Hotels near Makati, Makati

"The room was quite spacious, and I even got an upgrade initially. The location is great, close to the central area of Makati. However, the facilities were just average. The faucet was broken, and the shower was missing some parts. What I couldn't stand the most was the sheer number of bugs in the room. I had booked for two days, but ended up requesting an early check-out through Trip.com. The hotel, Home me Hotel - Makati, was quite accommodating with the refund, which was a good point."

"We always enjoy the breakfast here. The dining area is always clean and the servers are friendly and accommodating. As for the room, the one we booked is spacious enough for four adults. The beds are big and are comfy. We will definitely return, especially if there will be promos from online booking apps."

"Located in a convenient part of Makati, it's about a 15-minute ride to anywhere in the city. There are restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby, which is quite handy. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and attentive to details. They quickly resolve any issues and even take the time to chat and understand how your trip is going, which I found very thoughtful. It makes me want to come back again."

"Before departing for Manila, I booked through Trip.com and sent an email to the hotel in advance, requesting a high floor away from the elevator. Upon check-in, I was assigned to the 27th floor – kudos to that! The room was spacious with a king-size bed and floor-to-ceiling windows. Ironing facilities, a hairdryer, and a mini-fridge were all provided. The bathroom was very large and featured a huge bathtub. The water pressure was excellent, and the hot water heated up quickly. Although the air conditioning wasn't central, it cooled the room very effectively. The only minor drawback was that after showering, water would spread all over the bathroom floor, even extending into the main room. It seems the drainage system isn't very efficient, and I hope this can be improved. As for the surroundings, 7-Eleven and a shopping mall are both just a 3-minute walk away. SM Shopping Mall and the Metropolitan area are a 30-minute walk, and Ayala MRT Station is also within a 30-minute walk."

"Just wanted to give some feedback, so many things went wrong. When I checked in at 12 PM, they gave me room 2303. I went up, but couldn't open the door for a while, so I had to go back down. After waiting for quite some time, they gave me another room, 2304. I noticed it was a twin room, and the beds were tiny, like 1 meter wide? If they were bigger, I would have just dealt with it since I was exhausted from traveling all day. But they were really too small for what I paid; I might as well have stayed at a regular guesthouse. If I asked the front desk to change rooms again, I'd have to go back down and wait at least 20 minutes. The front desk kept telling me to wait, even after I told them I booked a room with two large beds and showed them my reservation. They still made me wait, and wait, and wait. Then they told me to go back to my room and wait. I asked how long, it felt like forever. I even thought about trying to push the beds together. Anyway, I put up with all that, but then there was no hot water for my shower. I was naked, waiting for them to come and fix it for over 10 minutes. It's now 2:15 AM. Also, there was no comb, no slippers, no shower cap, and no cotton swabs."

"The Peninsula Hotel boasts an excellent location, close to Ayala Mall and Ayala Museum! It's definitely worth exploring the area! This neighborhood is very safe, so there's no need to worry. From the moment you enter, the staff greet you with warm smiles, making you feel completely at ease. The coconut trees in the lobby add a lovely tropical touch, and the piano accompaniment in the main hall creates a very elegant atmosphere!"

"The room was decent, and the hotel staff were very friendly. My only minor complaint is that I booked a king-sized bed, but when I arrived, only twin beds were available. So I ended up staying in a twin room, which slightly diminished the experience. Everything else was great, clean and hygienic."

"I booked this hotel very very last minute for a solo trip to Manila and it turned out to be an amazing and incredibly affordable stay. As i was booking quite late, they only had the twin rooms (w/ two single beds) available but it was totally fine with me. The bed was super super comfortable. The staff were so hospitable. The hotel felt safe and secure. Your wishes to not make up the room are respected if you don't want that. Pretty nice gym in the basement that had everything I needed for a holiday workout and a pool on the roof with great views. The only downsize is that the pool isn't that bit so if there are more than 2 other ppl in there with you, its already a crowd. Not a big deal. I didn't realize that the hotel is a few blocks from the red light district until a few nights in as you don't get that sense from the immediate area. I would 100 times out of 100 stay here again, it has my recomendation."

"The property itself is impressive, the rooms are spacious, and both the receptionist and security guards were superbly polite and accommodating. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was extremely disappointing and did not match the quality or price point of the stay. The breakfast selection was the poorest I’ve encountered among hotels and serviced apartments. The juice and salad station lacked variety, fruit bowls and cheese platters were not replenished, and there was no signature breakfast item such as bacon, porridge, or champorado. Even the hot dishes were poorly executed, flavors were indistinguishable, with garlic chicken tasting no different from marinated pork. It was especially disheartening given that this was a Sunday and Mother’s Day, a time when guests naturally expect a thoughtful and celebratory spread. The lack of attention to detail in the breakfast service overshadowed the otherwise excellent property and staff. Considering this is under the Ascott group, it is disappointing to see such standards fall short. It was not only my experience; other guests at nearby tables expressed similar concerns. One guest even resorted to preparing her own tableware from another table, while complaining about the lack of fruit variety and other dishes, especially as she was expecting more family members to join for breakfast. Regrettably, I would not consider returning unless the breakfast offering is significantly improved."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great stay at GemstoneBR – SMDC Air Residences I really enjoyed my stay at GemstoneBR in SMDC Air Residences. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped, especially if you’re staying for more than just a night or two. One thing I really appreciated was how much was provided inside the unit. There’s a proper kitchen with a fridge, microwave, stove, kettle, rice cooker, plates, utensils and other cooking essentials, so you can actually prepare your own meals. There’s also a washing machine, which was extremely convenient during my stay. The apartment itself was cosy and nicely decorated. I loved the little living area with the sofa and Smart TV, and having Netflix and YouTube available made it easy to relax when I didn’t feel like going out. The bedroom was comfortable, and I also appreciated the slippers, toiletries and other small essentials that were provided. Those little touches made the apartment feel more welcoming. The bathroom has a hot shower and they even provide a hairdryer. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is basically already there. The location was another big plus for me. SMDC Air Residences is in Makati, so it was convenient for getting around, and having shops and other essentials nearby made things much easier. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and I think GemstoneBR is a great option if you want something that feels more like a little home than just a hotel room. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it, especially for solo travellers or anyone planning a longer stay in Manila. ❤️"
