"Stayed 3 nights at Hotel Midtown Richardson — overall a pleasant and convenient stay. The location is excellent — right next to MRT Ximen Station (Exit 4) and just a short walk to Ximending shopping area. It’s also very convenient for day tours since the meeting point was just nearby. The room is clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom setup. However, the room itself is quite compact, with limited space for luggage. Still, it’s great value for money if you prioritize location and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend it for travelers who want easy access to transport, food, and shopping in Taipei"

"The hotel is located at an extremely prime location, where majority of attractions, necessary train stations, and tour group meetup points are just a walking distance away (5-20min walk to all). Finding the hotel was a bit tough as there was no bigger signage at the lobby area indicating the hotel's existence (7th Floor of the building). 4 elevators service the floor, which is quite ok but tends to be full and an issue near checkout time (11am). Staff are kind and explain everything. There is a pantry with free water, but no snacks unlike other hotels that give snacks. During our stay, there was construction going on which made the hotel lobby quite busy and noisy during daytime. The other guests are also quite noisy even in the middle of the night. They clean the room every 3 days but strictly only upon request, but they change the towels daily. They allow luggage storage after checkout. Overall I'd stay here again primarily because of the location's convenience and kind staff. There are clothing and trinket shops outside the building; it is near a famous beef noodle house."

"The hotel is conveniently located next to Wanhua Train Station and just a short walk from Longshan Temple Metro Station. There are plenty of eateries in the surrounding neighborhood, making it easy to find meals nearby. Like many hotels in Taiwan, early check-in is not allowed, and all guests can only check in after 3 p.m. Check-in is done through a self-service machine, which feels somewhat impersonal for a hotel at this price point. The room is clean and modern, with a comfortable bed. However, it doesn’t provide complimentary bottled water; you’ll need to use the water dispenser next to the elevator.The gym is very small, equipped with just treadmills, and there’s also a small pool with a lifeguard on duty. Remember to bring a swimming cap if you plan to use the pool. There's also a play area for children which I didn't see anyone ever use."

The location is absolutely fantastic and strategic as it is located just across major transportation nodes for HSR, Local Train and Metro. The rooms may look a bit dated but if aesthetic isnt a major concern, all else considered, it was a convenient and pleasant stay."

"The hotel is great, very clean, the staff are very nice. I stayed at the suite which was a very big room and had a great view. The lounge was ok but I prefer less unhealthy snacks and more fruits/ healthy stuff in it. The pool was not heated and it was a bit cold. Also the last night my room had noises all night long. Like metal to metal noises which cause me not to sleep all night long. The staff were nice but didn’t really compensate for this horrible night I had no sleep at all besides promising to a late check out or upgrade next time I book. Which is more of a promotion than a real compensation. Too bad that left a bit a bitter taste to a nice stay so far. I’m in Taipei once or twice a year and I wish they were more attentive to my complaint and lack of sleep."

"It took me a while to leave a review but this is, by far, one of my favourite hotels! Facilities: 10/10 - The gym is an external one that's connected to the building, and it's a full, proper gym. The room is amazing with abilities to surf YouTube as well. Location: 10/10 - It's right across the Taipei Arena, and near several bus stations and MRT so it's easy to get around. If you're looking to get the famous ChiaTe or LeeChi pineapple cakes, it's literally a few bus stops away. I'm so sorry this is overdue, but thank you for also preparing a cake and card for my birthday! I was out the entire day and it seems like they tried to send it up to my room a few times, so they left a card to get me to call them. Before I knew it, when I came back st almost 11pm, a staff came up to my door with the handwritten card and cake! Thank you!!"

"I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of delicious food, and the restaurant’s service was top-notch. The location is also perfect — close to major attractions, restaurants, and transportation. I especially appreciated the small touches, like the welcome drink and daily housekeeping. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations and provided a relaxing, enjoyable experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!"

"Location was great. Lots of food options before 8pm. Just walk a block or two and you will have lots to pick from. Near metro, trains and airport MRT. Use the underground malls to get to the airport instead of walking above ground. Z8 or z6 exit but no escalator. We seem to have gotten a non-renovated room. Wallpaper and ceiling peeling. Carpet stained and covered by stained kitchen mat. If we complained, we could have gotten moved to a hardwood floor room and they seemed to be renovated. Unfortunately the bathroom was a deal breaker. Shower head was near the chin for this 5'7”person. Pressure was good, but the drain couldn't handle it causing the shower to puddle up. Deal breaker was the toilet and not being able to flush toilet paper. No thanks to throwing it in the bin. Unfortunately we booked 4nights quickly and lost the whole amount due to no early checkout or refund policy. Tldr: good budget hotel, good location, bathroom and room need updating Toilet paper in bin."

GGuest UserIt is near to MRT. Overall the hotel hardware is good, but In room onsen is a bit small. Counter staff has no smile and is not very helpful, other staff is friendly but in general very hard sell. Breakfast is just so so. I saw comments saying dinner is a must try item. Dinner tastes ok but is not value for money.

Staff are polite and pleasant, the dried tomatoes at L5 is good. 😊 only hair dryer, handwash, body wash and 2in1 shampoo/conditioner provided in room so be sure so bring your other toiletries if you need! Pros 😊 - fuss free check in (room was ready ahead of check in time so recep let us in) - water dispenser avail (don’t have to buy your water) and 2 bottles in room daily - small area at L5 for you to relax at with some snacks and drinks (great if you’re having a late flight and need somewhere to rest after checking out, or if you arrive early before check in) - easy walk to xmd - bus stop outside with buses that gets you to most places Cons 😞 - poor sound proofing (can hear kids running down the rooms, people chatting outside, opening/closing of doors) - room not super conducive for light sleepers. E.g there is gap between the pelmet and curtain so once the sun rises, the light will shine into the room, your room will not be in the complete black-out state. Can bring an eye mask to help with this! - very basic room amenities. - slightly steep price given how basic and no-frills this hotel is.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at City Suites Main Station Taipei and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is a bit of a walk from Taipei Main Station MRT (Exit Y21 to Y1), so we recommend taking Beimen MRT instead — it’s much nearer if you walk underground from Exit Y21 to Y28. Our first room had an aircon leaking issue, but the staff were very responsive. After we contacted them through Trip.com, they quickly arranged a room change with no fuss. The room itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. There are also 7-Eleven and FamilyMart convenience stores just around the corner, which made things even more convenient. A solid choice for a short stay in Taipei!

Close by airport rail at Taipei Main Station ( 5 mins walk) , several convenient store nearby theh hostel and you are Muslims travelling looking for halal food, fret not as there's two halal chinese restaurant right below the hostel. The equipment is old but clean. The shampoo and shower gel are in the same bottle. People who are not used to it are advised to bring their own There is no problem with the breakfast food, which is small but has everything you need (toast, steamed buns, soy milk, coffee, lettuce, hot soup) The only drawback is that it is too small. You have to queue up to wait for your meal, but there is no diversion arrangement for dining. The hall is also very small, so you have to squeeze in the aisle to wait.
