ZZhouxiangWe had a pleasant stay at this hotel. During our stay, breakfast is provided, along with afternoon tea and dessert at night. There is also one session of photography session free of charge for each day of stay. We chose the photographer Liu Liu and her photos are excellent. Overall it was a great stay to unwind and relax at the seaside. The staff are very helpful and helped us to dry our clothes.

##friedThe mattress was so hard like wood. Was that a wooden board with beddings laid on top or what?!. I think that's the only downside i can pinpoint exactly. Areas I thought it could improve in: -Bidet would've been nice. Everytime I sat down, I felt chills down my spine(:(. -The location. I liked the building B better, do they access it only to Chinese citizens or what? -The pool and the hot spring was out of order. It was expected as it's not the season to use them. But-! It was quite hot that day (29ºC to 14ºC) so I asked if they could do us a favor and fill one of the tubs but they said no. :( After all that walking and beach stuff, I needed that relaxing hot spring). Regardless, there are things that I did enjoy. Specifically,: -The tea set was exquisite. Had that traditional chinese craftsmanship and even the tea packaging felt special(for a freebie) -Quality of the one-use amenities. The items provided felt like items you get for everyday use rather than hotel provided one-time use bathroom supplies. -The shower water was HOT. That hot water rundown was exactly what a girly needs. -The view. The garden downstairs was a sight to see. Especially at night. The wooden railings and the stairs light up beautifully when the sun goes down. -Service. They were really kind. From the moment we went in till the moment we went back- they were all smiled and tried their best to serve their customers. -Sitting area in every corner. You'll know when you get there. You can sit in your room or outside. There were at least 10 different seating areas with different amount of chairs and table. Plus, the chairs were comfortable.(some were not tho) Overall, this place is 8 to 8.5/10 Extra tips I wanted to add: -DO NOT FORGET TO BUY PLENTY OF ANTI MOSQUITO OIL, SPRAY, BRACELET, WTVR -DO.NOT.DO.LAUNDRY. Unless it's early in the morning till sun goes down or during hot summers. -Go to building B for restaurant, cafe or breakfast.

GGuest UserI saw this White House B&B online and it looked beautiful. Although it was similarly priced to the White House Hotel, the idea of stepping right out onto the beach was more appealing to me, so I chose the B&B. The first two days we were here, the weather was just awful. Beach trips are really dependent on good weather, so I didn't get the shots I wanted. As a result, I spent those two days visiting other attractions. On the last day, the sun finally came out, and I finally saw the beautiful beach and sea, washing away the gloom of the previous two days. My child was finally able to happily play in the water and dig in the sand, even getting quite a tan. However, Nanao First Beach was smaller than I imagined; I had pictured a very, very long coastline. One morning, just as dawn was breaking, I was woken up by a child from the next room shouting outside. It was a bit annoying to be disturbed before I was fully rested, but it's understandable in courtyard-style accommodations where rooms are connected. Another night, I heard thumping noises outside and thought it was a thief. I went out with a hanger to investigate and found other guests had taken a chair from the courtyard to chat together. Perhaps it's because it was my first time staying in this type of place, but I did feel a bit unsafe initially. Thankfully, I got used to it after two days. As for dining, there are several restaurants nearby, and you can also order delivery directly to your room. The White House itself has a restaurant; unfortunately, I went too late that day and missed out on the pizza. While the service was a bit slow, the food was indeed very good. During my stay, despite a few minor issues with cleanliness, the housekeeper was very proactive in resolving problems. The front desk staff even generously provided sand toys. Whether it was the manager or the owner, one lady was incredibly warm and helpful – I think she had the best service attitude, and I'd like to give her a big thumbs up! For the stunning views on a sunny day and the owner's excellent service, I would definitely come back again.

ZzhuzhuloloAfter a long time researching, Akanara truly didn't disappoint me. Service: I traveled during the off-season, and they kindly upgraded my room for free. There's a shuttle service available (though it's not a long walk to my room anyway), and the staff were incredibly responsive to all my requests. They delivered fresh fruit daily, and guests have free access to a fantastic kids' club and library. Facilities: Both the soft and hard facilities were excellent. The bedding was clean and comfortable (I'm a bit particular about sleep and pillows). The best part was the motion-sensor light under the bed, which was perfect for getting up at night. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the shower had strong, comfortable water pressure. The toilet seat even had a heating function! The screen casting was easy and clear. They provided an eye mask and earplugs. There's a mini-fridge with 4 bottles of water daily, plus 2 drinks on the first day. Getting a taxi was convenient! Environment: Right downstairs is the hotel's private beach. On a sunny day, the water is crystal clear, and there are swings – perfect for kids to play on. The only minor drawback is that the sand is a bit coarse, but it's incredibly convenient nonetheless. The hotel reception area is also an excellent spot to watch the sunset. The reception is in building 44, and no matter which building your room is in, it's not a far walk. Overall, it's a fantastic hotel! I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit!

LLovelyCnThe apartment is located in a quiet and developing district, which gives a sense of calm away from the city rush. Within walking distance, you’ll find a small convenience store, some coffee shops, and a couple of cafeterias. To reach most other destinations, you’ll need to take the metro or enjoy a 20-minute walk—manageable and safe for most travelers. It’s worth noting that the apartment differs somewhat from the photos in the listing. It is situated on a residential floor with long-term tenants, families, and pets, which adds a lively atmosphere but may not suit those seeking complete seclusion. The kitchen ventilation system appears to work in reverse, occasionally bringing strong cooking smells—particularly garlic—into the room. If you are sensitive to odors, you might want to request a different unit if available. Depending on the day, you may also hear low-flying airplanes passing overhead—particularly loud on several nights per week. It’s important to be aware that the noise level can be high enough to affect sleep, even with noise-canceling headphones. The apartment would benefit from some urgent maintenance: there are signs of wear such as cigarette marks on walls and floors, broken tiles, and visible damage in parts of the unit. A thorough deep-cleaning would also help enhance the overall comfort of the space. That said, the on-site staff are kind, attentive, and do their best to assist promptly. While they may be limited in what they can resolve immediately, their responsiveness is appreciated. Some larger decisions appear to be outside their control, possibly depending on the property owner’s involvement. Utility bills (electricity and water) are reasonably priced, and will likely increase your overall budget by about 10–15%. All in all, I would still recommend this apartment for travelers looking to experience a calm and modern neighborhood, especially if they value space and independence over hotel-style amenities. With a few improvements, it has the potential to become a very pleasant stay.

RRafi Ahammed ChowdhuryI stayed at Dongyuan Hotel with friends recently and here's how it went: ⭐ Highlights Amazing location — the hotel is very close to the Hongling South metro station. Transfers and exploring Shenzhen were super easy. Convenient neighborhood — lots of restaurants and fruit shops nearby, which made meals, snacks or quick shopping very easy after a day out. Good service & value — the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel provided decent value for the price, especially given how central the location is. 🛏️ What it was like The room and facilities were as expected: cleanliness was good (I rated it 4/5), and the facilities felt satisfactory (4/5). The overall atmosphere worked well for a short city-stay — simple, no-frills, and practical. Service got 5/5 — check-in/out went smoothly, and the staff were responsive. ✅ Who it’s good for If you’re travelling solo or with friends, mainly need a clean, well-located base for exploring Shenzhen, and don’t expect luxury amenities — Dongyuan Hotel is a solid, budget-friendly choice. It’s especially convenient for business travelers or when you want quick access to public transit and city-center convenience. ⚠️ What to keep in mind Don’t expect fancy facilities — this is definitely a basic hotel. If you’re after luxury or extra amenities (spa, gym, fancy breakfast, etc.), this might feel limited. It’s more “efficient city stay” than “relaxing resort.” Overall verdict: For a short stay in Shenzhen — whether with friends or solo — Dongyuan hits the mark: great location, reasonable comfort, and good value for money. I’d stay here again if I need simple, easy-access lodging.
