I suppose one cannot go wrong with the Marriot brand..
Excellent service and amenities.
Excellent large room. Air-conditioning and hot water worked perfectly.
Good selection of tea/coffee
Wide selection at breakfast. Good coffee (Justin coffee machine - not heard of before but good selection)
Not so good, can improve :-
Lobby was always crowded - it could be because of some ongoing corporate event.. But it lessened the experience, due to the crowds and no availability of empty seating at lobby level.
The car entrance to the hotel is good.. But the exit is very narrow and crowded due to parked delivery trucks, garbage bins etc. My DiDi had to navigate quite a bit to get out of the hotel and get on our way..
Sure! Here’s a polished review you can use:
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! One of the highlights was definitely the shower, the water pressure was incredible, like showering under a waterfall. It was such a refreshing way to start the day. The food was also great; I especially loved the smoked salmon at breakfast, fresh and full of flavor. The service stood out as well. The gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming, took care of my luggage, and even accompanied me all the way to my room. That level of attention really made a difference. I’d definitely stay here again!
I chose the Marriott Marquis City Centre for a one-night stay because I was attending a show nearby. The front desk staff was incredibly thoughtful during check-in. They noticed my request on Ctrip for a quiet, high-floor room and immediately asked if I'd mind that my booked Executive Twin room was facing the construction site and might be noisy. They offered to switch me to an Executive King room on the quieter side, which I accepted. They then kindly informed me that the King room was on the 25th floor and required taking one elevator to the 23rd floor, then another to the 25th, asking if I was okay with this slight inconvenience – which I absolutely was. They thoughtfully provided toiletries and escorted us to the elevator, explaining the complimentary executive lounge benefits. Although we didn't have time to enjoy them, I was deeply touched by the front desk staff's meticulous questions and explanations (thumbs up!). The room they gave us was excellent, facing Daning Park (we even enjoyed a fantastic fountain show from Daning Park from our room at night) and very quiet. The breakfast in the morning was also very rich and delicious. Overall, it was a superb stay.

Check in was easy and quick. The room was great for a couple. More than enough space, clean and modern. The breakfast is great and has good options for Western and Chinese food tastes. Location is fantastic if you intend to visit Disneyland. 3 shuttle buses from the hotel to Disneyland each morning for free. Strongly recommend and would stay again.
The room was very quiet, ensuring a great night's rest. My child absolutely loved the My Little Pony theme. However, certain details, which kids might overlook, bothered me – for instance, the floor tiles had many yellowed sections, perhaps from rust or other issues. The room facilities, overall, didn't quite live up to what you'd expect from a five-star hotel.
Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was positive. The service was excellent; upon entering the room, we were delighted to find a welcome mini-cake thoughtfully placed on the table. The breakfast spread was quite generous, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western dishes.
