"De Baron has been so wonderful we have now booked twice and don’t want to leave! The view, the pool & waterslides and wildlife are wonderful! Make sure you stop and see the incredible ‘mouse deer’ on your way to the pool! I had no idea they existed until our Langkawi adventure!! We’ve even fallen in love with the big fish in reception! Every staff member we’ve encountered has been exceptionally kind and welcoming!"

"We booked the sea facing room and it is worth every dollar…! The rooms are very clean and the room amenities are excellent…! They provided everything from the hair dryer to the iron and ironing board. PERFECT…! Location wise is a bit far off from the hotspots but it’s ok as there are restaurants at the ground & lower ground floors of the hotel. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy but for the price I paid I am just grateful."

"We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff provided excellent service and were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The breakfast was simple but satisfactory, offering enough variety to start the day. We also appreciated having connecting rooms, which were perfect for traveling with family. However, it would be even better if both connecting rooms were equipped with showers instead of only one. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and we would consider staying here again."

"The location is okay, about a 15-minute walk from Eagle Square and Billion Duty Free Supermarket (Langkawi). The hygiene was average, and the in-room facilities felt a bit outdated. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive and didn't really suit my taste, but my mom quite liked it. The front desk service was good, and the room was cleaned daily with toiletries replenished."

"Beautiful hotel with cool environment , friendly staffs giving good advice and guidance for daily tour trip. We really enjoy the Mangrove tour suggestion from the staff. Very satisfied with the breakfast menu. Great place to stay in Langkawi."

"⭐️ (Strongly Not Recommended) My stay at A Coral Reefs Resort from 21–23 March started off acceptable, but what happened after check-out was deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s professionalism and integrity. After I had already left the property and arrived at the airport, I received a call accusing me of being involved in a missing RM1200 reported by three foreign guests. This accusation was based solely on a vague CCTV clip showing me sitting in the lobby and putting something into my pocket. Let me be absolutely clear: such an allegation, made without concrete evidence, is irresponsible and unacceptable. The hotel’s account of the incident was inconsistent and unreliable. I was first told the money was left on a table, and later it was claimed to be inside a pair of pants. The inability to establish even the most basic facts seriously calls into question the credibility of the entire claim. Even more concerning is the timeline. If the alleged incident took place on 21 March, why was I only contacted on 23 March, after I had already checked out and reached the airport? This delay reflects either poor internal handling or a lack of proper investigation. The CCTV clip provided was incomplete and unclear. It merely shows me placing my own personal belongings (my phone and medicated oil) into my pocket. There is absolutely no evidence that I handled or took any cash. Relying on such selective and inconclusive footage to imply wrongdoing is not only unprofessional, but also unfairly damaging to a guest’s reputation. We have formally requested the full CCTV footage to ensure transparency and proper verification of facts. Failure to provide complete and unedited recordings will only further undermine the credibility of this accusation. If this matter is not handled appropriately, we will not hesitate to escalate it through formal complaint channels. Guests should be aware that without clear evidence, this establishment is willing to cast suspicion based on assumptions rather than facts."

"Stayed at HIG Hotel recently and the room was okay—not too big, but not too small either. The bed was actually nicely made and comfortable, and I have to say the breakfast was really nice too, which was a great way to start the day. However, the bathroom definitely needs some work. There was a bit of a smell, and I realized there wasn't any shower gel provided. It felt like the toilet area needed a deep clean because there were some black spots on the glass and everything. The sink should probably be checked as well, and it would be the best if they could provide face and hair towels too. Decent stay, but the bathroom maintenance really needs to be improved."

"Overall, I was quite satisfied with the service, but the professionalism of a few individual staff members really needs improvement. When we arrived at 12 PM on August 8th, the female front desk staff completely disregarded our booking information and room availability, directly refusing to check us in and insisting we wait until 3 PM. At 3 PM, she then claimed the room wasn't ready and made us wait another hour. It was the worst experience we had in all of Langkawi. However, a manager later came to help resolve the issue and even provided complimentary breakfast, and the other staff members were all quite good. Considering the hotel's price, everything else was excellent. There's a night market right outside, a park nearby, and it's very convenient to cross the road for food."

"The resort view is very beautiful, lots of nature around. Even though a shelly beach, the private beach is a big plus. Been visiting for 11 nights, if you need something (amenities, meal wise), just ask, the professional staff will deliver. Tide pool unfortunately was out of service, but renovations started before we left. Big swimming pool awesome, kids pool awesome! Just check sharp corners of broken tiles. Assume due to humid warm weather, mould on the outside of walls and doors is an issue, but still not nice to see that no effort was made to wipe it off throughout our 11 night stay. For all activities (mangrove forest tour, island hopping, cable car and the sky bridge etc), easy to organize via reception or private tour companies (do your homework, can get the experiences for cheaper). Breakfast very diverse and yummie! Kids playroom needs a thorough clean, lots of human hair lying around. Gym well set up with lots of equipment, reminder there is a jacuzzi and sauna free of charge to utilize. Overall thank you once again for all the professionalism from reception staff, room cleaning services, restaurant staff, buggy drivers, kids club staff and the regular checkins by staff like Justin for making our home away from home stay very enjoyable! Hope to return soon in the future!"
