk staff were also very helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.

I got one of those rooms with Mountain View in February 2026 during winter. I liked the hotel. It was quiet and even when I went alone, the room was big enough for two people. The Balcony door was closed not sure why, but the window can be opened. The amenities, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit, shampoo, soap, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, water, cups, spoons, towels, flip-flops, security box, TV, heater, bathrobe. The breakfast was pretty decent, the rice sometimes was a bit hard. The hotel has a very good location and in front there is a University with a starbucks. Also near there are coffee shops and pubs, burger king and etc. At the top of the hotel there is a restaurant where you can see the whole city. I thinn I would stay here again.

This Chinese-owned hotel truly touched my heart! After staying at three or four hotels in Almaty, I finally found one I absolutely rave about! The location is right at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. Opening the window reveals endless snow-capped peaks in the distance, and lush greenery in front. If you're lucky, you might even see squirrels darting through the branches. Taking a deep breath of fresh air made waking up in a wonderful mood! The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They helped with my luggage as soon as I got off the bus, enthusiastically recommended things to do nearby, and asked if the food suited my taste. Even traveling alone, I didn't feel lonely or helpless. Experiencing this kind of service in a foreign country makes you want to stay longer. I finally tasted the familiar flavors of home! Breakfast included millet porridge, fried dough sticks, and naan bread, along with several delicious side dishes. My stomach felt so comfortable afterward—it's so comforting for a Chinese palate! Another great detail: all the electrical outlets in the restaurant and rooms are Chinese standard! No need to bring an adapter; you can plug in your phone or laptop anywhere. No more worrying about forgetting your adapter! Anyone who travels abroad frequently will truly appreciate the value of this small detail! The sheets and duvet covers were brand new, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable. I've stayed at several places in Almaty before, and they were either outdated or difficult to communicate with. This place was truly comfortable in every way. In short, I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Almaty, and I recommend it to all my Chinese friends visiting the area!

as a new hostel in almaty, this Hostel definately you should try to book. just perfect for me. i love walking and sightseeing. this hostel location also close to ascension catedral, and hotel kazakhstan, means also near to bus station that will take you to shymbulak mountain. the owner of this hostel , she is amazing. did good job to make sure her guest happy and enjoy the stay

The reception was very welcoming and ready to help with any requests I had. The only things I'd like to point out are the lack of mirrors in the bathrooms (except in the shower, where there's a small mirror) and the fact that the lockers don't lock; even when locked, the left-hand space can still be opened. Otherwise, I'd recommend this hostel.

I chose this hostel for my solo trip, and it was a delightful surprise! First off, the value for money is exceptional. The price was very friendly, and the private room I booked was quiet and secluded. Both the room and the common areas were clean and hygienic, making for a very comfortable stay. There's a self-service tea station in the common area, always available for use. The front desk lady spoke excellent English and was incredibly enthusiastic; she patiently answered all my questions. Payment was also convenient, as WeChat Pay is supported. During my stay, I even met several fellow travelers and we had a great time chatting and sharing our itineraries. Getting around is super easy too; there's a bus stop right outside the door with a direct bus to the airport, no transfers needed. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area, and I highly recommend it to other travelers!

This hotel was the most delightful surprise of my trip abroad. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and I could get a good night's sleep after a long day. The owner was warm and attentive, communication was smooth, and they patiently offered travel suggestions. And what's more! They even made dumplings for us! Such thoughtfulness made me feel incredibly safe in a foreign country. Overall, a perfect experience, definitely a hidden gem hotel I'd stay at again. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very clean and the location is excellent, making it convenient for both living and sightseeing. There's a shopping mall right across from the hotel, and a mountain and river behind it, offering a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. There's also a bus stop right outside the entrance. You can choose it based on your needs.

The room is spacious for 2 and is clean. The receptionist can speak and understand English. We will book this place again when we go back to Almaty. Thank you so much.
