The location is fantastic! It's just one subway stop from the train station, and Tianyi Pavilion and Moon Lake are only a 6-minute bike ride away. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

The room was clean and comfortable, and they even offered complimentary mung bean soup every day. I appreciated the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom and the four small bottles of mineral water, which were convenient to carry around.

The service was excellent. I requested a higher floor and they were able to accommodate me by changing my room type.

My favorite part was the great swimming pool and gym facilities. Perfect for working off those extra calories after a good meal!

I really loved the overall style of the room, especially the large projector screen and the bathtub – they made for a fantastic experience. However, it was a holiday, so there were a lot of kids, and the hotel's soundproofing wasn't great. Even though we switched rooms mid-stay due to a small issue, the soundproofing in the new room wasn't much better. But when I called the front desk at night, they were very proactive in helping resolve the problem, and their service attitude was excellent. I'd definitely consider staying again during the off-season to fully enjoy it, as the scenery outside the hotel is quite beautiful.

True to its reputation as a five-star landmark in Ningbo, the Nanyuan Universal Hotel boasts excellent facilities. The rooms are spacious and quiet, with outstanding soundproofing. Smart curtains and a well-equipped work desk cater perfectly to business travelers. They even thoughtfully recommend local eateries and travel routes. The service is impeccable, striking the perfect balance and truly delivering that high-end 'home away from home' feeling. My stay was absolutely flawless!

We struck gold with this newly opened hotel for our vacation! A special thank you to Manager Li and First Mate Xiao Han, as well as the wonderful ladies who were all beautiful and kind. They were enthusiastic, thoughtful, and proactive throughout our stay, always coordinating and handling any requests immediately. It happened to be our child's birthday during our stay, and the hotel even thoughtfully provided a fresh and delicious small cake.

The room was equipped with an air purifier and was very spacious and clean, with stunning lake views right outside the window. The hotel has an adult swimming pool and a children's pool with massage functions, making it perfect for kids. The hotel breakfast varied slightly each day, and the in-house drinks were refreshing and delicious. If you're tired from exploring, I highly recommend the Thai restaurant; it offers great value for money, and the staff's service attitude is excellent.

The hotel is conveniently located, with ancient towns and temples within a ten to twenty-minute drive. Across the street from the hotel, there are fruit shops, BBQ restaurants, and hot pot places, all at affordable prices, offering fantastic value. It's a one-stop-shop for dining, entertainment, and fun. This entire stay was perfect, making us feel completely at home!

The room was spacious and the mattress very comfortable. Excellent value for money. The breakfast was quite extensive, even offering freshly squeezed juice. My only minor complaint is that breakfast ended too early at 9:30 AM; 10:00 AM would be much better, as many hotels offer a later finish.

. . . I talked to two different people on the phone and in person twice. I didn’t drink the paid tea. However, when I checked out, they chased me and charged me 😞. The concierge was useless. The man at the front desk who checked in on the first day was arrogant. The decoration style of the room is very shocking. It is glossy lacquered tiger-spot huanghuali wood-veneer style furniture, not matte. It is too rich and tasteless. The carpets and cabinets are old, and the coffee table and the end of the bed have sharp corners that can easily hurt people. The room is far from the elevator. At first, I asked that the swimming pool would be closed for two days. On the 15th, I asked and said that it opened yesterday. The management of the outsourced swimming pool was chaotic, their attitude was arrogant, and the environment was not good. There are many people in the swimming pool, it is small, noisy, old and dilapidated, the stones are cracked, and the experience is not good. I complained to Ctrip about the swimming pool and the environment, and wanted Ctrip to ask for two free breakfasts, but the hotel actually refused. I stayed there for four days and was so stingy.

But luckily I ordered it cheaply, you get what you pay for, cheap stuff doesn’t mean good stuff😄😃😂😁. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff was very responsible. The furniture is not practical, the small coffee table is rickety, the TV is too old and there are not enough clothes racks. The operation of water discharging from the bathtub is inconvenient, and there is only one buckwheat pillow. . . Fortunately, the service was okay and the issue was resolved. Anyway, don’t expect too much. Not as good as the Intercontinental Hotel, unprofessional and gross.

No bedside stool! Their official pictures are painted with shocking varnish, and they use a wide-angle lens. The modern room is big, but it's not that big, and it doesn't have that effect.

The rooms are spacious and hygienic, the service is warm and thoughtful, the park and swimming pool are a good place to walk the baby, and the gym facilities are also available. The gym and swimming pool are open to the outside world, and there are many people in some time periods.
There are many types of breakfast, boiled noodles and peppers, as well as special rice cakes and soup, delicious. There are ice cubes and good service.
Where improvements need to be made: there are several batches of people live in the children's playground every day (see the last two photos), the hotel needs to supervise, do not take pictures of guests, especially minors, if taken, may be suspected of infringement and be handled carefully.

This was my first time staying at Zhaobaoshan Hotel and I was very satisfied. I loved the lobby's decor style, which reflects the 'Zhuangyuan' (top scholar) culture. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even upgraded our room. Xiao Lin, Xiao Zheng, and Xiao Shi at the front desk provided excellent and thoughtful service. The room was also clean. I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel boasts an excellent location near Dongqian Lake, very close to Xiaoputuo on the lake and Hanling Old Street. The hotel facilities are also quite good; it's a very comfortable hotel. The lovely young lady at the front desk was exceptionally kind, patient, and attentive, speaking softly and calmly – a pleasant sight and sound. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, nutritious, and varied, offering both Chinese and Western options. I felt a pang of reluctance to leave. Highly recommended; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Ningbo.

Because I had wine at the hotel the next day, I chose this one blindly for the convenience of it. It was unexpectedly good.
The room is super big, 3-4 It is also suitable for individuals to go out. The bunk beds are simply dreaming of returning to the dormitory time, and I don’t want to leave at all. 🥹
The service was also great. When we checked in, the front desk saw that we were three people. We sent us an extra breakfast. We were so grateful. We also had white fungus soup for free in the evening.

Pros: The front desk staff was very welcoming. Seeing that we had a child with us, they even upgraded our room type. The room itself was very spacious and roomy.

Cons: The tap water had a musty smell, which is something I've never encountered in all the hotels I've stayed in. I reported it on the night of check-in and was told it would be reported to the duty manager who would come and deal with it, but then nothing happened. The next morning, I called the front desk to follow up and was told it would be escalated, and again, nothing happened.

Additionally, the restaurant didn't have spoons, which made it very inconvenient for our child to eat fried rice and wontons. I asked a server who said they had some by the chopsticks, but after searching, I couldn't find any. I asked another server who said they would bring some over, but again, nothing happened.

This lack of follow-up, feedback, and resolution in their service is truly frustrating.

The hotel is relatively new overall, the rooms are clean and tidy, the front desk service is attentive, the restaurant has rich food, the sleeping environment is quiet, the overall experience is good, it is worth staying, and the manager is a beautiful woman, I feel good after seeing it, I will book here next time!

I stayed at the Wencheng Hotel a few years ago. It was an old hotel, but I appreciated the service. This time, I was originally staying at the Sunshine Holiday Hotel when I returned to my hometown, but seeing the newly renovated Wencheng Hotel across the street, I decided to stay there for two days. The hotel has a grand decor, and the service is as good as ever (even more attentive than before). It has a dedicated parking lot, the rooms are quite large, clean and tidy, and the breakfast is plentiful. I've uploaded a video so those interested can see it for themselves. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.
