The breakfast spread (seen in the pics) actually offers a good mix—Chinese food, plus coffee and juices. For a quick airport stop, it hits the spot. · Convenient transport: If you skip the shuttle, ordering a taxi directly from the hotel to the airport is super easy and fast. Cons to note: · Elevator & shuttle crowds: The biggest inconvenience is the morning checkout rush. Everyone is heading to the airport at the same time, so the elevators get jammed, and the queue for the bus shuttle can be crowded. It's absolutely fine for the price. Just leave your room 15–20 minutes earlier than you think you need to, or simply grab a taxi from the front door to avoid the shuttle chaos. Would stay again for an early flight."

"The Da Zhong Airport Hotel is a very convenient option for a long layover, as it is located directly inside Terminal 1 of the airport. Check-in was quick and easy. We booked a non-smoking room, and although we initially walked into the wrong wing and were worried because of the strong smell of cigarettes, our actual room was in a different wing and had no cigarette smell at all. The room was quite small and a little worn, but clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay: a small double bed, desk and chair, armchair, private bathroom with a shower, toiletries, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, hairdryer, disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, and slippers. Our overnight layover lasted around 14 hours, so we had breakfast in the morning. The selection was quite limited, with rice, salad, pasta, boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, coffee, and juice, but it was still enough for a filling breakfast. I would have liked a little more variety. One thing to note is that breakfast is served until 9:30 a.m., even though some information says it is available until 10:00 a.m. Also, breakfast costs 30 yuan, which was a little confusing because I had booked a room with breakfast included. Overall, a good and very convenient option if you just need a clean place to rest during a long layover without leaving the airport."

"The hotel is well-located, right in the middle of the pedestrian street. We stayed in a standard room, but after our flight was canceled due to a typhoon, we extended our stay for another day and were moved to an upgraded room. The room was fantastic, we were probably lucky. It had two rooms: a living room with a sofa and a magnificent view of the pedestrian street. Besides a tea set, there was also a coffee machine. There was also a large, separate bathroom. It's an ideal option for a family with a child. The breakfasts are very good, with options for both children and adults. The only thing I didn't notice was an omelet station; there were fried eggs and scrambled eggs instead. But you won't go hungry; a delicious and hearty breakfast is guaranteed."

"The room was very clean and had no strange odors. All the staff were very friendly. I booked a twin room, and the front desk upgraded us to a family room for free when they saw my husband and I had a child. When we were checking out, my husband asked me to buy some water, and the front desk overheard and gave us two bottles of mineral water for free. The service was really thoughtful. The most important thing is that this hotel has a great location. It's only about a 20 RMB Didi ride to the Bund, and the People's Square subway station is just a few hundred meters away. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is also very close. Even better, this hotel is very close to the Shanghai International Trade Hotel Bakery, just two blocks away. The beef noodles downstairs are delicious and cheap, only 16 RMB a bowl, and they're open until 1 AM. There's also a Shanghai soup dumpling place downstairs that's very tasty, and many celebrities have visited it. This is my honest review, and I hope it helps future travelers."

The hotel features 223 stylish rooms, a Chinese and French buffet breakfast restaurant and gym, which will be the ideal choice for business and leisure travellers.
"This hotel is 8-9 years old, and the facilities are quite poor. There's absolutely no street view. I initially went to the Marriott Renaissance by mistake, which is around the same price and also has similar operating hours, but it's in a much higher building. If you're not in one of the street-facing rooms at the Mercure, you're looking right at the back of a residential complex. 😢 The late-night snack was just noodles and wontons from that day! And the breakfast the next morning 😂😂😂 was even worse... I arrived at 9:20 AM and most of the food was gone, and they weren't restocking it promptly. I observed that by 9:45 AM, there was hardly anything good left. If you want breakfast, you better go early! I came here based on Ctrip reviews, but honestly, it was just mediocre. I don't know why it has so many good reviews! The Marriott Renaissance, for a similar price, offers city night views (not of the Oriental Pearl Tower, though) and an indoor pool, and it's closer to Yu Garden. The two hotels are only about a 10-minute walk apart! Anyway, if there's a next time, I'll definitely choose the Marriott Renaissance. 😂😂😂 Oh, and the hairdryer in the hotel 😂😂😂 had a bad connection; I had to hold it to make it work. I also don't know if it was just my imagination, but when I first entered the bathroom, there was a slight smell of urine... and my nose is particularly sensitive. To sum it up in one sentence... this room is not worth 1200! The service, however, was very good! No doubt about that."

"My stay at the丽呈酒店 (Rezen Hotel) in Shanghai Lujiazui truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give it a big shout-out. I booked a special offer basic king room, and at check-in, the front desk directly upgraded me to a higher room type for free. There were no extra charges, and I didn't even have to ask – their service was perfectly balanced and made me feel incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's only about a hundred meters walk from Fangdian Road subway station, where you can take Line 9 and transfer to Line 2 directly to Lujiazui and Century Avenue. This makes it incredibly convenient for shopping, catching high-speed trains, or getting to the airport. The room's cleanliness was impeccable; the desk, bathroom corners, and bedding details were all spotless, making for a worry-free stay. The breakfast selection was rich, with a full range of meats, vegetables, pastries, and drinks, and the taste was good, satisfying daily dining needs. I'll briefly mention two minor flaws: the shower water temperature was a bit low; even at maximum, it was still quite cool, which significantly affected the showering experience. Also, the self-service laundry room was quite busy, requiring a wait in line. Putting these two points aside, the value for money in this area is outstanding, and I will definitely prioritize staying here again when I come to Pudong in the future."
