Grand Hyatt Beijing at Oriental Plaza
"The service at Grand Hyatt Beijing truly warmed my heart! The handsome Cartier at the front desk not only proactively added me on WeChat but also provided incredibly thoughtful follow-up care for our stay—fresh fruit was already waiting for us on the table when we arrived in our room. Checking out was a breeze; I just had to confirm my details at the front desk, and it was done in minutes, no waiting at all. They even asked about my experience during checkout. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Beijing!"

UrCove by HYATT Beijing Forbidden City
"Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too."
Prime Hotel Wangfujing (The Forbidden City)
"The hotel was very grand and checking in was fast, the room is spacious and the bed was comfortable except I find the sliding door for the wash area is quite difficult to slid and got stuck. I would like to comment the front desk staff Mr Gary was very helpful and attentive to us during our stay and also the conceirge staffs was very helpful and informative.Housekeeping was also very attentive. Overall a very pleasant stay and thanks to all the staff ."

RIGHT HOTEL Jinsong Subway Station Panjiayuan Antique City
"Great Location & High Cost-Performance! I had a wonderful 2-night stay here. The hotel is located in a very convenient area, just a short walk to the subway station, making it super easy to explore Beijing. The Japanese-Style Tatami room was clean, cozy, and well-designed. The staff were helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. It offers great value for money. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a convenient and budget-friendly place to stay!"

Yitel Hotel
"This hotel had a robot cook noodles at breakfast and another deliver food to my room – super cool. Great location: tons of food options, a mall, Lawson, and a park 8 minutes away. One warning – a staff member put our clothes in the dryer even though we had delicate items that couldn't be dried. Luckily we caught it and pulled them out, but keep an eye on your laundry."
Manxin Hotel Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing
"Best place for solo’s. More convenient for subway users. Close to all attractions. Friendly staff and most importantly their night staff is awesome."
Capital Hotel(the Forbidden City,Tiananmen)
"Facilities: It's an old hotel, definitely a bit dated, but very grand. Cleanliness: The cleaning was meticulous, but the towels were also quite old, and the dried bedding had a faint smell of wool. Environment: The public areas are spacious and great for taking photos. Service: The staff were quite enthusiastic, maintaining the standard of a well-established five-star hotel. Location: The location is excellent; you can walk to Tiananmen Square. It's also very convenient to take Line 8 to the Bird's Nest for a Mayday concert. You don't need to worry about safety in the surrounding area, even if you return late. Different rooms offer views of either the Forbidden City or the Temple of Heaven."
Orientino Executive Apartments Beijing
"The apartment is decent, but I haven't received my invoice yet. I hope this can be resolved quickly."

Grand Hotel Beijing(the Forbidden City,Tiananmen)
"The Grand Hotel Beijing has a very upscale and elegant interior, and the food at the Zijin Restaurant is delicious. However, the breakfast is a bit overpriced and not worth it. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely consider returning if I have the chance."

TRUE GO Hotel (Beijing Workers' Stadium Sanlitun Taikoo Li)
"I wanted to explore Beijing with a good friend, so we decided to stay at Atour. It's super convenient – the subway takes you directly near the hotel, and it's just a 7-8 minute walk from there. The front desk staff were quick, professional, and even gave us thoughtful recommendations for popular spots and trendy stores near Sanlitun, which saved us a lot of planning! The lobby is clean and bright, with unlimited complimentary fruit and snacks. The laundry room and gym are right next to each other and both open 24/7. Our room was spotless; even the floor drain was free of hair and strange odors. The entire room is controlled by an 'Xiaodu' smart assistant, so you can ask about the weather, play music, or open/close the curtains. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance."
CITY JOY HOTEL
"The front desk service is fantastic. We requested space for birthday celebration in the canteen as the room space is not enough for our group, and they kindly let us. Happy staying here"

Final Beijing Hotels Booking Tips
- Book Beijing Hotels Like a Local – secure your room 4–6 months ahead for the busiest travel windows: National Day Golden Week (Oct 1–7) and Chinese New Year (Jan/Feb) sell out first. For the Olympic Winter Games anniversary (February) or major political events, plan 8+ months early. Then, check the hotel’s own website for exclusive offers or upgrades.
- Navigate Beijing’s Quirks Smartly. Note that the subway closes around 11:30 PM; if enjoying Sanlitun’s nightlife, budget CNY 50+ (AU$11+) for a DiDi ride back. Book Early, Especially for Peak/Events. Hotels fill fast during holidays, summer break (Jul–Aug), and major conventions (CIFTIS, Auto China).
- Prioritize Transit-Friendly, Value-Focused Neighborhoods. Skip overpriced Wangfujing and chaotic Guomao. Stay near Dongzhimen (subway Lines 2, 13, and Airport Express) or Chaoyangmen (Line 6 and easy access to embassy area). First-timers: Choose Wangfujing (Forbidden City access, shopping), Sanlitun (trendy, international, nightlife), or Qianmen (traditional, hutongs, budget-friendly). Avoid hotels outside the 5th Ring Road unless attending specific events.
