"We were a group of six and booked five rooms for three nights (some stayed for two). Truly, this place is so beautiful! From the moment we were picked up at the station, everything was seamless. The hotel staff were extremely kind, professional, and spoke good English. They always went above and beyond to meet any of our needs. The breakfast was super delicious, and we even met wonderful travelers from all over the world. The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants, massage clinics, and lovely locals — the whole area just has such a warm, welcoming vibe. Next time, we’ll definitely book again and stay even longer! 😊"

"This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything upon pickup at the train station, to a beautiful breakfast buffet, to a serene and picturesque property. The staff were all amazing and were always quick to respond and help with anything we needed. I’m usually one to skip hotel breakfasts but this one was really good with a good variety of items. They helped us book all of our tickets and drove us to the nearby sites. They recommended a DiDi for the further away Tianmen mountain and Glass bridge which was easy for us. Hotel was perfectly located in the midst of everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend."

"Honestly it is a hidden gem!!!! I absolutely loved it! The attention and service were amazing. Everyone always caring and smiling…. Didn’t want to leave. They make sure to accommodate your needs. "We loved our stay at the hotel. The staff did so much for us and a good stay in the national park that the review will be longer than usual. The rooms are super luxurious. The view from the hotel into the national park is amazing when waking up or for sunrise after spending the day in the park. All windows have mosquito nets, so during the night you can leave the windows open and enjoy the sounds of nature. We had breakfast and also stayed for dinner. Both were tasty and freshly cooked. We have seen that the hotel also has a huge garden for growing vegetables. Regarding the location to the park and after spending some days in the park, the south-east gate is the best for visiting the park as it is not very crowded and it is located in the center of the park with connections to all areas and very fast access to the bailong elevator. The staff helped us by choosing the right tickets and explained everything in detail and gave individual recommendations depending on our wished hike length. The communication was super easy, because they have a really good voice translation device, so that you can have a normal conversation with everyone and not only in English-Chinese. Every language works. I really liked it, because you can have normal conversations. So when visiting Zhangjiajie I highly recommend choosing the south east gate and this hotel."

"We enjoyed our stay at Hetianwan Inn a lot. The staff was super nice and helpful. We got free water everyday when we left or came back to the hotel. The staff was able to answer all our questions regarding how to get to the Nationalpark, the hikes etc. We asked for restaurant recommendations and were even guided to the restaurant by them."

"Absolutely amazing! The location is perfect for the park (just make sure when you book your tickets to book it for the middle gate), it was a five minute walk. We travelled with two kids (a two-year-old and a four-year-old) and an 80-year-old. The staff at the hotel is extremely helpful, answering all of my numerous questions, answering the phone when I cannot understand what a taxi driver is saying (they helped me to translate everything) They are kind enough to book tickets wherever you want to go, the breakfast is delicious with an amazing view. My kids could not get enough of the swimming pool, and would definitely just go back to swim. The rooms were spacious and clean, and it was very quiet and Wonderful. 10 out of 10 We would definitely go back to this hotel in the blink of an eye."

"The location of this inn is absolutely unbeatable! It’s just steps away from Xibu Street, which makes it super convenient to go out for food and drinks in the evening. The Forest Park’s main gate is only a few minutes’ drive away, which saved us a lot of travel time—perfect for exploring Zhangjiajie with ease. What really stood out was the service here. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. They not only gave us detailed suggestions for sightseeing routes but also helped us book discounted attraction tickets. Whenever we had questions while in the park, we could always reach out to Xiao Du! That kind of thoughtful, concierge-like service made our whole trip relaxing and stress-free—no need to worry about planning or potential pitfalls. Even though the inn is located in a busy area, it’s quiet and comfortable inside, with uniquely decorated exotic vibes. They also offer complimentary parking and laundry/dryer services, which is super convenient for those driving or needing fresh clothes after long days of touring."

"The hotel is 3 to 5 minutes away from Tianmen Cable Way. Making it an excellent place to stay if you are heading to Mt. Tianmen. The room is comfortable and they offer a free ride service to the train station for you to depart to your next destination. Apart from that, there is few chinese restaurants and convenience stalls beside the hotel!"

"This is a great hotel/resort. We were welcomed by Rain, who spoke English, and showed us our very big room/apartment. The Inn is located in the middle of nature so of course there were some insects, but a surprisingly small amount inside the room. They provided a insect mosquito net upon request. Most of all, the location provided great views and a stunning sunset. All staff is very kind and caring. Especially Rain, who catered to our every need and drove us to the National Forest Park every day. And special thumbs up to the restaurant staff who made fresh food for breakfast and diner! 🙏🏽 It was rainy weather during our stay so one morning we joined the activity hosted at the reception. We handmade a cute souvenir and said hi to the lovely furry friends. TLDR: we had a great stay and would definitely recommend No. 5 Vally Inn!"

"A Must-Stay for Park Visitors! We had a fantastic stay thanks to the incredibly friendly and cooperative staff. This hotel is perfectly located right near the Zhangjiajie East Gate and only a 5 minute walk from the bus station. The service here is a game-changer. The English-speaking staff assisted us with ticket booking and even provided a discount! They are great at helping with navigation; their hand-drawn map covering all the key points on Zhangjiajie and Tianmen Mountain was essential. Plus, the breakfast noodles were delicious—the perfect fuel for a long day of hiking. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie—the convenient location and amazing service make exploring effortless."
