Nice boat tour with beautiful lights. A bit expensive for a 40min ride. There are explanation in Chinese of what you are seeing but if you don’t speak Chinese it can be a bit annoying having a strong background noise during the whole trip. If you take the tour I recommend sitting next to the window or in the front row.

You can come at any time. They check your voucher number at the entrance and let you in. We weren't allowed into the Exam Museum with our voucher number. Only with our ticket, that's all. You can ride. It's beautifully lit. But there aren't any special buildings or places.

The Nanjing Museum is a large and worthwhile place to visit and learn from, especially with our professional guide, Wenli. It wasn't just the children who learned; we adults learned a lot too! Teacher Wenli also provided many supplementary materials such as photos and videos, and there were even rewards for answering her questions correctly! Teacher Wenli thoughtfully prepared plastic bags to hold our wet umbrellas and considerately gave us a break between visits.

I really enjoyed visiting the Nanjing Museum. The museum is spacious, well organized, and has a great variety of exhibitions covering Chinese history, art, and culture. There is so much to see that you could easily spend several hours exploring without getting bored.The exhibits are beautifully displayed, and I especially appreciated how they combined historical artifacts with informative descriptions that made everything easy to understand. The museum itself is clean, modern, and well maintained.I would definitely recommend visiting if you're in Nanjing. Whether you're interested in history or just looking for something interesting to do, it's a worthwhile experience and one of the city's must-visit attractions.

When traveling, I love visiting local markets. I skip the trendy shops and just wander among the bustling stalls. I listen to the vendors' calls in their incomprehensible accents, see the freshly picked vegetables glistening with dew, the fruit in baskets covered in dirt, and the steaming aroma of various unnamed snacks. I buy a few to try, chat with the old ladies squatting to pick vegetables, and the air is filled with the warmth of everyday life. This vibrant, everyday life is more touching than any tourist attraction. Returning home with that familiar, lived-in feeling makes life taste even better.

Our family of three (with a child over 18) booked two of the cheapest 1.5m queen rooms. Even during a holiday, the price including breakfast was cheaper than nearby chain hotels. The rooms were also a bit larger, and being a five-star hotel, the soundproofing and breakfast were definitely better. Unexpectedly, because there weren't two adjoining rooms, the young man at the front desk directly upgraded us to one deluxe queen room and one executive suite! The air conditioning in both rooms worked exceptionally well, and they were very clean. The staff were also enthusiastic. Although the hotel is older, it's still well-maintained. Breakfast was varied and the dining environment was unique. A few small suggestions: The bathroom had no phone holder (or any shelf at all); there was only one power outlet on one side of the bed; and for a suite with so many rooms, there was no large sofa or chaise lounge, only single armchairs, which wasn't ideal for lounging 😂. Also, a weighing scale was missing.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's a three-minute walk right after exiting the subway station. I chose this hotel because I wanted to visit the Deji Art Museum, which is also very close, less than a 15-minute walk away. Plus, it's located within the Golden Eagle shopping mall, making dining and shopping very convenient. The room facilities are quite new, and the bedding is comfortable. The front desk staff who checked us in were very friendly. However, I felt it might have been due to the summer holiday and a weekend, making them quite busy. It seemed like there were some issues with their operational flow. After dropping off our luggage in the room, we went out. Since I had water in my bag, I didn't notice that there was no complimentary water in the room. We returned to the hotel at 9:40 PM and discovered the room had no water. We called the front desk, and it wasn't delivered until just after 10 PM. I originally planned to give my child a bath in the tub. While scrubbing the bathtub, I found a few body hairs from a previous guest. I endured the disgust to finish scrubbing, only to find that the water wouldn't drain. After removing the stopper, it took almost half an hour for even the small amount of water from scrubbing to drain. I mentioned it to the floor staff, who said she was busy and could have a maintenance person look at it. Considering it was already past 10 PM, I decided to just let it go and not give my child a bath. The breakfast selection was a bit limited, which was a little surprising.

The room was great, and the upgrade to one with a shower was very convenient. The desk made it easy to work. The whole place has been redecorated, and it felt much better than my previous stays here. There were many thoughtful touches: a direct drinking water tap, and an elevator guide attached to the door. The mattress was a bit soft. The hardware was the most satisfying among the three hotels I stayed at in Nanjing. What I was dissatisfied with was the service (software): 1. Upon check-in, I was only given one key card (many hotels proactively provide an extra card for power, you know?). In this humid weather, it was very inconvenient to go in and out without air conditioning. In the evening, I wanted to go to the front desk to ask for an extra power card. The concierge directed me to the front desk, where one person was slowly processing a male guest's check-in, and another was on a long phone call. I stood there for a full five to ten minutes, and not once did I get an apologetic smile or a glance acknowledging my wait. I was shocked; is this really five-star hotel service? To continuously talk on the phone and leave a customer waiting without even looking at them? I finally couldn't take it anymore and asked for a power card, and it was still handed to me with a cold, swift gesture. I feel like even at a HUAZHU hotel, I wouldn't receive such treatment. 2. The next morning, when I was extending my stay, the front desk staff just brusquely handed my card back to me. I had to double-check my booking and ask her to confirm if it included breakfast. She then reluctantly replied that it did, and even emphasized that it was for tomorrow's breakfast? A 68-yuan breakfast isn't that rare, and for staff to highlight the dining time and location when checking in a guest with breakfast included is basic service, right? The service at Gulinandun was really disappointing. 3. Later, when I asked for two more bottles of water, the front desk just pointed their hand, telling me to go pick them up myself at the concierge desk??? The previous evening, a man claimed he needed to drink 4 liters of water, and the front desk greeted him with a smiling face. What exactly is going on here?? The service truly left me dumbfounded!

Our family stayed at this Sofitel when visiting Nanjing, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and they thoughtfully arranged for us to be on the same floor, considering we were a family traveling together, which made it easy to look after each other. This was a really nice touch. The room was clean and tidy, with no strange odors, and the space was just right. The beds were neither too soft nor too hard, ensuring everyone in the family got a good rest. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the hot water pressure was stable, and the soundproofing was good, so we weren't really bothered by outside noise at night. There were plenty of takeout options nearby, with local snacks and home-style dishes all available for delivery, making dining very convenient. The public areas were well-maintained, and security was excellent. The service attitude was generally good; the concierge was patient when helping with luggage and advising on travel routes, and didn't just brush us off.

Service: 1. The service was incredibly warm and thoughtful. A day before arrival, a staff member contacted us to ask about our room preferences and diligently noted them down. She also kindly told us the most convenient subway exit, saving us even more time than what map apps suggested. 2. We arrived at noon, and the front desk staff warmly welcomed us. They informed us of the earliest check-in time. Right after we finished lunch nearby, we received a call saying our room was ready, much earlier than expected. This shows the hotel's excellent reception and operational capabilities. 3. The check-in process at this hotel was truly one of the most efficient we've ever experienced; it took less than 2 minutes to complete all procedures. This deserves a big thumbs up! 4. During our stay, they replenished our drinking water multiple times, which was very welcome in the hot summer. We also requested an extra blanket, and it was delivered very quickly. 5. After checking out, a dedicated staff member followed up to inquire about our stay experience. 6. Due to our own mistake, we left some clothes in the room. A hotel staff member called us several times to discuss how we wanted to handle it and promptly sent them via courier. We received them the day after we got home. Their efficiency was truly impressive, even more so than us northerners – we were very touched. Location: 1. The hotel's location is absolutely superb. It's right in the city center, Xinjiekou, and very close to the subway station. It's about a 5-minute walk to lines 1 and 2, and major attractions are just a few stops away, making it incredibly convenient. 2. Within 500 meters of the hotel, there are countless dining options, including local specialties like duck blood vermicelli soup, pot stickers, and soup dumplings, as well as cuisines from Jiangxi, Hunan, and Sichuan. There are also various beverage and coffee brands like BaWangChaji, Luckin Coffee, Mixue Ice Cream & Tea, and Shi San Cha, so you'll never have to worry about what to eat. Facilities: 1. Since the hotel is in the city center, we were initially concerned about noise at night, but it was surprisingly quiet. We couldn't hear any traffic downstairs, nor any sounds from adjacent rooms or the hallway. This means the soundproofing in the hotel rooms is exceptionally good – a definite big praise! 2. The bedding in the room was also very comfortable; we slept soundly all night without any discomfort. There was no issue with not being able to sleep due to a different bed or pillow. 3. The hotel has 4 elevators, and during our stay, we never experienced overcrowding or long waiting times, which is also very commendable. The Novotel in Xinjiekou truly delivers 'excellent location, superior service, and reasonable prices.' It's a reliable and worry-free choice whether you're visiting Nanjing for tourism or business.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the environment is very pleasant. It's just a short walk to Xuanwu Lake and right by a subway station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The hotel is also very clean, and the rooftop terrace offers a beautiful view of Xuanwu Lake at night. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, a really great stay.

Before we even arrived, the hotel reception informed us that our booked apartment had windows facing the corridor and offered a complimentary upgrade to a two-story, 100+ square meter apartment if we minded – I immediately accepted the upgrade. The apartment was spacious and spotless, and we were all very satisfied and grateful for the hotel's upgrade. The location is superb, with a wide variety of dining options and shopping malls everywhere. The front desk staff, security, and cleaning aunties were all very warm and friendly. It offers great value for money, and we will definitely stay here again next time we visit Nanjing.

The hotel is great for the price. Good location across from a park with a lake. Beds were comfortable, and clean. The room was cleaned daily. Bottled water provided. The towels were soft and absorbent. The buffet breakfast, at 30 RMB was good. Coffee! A good selection of choices. You can fry your own eggs. Steamed buns and fried noodles. A good choice. Friendly staff. A convenience store right off the lobby. One peculiarity: The toilet was immediately behind the door, which always hit it when entering. The shower is small, and the water escapes to soak the bathroom floor... But towels provided. Toiletries provided are good.

Staying at Gucheng Bay in Gaochun was truly delightful, and I must commend our butler, Xiao Xia. Her meticulous service throughout our stay made us feel incredibly welcome. The hotel boasts a serene Jiangnan garden setting, with beautiful scenery at every turn. Our room was spacious and tidy, equipped with a wet/dry separated bathroom and a scenic balcony – the hardware definitely met five-star standards. However, the real bonus was the butler service. Upon our arrival, Xiao Xia was already waiting for us. She efficiently handled our check-in and thoughtfully provided information on scenic spots, fountain show times, and family-friendly activities. Traveling with a child, she proactively anticipated and addressed many small needs. When we accidentally left something behind during an outing, we contacted Xiao Xia, and she promptly delivered it to the scenic area. In the evening, when we needed hot water and mosquito repellent, she had them delivered to our room within minutes. Her work was attentive and thorough, and her demeanor was gentle and polite. She patiently answered all our questions and even proactively reminded us about parking and luggage storage upon check-out. The hotel's local lake fresh cuisine was authentic, and the accompanying pool and reading room were comfortable and relaxing. Butler Xiao Xia was attentive and highly responsible, always prioritizing guest needs. She truly exceeded my expectations for standard hotel service. We felt completely at ease and comfortable during our stay, making this trip perfect with no regrets. This will be our first choice for our next vacation, and we'll definitely look for Butler Xiao Xia again.
