"For this summer vacation, I deliberately chose the quiet country of Laos. The hotels, both 5-star and 4-star, offered great value for money. The breakfast was also excellent. I was very satisfied. Especially traveling with my 14-month-old child, it wasn't difficult at all. After Vang Vieng, I'm now staying 3 nights in Vientiane. See you again, Amari Vang Vieng!!"
"Upon arriving at the hotel, the receptionist, Nong Suan, checked us in and informed us that our room had been upgraded to the best suite on the seventh floor. She was very friendly and welcoming, which was excellent! The room itself was spacious with mountain views and a view of the pool. It had all the amenities one would expect from a hotel. The TV channels were limited and only in Chinese. Regarding the room conditions, there are several areas that need improvement. For instance, there were water stains on the ceiling around the air conditioning vents in both the living room and bedroom. In the bathroom, there were yellow stains around the toilet, and the showerhead and the area where you stand to shower had stains. The silicone sealant around the sink was moldy and black. If these issues were addressed, it would be fantastic."
"Good location as it is away from the night market which is very noisy and loud at night. Can get peaceful sleep here. Can also access YouTube from TV otherwise local TV has nothing to view. Proprietress is helpful to carry your luggage up staircase to room. Other than that, she is not helpful to give information which you can get from Laos visitor centre. Very easy to walk around but do not expect much to see."
"The hotel is on the main street, so traffic until late night. Even if I had asked a quiet room (I know it is not guaranteed) I was given a room over the main street and the funny thing is that the window door was not closing so all the noise was entering, together with smells (pollution and smoke from different fires). Apart from this, room was clean and comfortable. Smell from the bathroom where, in the shower, you only have the tall and fix shower head meaning you cannot just wash your feet if in need, every time you have to take a shower. Unfortunately staff was not so helpful (anyway polite). Pool always in the shade."
"This is our go-to hotel every time we visit Vang Vieng. The facilities are excellent, and as soon as you enter the room, there's a subtle, pleasant scent – absolutely no strange odors, which is the most comfortable feeling. The breakfast is abundant, and the environment is elegant and cozy. The proprietress is exceptionally kind, warm-hearted, and approachable; she personally greets us every time we come, providing impeccable service down to the smallest detail. The hotel is located right next to the Mekong River, and the garden is also very spacious, with many spots perfect for photos. The pool is cleaned regularly every day, so it's always sparkling clean and hygienic. Highly recommend this hotel in Vang Vieng! 👍🎈"
"This hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of Vang Vieng. If you're coming by the Laos-China railway, just hop on the green public minibus and tell the driver to drop you off at Ruby Mountain. It's only about a 10-minute ride. It's also close to motorcycle rental shops, so you can easily zip around the city. We rode to the Blue Lagoon and Pha Ngern viewpoint – the weather was amazing! The room was clean, the bathtub was comfortable, and the room had a pleasant fragrance. The TV could access YouTube, and there was a hairdryer. All the amenities provided were excellent. Highly recommended! The staff are Chinese and Black, and they communicate well in English. It made traveling around so easy. I loved it!"
"The hotel is conveniently located right as you enter Vang Vieng from the high-speed rail station. It's a short walk of a few minutes to the most bustling part of Vang Vieng's main street. The surrounding area is generally quiet, with a peaceful temple next door. Inside, the hotel, including the restaurant and rooms, is clean and comfortable. The pool water was a bit chilly in January. Most guests were European or American tourists, and the breakfast offered a good variety. Service was excellent."
"The lobby is large and spacious, with a swimming pool and an elevator. It's clean. The air conditioning wasn't cool at night, so I informed the staff and they promptly changed my room. Overall, it was good and inexpensive, costing a little over 600 (baht) split between two friends. The breakfast options were a bit limited, with only fried rice, salad, bread, tea, and coffee. It would be great if there were more choices."
"The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the night market, and getting to the main street is super convenient. The staff were all friendly and polite; there was a water outage at one point, but it was resolved quickly. The noise issue is a bit harder to deal with—there are a few construction sites nearby, and you can hear loud music from nightclubs at night. If you're sensitive to noise, you might want to skip this one. Oh, and there's a noodle shop across from the hotel that looked really popular, but I didn't get a chance to try it this time, which is a shame."

Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe place located a bit far from Vangvieng city center but it's a perfect place for staycation. We went there on week day so there's not a lot of people stay in the hotel which is very good for our group.
Hotel have a wonderful view of mountain and river for us to just sit and stair at it, but if you prefer to swim can go ahead!
Staff are very friendly and ready to help, 100% satisfy with all service. We contacted hotel staff before our visit so they turn on the AC ready before our arrival.
We also met two lovely siberian husky there too!
GGuest UserVery nice and clean. The bed is comfortable and the wifi is strong. There's more than enough deck chairs around the pool and on the rooftop to lounge at, and to watch the countdown fireworks that the staff launch from the entrance.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming every time I walk past the lobby. The location is very convenient and the breakfast is very worth the price. Other than the buffet on offer (which rotates daily), you can still choose an item off the ala carte menu. They also allow refilling of water bottles at breakfast, which is great for both the wallet and the environment.
Activities and laundry service that they offer are also priced pretty conveniently. I'll definitely stay here again should I come back to Vang Vieng.
Iian_smashWe stayed in the deluxe villa for 2 nights and it was well worth it. Just chilling out on the deck and having breakfast whilst enjoying the rice field with the mountain as the backdrop is just magical. Not only was the setting but the bed was comfortable, the room was very cozy, aircon in good working order (as the heat can be unbearable during the day), amenities, shower etc were all perfect. I couldn’t get the TV working but it did not bother us so much as we were enjoying the peace and tranquility. I highly recommened waking up at dawn and take a walk through the rice fields to soak it all in whilst noone is around. Perfect time to meditate or do yoga during the summer season. Staff were also very welcoming and friendly, and would attend to our needs when required. And f you are in two minds between here and a hotel in town, I’d say here is by far more exceptional.
MMathilde_rltIncredible hotel! The room was beautiful and very clean, with a stunning view of the mountains and the city.
There's a superb rooftop terrace where you can watch the sunset and see hot air balloons and paramotors flying by.
The breakfast was very varied, offering Asian dishes as well as bread, pancakes, muffins, lots of fruit, and more.
The owners are lovely and very attentive. We rented a scooter from the hotel at a very reasonable price, and they also offer to book activities and transportation for you.
And the hotel has a beautiful, clean swimming pool!
I highly recommend it.
NNontoMy friend and I recently enjoyed a stay at this hotel in Vang Vieng, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. The hotel offered a breathtaking view that set the perfect backdrop for our getaway. One morning, we were treated to the magical sight of hot air balloons drifting across the sky, adding an extra layer of wonder to our stay.
The location couldn’t have been better, providing easy access to local restaurants and cultural sights. The friendly and attentive staff ensured our comfort throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a mix of scenic beauty and warm hospitality, this hotel in Vang Vieng is an excellent choice.
Ccalzburpsclean and big hotel!! happy with the service.
only complaint is that it is super near the shops and roads hence the music sound was super loud and we couldnt sleep the whole night. && When it rains, the rain sound platter against the window frames, making it very loud and hard to sleep…
AAdalbertThe hotel is not quite new, that is obvious. The mirror on the room was missing, broken out by force.
There is no WiFi except in the reception area. The photo of the building shows balconies at all rooms on the photo side. But my room had none.
There was no daily room service.
For the rest it was okay. Well maintained, clean, quiet inside and mountain view from the windows. Small fridge, AC, full working bathroom. (Long waiting for warm water)
The breakfast buffet was great.
The swimming pool in front of the entrance was good. The seating area around poor. I really missed a bigger and nicer area, perhaps garden like around. Especially for I had no balcony.
I would go there again for sleeping and having breakfast. But for holidays I want to have a decent place outdoors as well.
HHeiressjloIts a nice hotel overlooking the Nam Song River with the nice view of Vang Vieng mountain ranges. However, its an old hotel and most of the tourists are chinese. One good thing is that its very accessible to the main street where you can book activities for paramotoring etc. Also, breakfast is good and quite filling, loved the soup. Overall, a good place to stay for a good price, esp that I was able to enjoy the view of the hot air balloons flying in the comfort of my balcony. View = superb 💯
GGemini112The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and the room had a great view.
The included breakfast isn’t worth paying for and the wifi wasn’t reliable
NNicola DawnWe booked this knowing some of the reviews were not good and fully aware of what we were paying, so always take reviews with a pinch of salt. On arrival we were given our room, the bed was rock hard (never had anything like it), the room was in the top corner next to the road and we could hear chickens, people walking into the hotel and bikes/cars. Dreadful night sleep. In the morning we realized we had booked a Bungalow and so asked to be moved to what we had booked. We were allowed to select between 34 an 35. 35 was the better of the two. Bed was still rock hard but we were further from the noise. However the sink water did not drain it just poured onto the floor (worst thing I’ve ever experienced). By day 3 we had to ask for the room to be cleaned as wasn’t done every day. We had to ask for towels each day too. The breakfast was similar to other places in this price bracket.. eggs, toast and coffee from a packet. The pool was lovely and very clean and grounds were nice. We also rented bicycles which were great to explore some of the further away places. I think with some much needed TLC, a lick of paint here and there and more effort into cleaning this could be a great place to stay.
