Stayed for a night for an exam. You have to change into slippers as soon as you enter. There are lots of food options nearby, and it's also very close to NTU and NTUST, as well as the MRT station. Although I stayed in a quad room, the bed was quite comfortable. It was an oversized single bed with good springiness, and the duvet and pillow were also quite clean.
As a new hotel brand within Glorystone Inc., Hanns Summer follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, Hanns House in Xinyi District, offering guests a chance to relax and enjoy summertime. Owing to the hotel’s proximity to the main dormitory of the Taiwan Railway Station in the past, the entire floor plan is based around vintage railroad components, evoking memories of the city and its visitors. With platform lights acting as room numbers, each floor corridor embodies a train cabin loaded with memories, showcasing famous trains like as the Chu-Kuang Express, Tze-Chiang Limited Express and Ordinary Train. With graphics inspired by train windows, seats and handrails, we bring the spirit of trains into the space, which is characterized by classic train cabin colors like blue, gray and dark green, accented with bright yellow.

Great location! It's close to the BTS Skytrain, not too far from the city center, and near a university, so it feels very safe. The price is also excellent. The bathroom is good, with a separate wet and dry area. We were a group of three and had a bunk bed. They also let us store our luggage after check-out, and they even have umbrellas you can borrow.

I specifically chose a hotel near an MRT station for the marathon. This hotel is near Jingmei MRT station, just a 3-minute walk away. There are signs on the first floor, and the hotel is on the third floor.
The counter on the third floor looked very elegant and upscale. Since I booked through Ctrip, I got the key and checked in immediately after confirming my ID. I stayed on the fourth floor, and the layout wasn't cold or impersonal when I stepped out of the elevator, but the air felt a bit stuffy.
You need a card to press the elevator buttons. The room door lock is a traditional key type, so be careful to double-lock it before going to sleep or leaving the room.
Regarding cleanliness, I found a leftover plastic straw sleeve; I hope they can improve on this aspect.
The room itself was standard, with everything you'd expect. The only issue was that the TV remote didn't work. I contacted the front desk to check, but it still didn't work. However, I could manually turn it on by pressing the power button on the back. I don't sleep with the TV on, so it didn't bother me. I suggest the hotel provide a spare power button.
There's a night market and convenience store within a 3-minute walk of the hotel, which is very convenient.
Overall, I'd give it a 90 out of 100. If I participate in another race next year, I'd consider staying here!

I think it's pretty good. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, and it's about a 15-minute walk to Taipei Main Station MRT. There are also many bus stops close by, making it very convenient to get to Taipei 101 and the National Palace Museum. The room was clean and quiet too.

The location is great – central yet quiet. It's about a 7-minute walk from Dongmen Station Exit 3. There's a Family Mart right outside the hotel, so you can grab food even late at night. For breakfast, there are several options nearby. On the first day, I just tried a simple vegetarian place, and it was decent.
Overall, the hotel is good, except for the cleanliness (mainly the bedding had stains, but after I reported it, they quickly changed it) 👍

Being located inside Dongmun Market, it's great for grabbing breakfast there in the mornings! The room is spacious and clean. The entrance door is locked when staff aren't around in the mornings and evenings, so you use your room key to open it. There are only stairs, but the staff helped me carry my luggage.

Excellent!
Facilities: Very comprehensive
Cleanliness: Very clean
Environment: Facing the park
Service: Excellent
My stay this time was fantastic! The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the GLOBECOM conference venue, and there are many特色 small eateries nearby. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent – I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise at all. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making both check-in and check-out very efficient. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety, with both Chinese and Western dishes available, and the taste was also great. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, and I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next conference!

This hostel is conveniently located near a bus stop and a U-bike station, right across from Linjiang Night Market. However, it's about 600-800 meters from Taipei 101/World Trade Center, Anhe, and Liuzhangli stations. The front desk is on the 12th floor, while rooms are on the 5th and 9th floors. The complimentary breakfast and 24-hour front desk service are definite pluses. Guests are required to change into indoor slippers upon entering the room, and the well-equipped common area is also a bonus. The bathroom facilities are quite basic, though. Overall, it's a good value-for-money hostel that I'd recommend.

Room was generally big and clean (the bath mat had a dirt stain, but everything else was fine. Didn’t use their kettle.) Bottled water was available. Could hear sounds of door closing but was generally quiet. Didn’t hear much traffic sounds though hotel is next to a road.
Easy access to metro, convenience stores and restaurants.
It is adjacent to the MRT station, which provides convenience for the travelers; the rooms adopt a softer and soothing tone, hoping to bring customers a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
We adjacent to Shida Night Market and Gongguan business district, less than two minutes away from Exit 4 of MRT Taipower Building MRT Station, convenience store is less than 200 kilometers away Square feet, convenient and comprehensive living functions, sandwiched between two top universities in Taiwan.
After a rest, no matter where you want to go, it is very convenient, and nearby environment makes it easy for tourists to worry.

I stayed in a double suite without windows. It took a while for the air conditioner to reach that temperature after adjusting the temperature. The bed was very comfortable and the quilt was of good quality. The service staff has a great attitude! When we first encountered a problem at the check-in counter, we immediately sought help from the service staff and the problem was resolved immediately.

Outstanding
FFengzhiguijiThe room layout is well-designed, and the location is convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Taipei.
KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!
SStella_CThe location is amazing! From Taipei Main station exit Z2 or M6. Go to the building and reception is at level 5. Many food places nearby, including local and international chains, and Starbucks as well. Staff are generally friendly. However, we were plagued by mosquitoes in the room everyday and every night, had to keep fighting them. The air con control panel is a dud. It's actually central air conditioning yet they just told us it is slow to adjust. As a result we were freezing through the first part of the night then too warm for the 2nd part. When it gets too cold, even if we turn off the air con, we can feel the cold air continue to come out of the vents. When I asked if it's possible to change room, reception claimed they were fully booked. Not my best stay in Taiwan I'm afraid. I guess its great for those who prefer rooms constantly around 21-22 Celcius.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.
SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.
AAnonymous UserA Fun and Funky Stay in the Heart of Taipei
I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife.
Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too.
Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality.
Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one.
Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.
AAnonymous UserThe location is pretty good, very close to Beiche/Ximen Station, and there are many convenience stores, fruit shops, and restaurants downstairs. The only drawback is that I specifically booked a room with a window, but when I opened the curtains, it was just a solid wall, LOL, I was speechless!
AAllanYongSoonTzek93I had a really enjoyable stay at MeWorld of Taipei, and overall it was a very positive experience from start to finish. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to come back to after long days exploring the city. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized, which immediately gave me peace of mind.
One of the highlights for me was the convenience of the location. Getting around Taipei was easy, with public transport, food options, and convenience stores all within walking distance. This made daily planning very flexible, whether I was heading out early in the morning or returning later at night. The area felt safe and lively, yet quiet enough to rest properly.
The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered patiently, and communication was smooth and clear. Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward and hassle‑free, which is something I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests.
The room itself was comfortable, tidy, and suitable for resting or working, with everything I needed for a short or longer stay. The environment was calm and relaxing, making it easy to sleep well despite being in a busy city like Taipei. I also appreciated how clean the common areas were, showing good attention to hygiene and maintenance.
Overall, MeWorld of Taipei offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a smooth stay experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taipei and would happily recommend it to friends, whether they are traveling solo, with family, or for work.
GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Taipei Main Station's M2 exit. You can easily walk to Ningxia Night Market and Ximending in about 20 minutes, and even Dihua Street if you're up for it. Popular spots like Fuhang Soy Milk and Shuangyue Food Company are also within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble finding great food and shopping from morning till night.
The guest rooms are located on the 5th to 7th floors of a multi-purpose building. While the double bed takes up most of the room, making it quite compact, there's a small indoor balcony-like space at the back. It has a compact table and chairs, perfect for eating takeout, and enough room to open your suitcase.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff are helpful in general, but the cleanliness of the room still needs big improvement.
I found screw on the floor, then something like ‘ash’ on the coffee table.
The door, if not closed super tightly, will remain open without notice.
