80% of the room rate goes to the location, which is indeed very convenient for walking to the park, allowing for two or three round trips a day. Everything else is quite ordinary, and the facilities are old. I stayed in a ground-floor courtyard room, and the bathroom had a strange smell. The comforter felt damp, even after the plum rain season. The room layout was also a bit odd, with many wooden furniture pieces showing wear and tear, and I couldn't find the switch for the ventilation. The air conditioner also made a noticeable noise. For a resort hotel at this price point, not having a gym is truly baffling. I thought it might be small, but to have none at all is really inappropriate. As for service, I basically had no opportunity to use any. The cleaning lady was very active and enthusiastic, but why did I get new toothbrushes every day for a two-night stay? It's not eco-friendly at all. Overall, it felt like a small European boutique hotel (?), with average maintenance and old facilities. I heard it's pulling out of China, and I hope the next owner doesn't squander this excellent location.
