"The hotel is definitely a gem, located at Kamala beach with a stunning view when the lift door opened at lobby.
Reception staff is friendly and professional, welcome drink and cold tower for refreshment while waiting for the check in procedure.
Room is spacious, clean and a great view.
Hotel located with some distance from the attraction locations, so while it’s a bit inconvenient, but you get a more peaceful environment.
The breakfast is varied and delicious."

"The rooms were advertised as newly renovated in the past couple of years, but it's actually a very old property. While the hotel itself is old, the facilities and furniture are indeed quite dated. It gives off a strong 80s retro vibe, which isn't surprising as the hotel was established in 1985 and the decor is entirely in that 80s style. The service maintains an old-school hotel charm, almost as if you've arrived in Hawaii. The hotel's clientele is quite international, with a significant number of Asian families, predominantly Korean; Chinese families, however, are rarely seen. However, the hotel does have its interesting aspects: the view from the scenic rooms is quite good, offering a beautiful bay view. A notable highlight is that Leonardo DiCaprio also stayed here. Apparently, he stayed around 2000 while filming 'The Beach,' and there are even photos of him at the hotel. It's quite interesting, kind of like staying in the same hotel as a celebrity."

"We had a wonderful experience at Andaman Beach Hotel handwritten collection . The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing excellent customer service throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable with beautiful views. Breakfast offered a great variety of fresh, tasty options, and the amenities including the pool and fitness center were top-notch. Overall, a relaxing and memorable stay. Will absolutely come back again

"A good hotel, located within easy reach of central Patong. We stayed here as a family of three. We booked the Family Room, which has two bedrooms. The room was great, two bathrooms, really comfortable beds. The only issue we had with the room was that we found it a bit noisy. I think initially we were unlucky with particularly noisy neighbours, but we could hear people walking past our room very clearly - nothing major, but a good soundproof door would help.
Pool was lovely, it does have limited beds, but there was only one day during our stay they were all taken. The Kids Club is small, but was never very busy - the lady there, Pang, was lovely and really good with our son.
The majority of staff were very friendly, and greeted you with a smile. 3pm chocolate was a nice touch. I also read a few reviews about check-in being a bad experience - we arrived early in the morning and the staff checked us in quickly and were able to get our room ready for us before the official check-in time - thank you. After a long flight, that was very much appreciated."

"Location is very convenient for shopping, dining and drinks. The breakfast spread is quite impressive. The staff are all friendly and courteous, even upgraded me to a room with a balcony. Though the hotel is nice, it didn't feel like a 5-star hotel and couldn't justify the higher room rate. There weren't any bathrobes, no proper wardrobe or shelves to put our clothes. I did like my stay overall but to be frank, I will not stay again if it's at these room rates. There are a few other 4-star hotels in the same area there are quite comparable in comfort & service and at 4-star hotel rates."

"This was a lovely hotel and had one of the best roof pool so if you looking for a hotel with an amazing roof pool in Phuket Pa tong this is the one ! The lady manager was extremely focused and showed excellent leadership to her team. They gave me extra time to check out and were patient and understand with me as I missed the date of of check out ! And later broke my perfum and couldn’t find my charger but then made sure to find it before I left"

"Room. Our stay at the 2 bedrm Club Suite was awesome! Next to Club Pakarang, we were just a few steps away from the infinity pool, gym, awesome view and daily happy hour. Room was clean and well kept too.
Breakfast. While breakfast at the main restaurant had an unbeatable spread, breakfast at clubhouse offered classy serving. We were pleasantly surprised with the offer of wild honey in addition to normal honey for our waffles, as well as cinnamon to go with our beverage.
Buggy service was nothing like some of the complaints we read. In fact, as we were staying by the clubhouse, buggies were often available even without our call.
Service. Above all, the Amari hospitality never fails! Service staff were always courteous, friendly and proactive. We were greeted even by staff who were going about their work or leaving the resort after their workday. While standing at the main entrance waiting for our taxi, they proactively directed us to seats and asked if they could help. These simple gestures go a long way to help us feel at ease and welcome.

"The location is fantastic. It's just a 7-8 minute walk to Kata Beach. A 7-Eleven and the Kata Night Market are right across from the hotel, and the airport bus route passes by, making it super convenient for meals and getting around. We booked a spacious suite for our family trip. We'd emailed the hotel in advance about bringing our child, and the sofa bed they set up was quite good. The decor feels quite new, and the room was spotlessly clean and tidy. The service was very friendly, though the staff's English accents were quite strong, so you might need to listen closely a few times. The breakfast selection was decent. The pool is a bit small and lacks a view, but it didn't affect our stay. Around a five-minute walk to the right from the hotel entrance, there's a chain coffee shop with air conditioning. The prices are comparable to what you'd find back home, so it's worth trying."

From the moment we arrived, Hyatt Regency Phuket impressed us with its stunning ocean views, beautifully landscaped grounds, and warm hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and came with a breathtaking view of the Sea. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious choices. We also loved the pool area — perfect for relaxing while enjoying the sunset.
Special mention to the shuttle service that made getting around Patong and Kamala so convenient. The hotel truly offers a perfect balance of luxury, comfort, relaxing and great service.
We can’t wait to come back — highly recommended for anyone visiting Phuket!

IIvan KraljEven if it ended with a nice gesture, the receptionist handing me a keychain gift (not sure if they do that with all guests), with a written request to leave 10/10 review, sadly I couldn't ignore the shortcomings of this hostel that seemed like just a downgraded version of Marco Polo Poshtel (not sure which one came first, but from breakfast to ”funny” wall messages, there was a similar ”creative” signature).
While I was initially attracted by reviews mentioning hostel's cleanliness, I couldn't say I shared the same opinion. Certain public areas were quite messy. The staircase to the first floor (where shoes are forbidden) didnt seem to be cleaned for some time. In the showers (which had a good water pressure), there was mold. None of the three handsoap dispensers in the only bathroom had soap in them. It just felt the staff doesnt have time or organizational skills to maintain everything in working order.
But I was mostly surprised by finding a not clean (i dont want to call it ”used”) bed cover in my bed. It had some fresh stains, hair and crumbles (well, not just on bed cover), and seemed just to be folded after the guest before me (even the folding seemed messed up, so i really thought maybe the bed was forgotten). When I asked the housekeeping to change it, they initially approved. The younger housekeeper started changing everything, sheet included (which i believe is a good way to do it, when it is not certain if the bed was completely changed), but when the older one returned, she made her put the sheet back (the sheet that was thrown on the floor in the meantime), laughing all along. No, that wasnt really funny.
Then instead of letting the young housekeeper put on the new bed cover she brought along, i noticed that the older one brought something that seemed to be the same old bed cover that i complained about (the duvet was already inside). When i asked if that is a new thing, she was convincing me it was. Already at that moment, i felt ridiculed. But i said, ”okay, if you say so.”
After all was done, i came back to my bed, unfolded the bed cover and confirmed my doubt - all this performance of changing the bed, without them changing anything! The only difference was that the bedsheet was also on the floor in the meantime.
This got me really frustrated, mostly because they lied to my face (what for?), and mostly because they invested energy in ”changing” everything while actually just stripping everything off and returning it (why? It takes the same amount of energy to do it for real). Feeling like an *****, i asked what seemed to be the problem? Dont they have clean bedding, or what? But they had. I asked them to give it to me then, and i would happily prepare the bed myself. Which they accepted. Lol.
I dont know, with that poor breakfast, the visual mess, unpleasant ”toilet” scent at hostel entrance, and generally low level of cleanliness (you can see how yellow the pillow is once you remove the pillow case yourself), it felt that other reviews mentioning spotless hygiene were misleading. Or were my standards too high?
In any case, i stayed in a dozen of Phuket hostels during my month here, but none of them tried to insult my intelligence. There are better places, and no, Dorm Hostel sadly doesnt deserve 10/10, to quote the request they tell everyone at check-out.
I also tried to leave them space for hostel improvement, so instead of lowest marks, i left average ones, even if the experience was truly below average.
P.S. When a guest asks whether a ferry with a pick-up operates everywhere in Phuket, a genuinely helpful answer would be ”yes”. And not ”no, it's only our hostel's pickup”. I understand everyone just tries to earn money, but it shouldn't be done by misleading guests who just trustfully ask for information.

The sea view was definitely the highlight of the experience. It was visible from almost everywhere in the hotel, and the teppanyaki restaurant, Gin, was exceptional. The chef was friendly, personable, and professional. The food was of good quality, and one of the older, elegant Thai-Chinese ladies providing service stood out, especially since the other staff members were less pleasant during our dining experience. We left feedback with their names in their internal feedback. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality of the room and the air conditioning, which was a significant letdown, as well as the variety and overall spread of the breakfast.

Just outside the hotel, you'll find a smaller 7-Eleven to your left and a larger one to your right – take your pick. The local restaurants and massage parlors nearby are all excellent.
The beach is a bit of a walk, about 10 minutes, but the hotel conveniently offers a shuttle service.

DDar BagsI was there during Christmas and it was good location close to Kamala beach (but will require you to cross a busy road). Restaurant staff was short and lunch was sad with wait time for one plate of food gone up to about an hour. Same with room service as no one ever picked up the phone.
