I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Chestnuts Boutique B&B! I was able to park up my car at the front of the establishment and walk around Bath for the rest of my visit! Attractions and places of interest were around a 15 minute walk away- which is fantastic!
The host was so helpful and attentive.
My room was clean and comfortable! I had access to plenty of wardrobe space,a TV with Netflix, a fridge, kettle and a well stocked box of tea treats (& fresh cakes too!)
Breakfast was gorgeous and fresh. There were plenty of local leaflets available to read about local events and attractions too.
Thank you very much!

The location is incredibly convenient. It's only a few minutes' walk to the train station, and even closer to the Roman Baths and the Abbey – just a three-minute stroll. The breakfast was excellent, and the service was great too.

Guest UserWe had an amazing stay at The Bailbrook House Hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and all the food was excellent.
We had a small issue at breakfast as were quite late coming in for it and some of the fruit had gone, however having said that the poached egg and avocado on sourdough I had was to die for, and was delicious, and the full english was very good too. All in all it was all very enjoyable stay and would definitely return, and recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Sold as a 5 star hotel and although it did look good from the outside, the inside was very dated and lacking tlc.the bathroom had what looked like black mould around the wall furniture and the sink had been covered in a wrap which was torn and some of the metal fixtures where corroded.the breakfast took over an hour as they seemed to take precedents over vips in the dining room who got food very quickly.from sitting down to receiving our breakfast took an hour both days.the staff where very apologetic but that does t make up for poor service and the quality was average. The Spa was also dated and the Gym was small with very little in it for a proper workout.

The location is not very convenient and not sure why but the buses that stop in front of the hostel do not show on either google map or apple map so I only found out there there were direct buses after arriving the hostel. However, instead of taking buses, I highly recommend walking to the city centre as you will walk through an amazing field of grassland. The room is very spacious, cozy, and quiet. Highly recommended!

The advertising pictures look stunning, but the actual room is quite different. The facilities are outdated, and my husband disliked the overhead shower—it felt like being forced to wash his hair even when he didn’t want to. The drainage in the shower was extremely slow, leaving water pooling around our feet. Ventilation in the bathroom was poor, making it uncomfortable. Additionally, the night shift staff were quite rude.
That being said, Bath is a beautiful city, and we will definitely return—just not to this hotel.

If you ever wanted to pretend you lived in a Georgian house, as if you were in a Jane Austen novel or in Bridgerton then you will not be disappointed staying here. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel was only a few minutes away from the centre of Bath, Holburn Museum and was an easy walk from the bus/train station. I will stay here again.

I am highly disappointed with our recent stay. We paid a premium price and the room we were given looked absolutely nothing like the bright, spacious photos advertised on their website.
Our room was significantly smaller and darker. It also felt dated and rundown.
To make matters worse, instead of any kind of decent view, our window looked directly out onto what appeared to be a backyard storage area filled with junk. It was depressing and certainly not what we shelled out a lot of money for.
On the functional side, the room was poorly maintained. The towel rail didn't work, and the bathroom extractor fan was broken, which made the small bathroom space feel even more cramped and humid.
The reception staff though was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed at Wentworth House for one night. The location was handy — only about a 6 or 7-minute taxi ride into the centre of Bath. Parking on site was free, which is always a bonus, though spaces were limited. The shower worked fine with good hot water, and at £120 a night for three people, the price wasn’t unreasonable for Bath.
On the downside, the place is very dated and could do with some serious modernisation. Our room had a noticeable damp smell and the single-glazed windows didn’t help keep the room warm or quiet. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, but overall, it’s an okay option if you just need somewhere for a night and aren’t too fussy — though a refresh would really lift the place.
