Hotels near St. Mark's Campanile, Venice

The room was big and spacious , and the view from our hotel was also good . We really liked and enjoyed . The only issue we had is the bathroom , it was on the second floor and we are on the first floor. When we asked about it on the reception , the staff on the time at 2 pm on 18-3 was quite rude. I dont know why she need to yell. Its better to say in a polite manner.

The hotel has a great location, just a two-minute walk from the water bus stop. The room is a decent size, but it's older and more run-down than it appears in the photos. There's only a thin sheet on the bed; if you feel cold, you can take a blanket (a bit dirty) from the closet and put it on top of the sheet. Breakfast includes bread, yogurt, croissants, juice, and coffee. The staff are friendly. Considering the price and location, it's very good value for money.

We were given the exact room shown in the first photo - absolutely stunning and very comfortable. Everything was perfectly clean, and we honestly have nothing negative to say. The charming Venetian style of the room made our stay in beautiful Venice truly unforgettable. The hotel’s location is perfect, and the hospitality was wonderful. Thank you for having us!

What a fantastic stay , great location , the room was just something else , it felt very fancy and so grand like Venice itself , the price of the room was great 2 adults and 2 kids … The only downfall was breakfast , it felt cheap compared to the stay itself … Staff were super friendly and helpful …

Perfect location in the heart of Venice. The staff was super friendly and let me check-in already in the morning (the room was luckily available). They even fixed a light bulb which wasn't working. The room itself was quite good and spacious for the price. Would recommend and stay here again.

Queue for breakfast was long. I was told I had to pay the room tax in cash but I had no cash. Cash was not mentioned in my booking. Wanted to pay by card but had to get cash. Mosquitoes in my room on first night. Lift wasn’t working on the day I checked out yet no one told me of this and there was no offer to help me with my bags. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet.

The male staff working in morning is super nice . room is bit small for 2 people. Location is excellent, 🏨 is in the middle of the town . It is adjacent to supermarkets and restaurants. But , the air conditioning in my room 27 was not working well during my stay...

My flight was in the morning from MXP, so I left the hotel at 4 am. I asked the front desk at least 5 times about where is the ferry station and time table, which Lorenzo gave me very accurate answer and printed out the time table, indicated the station on map for me. However, the station that he gave me was wrong( I arrived 10 mins in advance ) so I missed the ferry at 4:21….there was absolutely no one in anywhere near the station so I desperately rushed back with my luggages to the hotel, where there is an older guy in the front desk said it’s the next station after the one Lorenzo gave me, which means one more bridge. Yet, I did ask this older guy before I left the hotel at 4 and he was very sure. When the second time i doubted him he said “ you can wherever u like lady!” There was no empathy, as if it’s none of their business! Second time I rushed to the correct station n took the ferry at 4:55 and I missed the train to Milan! Buying another italo ticket wasn’t a problem but it’s about life and limb! I’m just hoping the front desk could be more professional n check really carefully when they give suggestion. I would definitely miss my flight if there was no Italo fast train, plus I took taxi right after I arrived Milano centrale to make it! Room was small couldnt open big luggage but it was clean, the cleaning lady deserved a big tip! I like they provide water and slippers. The view from my room is authentic. The hotel is convenient if u r around San Marco square or you always have to go to bathroom. If u r taking night ferry to Santa Lucia Train station Ferrovia, remember is on the right END station from San Marco, it’s another bridge u have to cross.

Great stay and great location! Small but cozy, it’s comfortable anyway. We’ll be back here if by any chance we visit again!

The staff at Dona Palace were so friendly and helpful. The garden area for drinks is a real bonus, has it's own boat docking pier which means you can easily see all the gondolas going by. The room was lovely too, with plenty of room and we had a lovely view over the garden area. Breakfast was fabulous, a good range of continental style options plus hot options as well, the staff covering breakfast were also lovely and friendly. Very quiet, couldn't hear other guests moving around at all. Very close to San Marco Piazza and plenty of shops and restaurants close by and within easy walking distance. A wonderful 3 night stay, would definitely stay there again.
