"First time staying at Otherwander! The QR key system was really weird to use at first but the staff were really helpful on explaining how it works. Everything feels secure because you have to open the front door, inside gates and a second door on your floor before being able to unlock and enter your pod.
I booked a single pod which was surprisingly roomier than I expected and the storage tray, hooks and table meant I could store my backpack and extra bags easily in my pod. The pod also has a brilliant AC system, USB A and USB C plug as well as a regular plug socket in the cubby for your shoes (where you also get free slippers!) and theres a towel rail with a free towel to use as well!
The bathrooms all seemed really clean and I didn’t try the showers this time but they looked clean and spacious and the vending machines for food and drink on the ground floor were really convenient (but a tad expensive given you can go to a tesco across the street and get the same thing cheaper!)
Overall I had a really nice first stay - the location is right by the Elizabeth line station for Tottenham Court Road so its really centrally located which was only a downside when a loud, shouty group of people were on my floor at 3AM and woke me up - but it only proved how good the soundproofing was as it only sounded like light chatter and they were practically shouting full volume! Perhaps the pillows could be thicker or an option for an extra one would be nice and the mattress was a bit firm but overall I’d stay here again - it felt worth the upgrade for a bit more comfort and security compared to the Zedwell Capsule hotel not too far away."
"Room is clean and giant as having a room for Junior Suite. Location is perfect , as opposite of Leicester Square & Chinatown. Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square , St James's Park, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street , Bond Street , etc all are only waking in few minutes from hotel. Saving a lot of time on transportation….he best accommodation for sightseeing"
"Great location, really close to Chinatown. It can get a bit noisy during the day because of the plaza downstairs, but it's fine at night, so you can get a good night's sleep. They also allow service dogs without an extra charge, and check-in was super quick."
"Lovely stay! This was my 3rd stay in this hotel, and have never had faults before. The staff were lovely, attentive, and access was easy at all hours. The location is amazing and cleanliness was flawless. The original room we had booked was unavailable, so we were ‘upgraded’ from a 3 person room, to a 4 person room on the third floor. However, we had requested a room close to the elevator as a family member has a disability, but this was overlooked, and couldn’t have been further away. In my previous stays, the rooms were soundproof, but this time, we were clearly placed towards a nightclub, and could hear ‘thumping’ while in the room until 3am both nights. And unfortunately we couldn’t be provided with more pillows ‘due to demand’. Despite this, it was a great stay, would stay again and would recommend, understanding that demand is high and the sounds of London are almost impossible to block out entirely! And I do believe the staff sincerely tried their utmost to accommodate our requests where possible!"
"I booked a windowless room, and it was truly windowless. If that bothers you, then don't book this room, as you really can't tell if it's day or night outside.
Before checking in, I saw some comments saying the hotel would transfer guests to a partner hotel, so I was relieved that I was able to check in smoothly without any transfers.
The location is convenient, not far from Chinatown or Big Ben.
Overall, it was good, but they do charge for luggage storage after check-out."
"Pros: Great location, right next to UCL, a five-minute walk from Euston Station, and about a ten-minute walk from King's Cross Station. You can get there by bus, just get off at Russell Square. The British Museum is also within walking distance. There are many restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel, which is very convenient.
Cons: The facilities are old, and small rooms are common in London, so I won't dwell on that. The sink is incredibly small, only about 30 cm wide, which feels very cramped. My biggest complaint is that the window is as thin as paper; I've never seen such thin windows in the UK. It offers absolutely no sound insulation, and the street noise outside is enormous. The walls are also thin; you can clearly hear even the slightest movement from next door. No wonder the hotel doesn't provide any other disposable items, only two pairs of earplugs."
"The location was convenient for getting around. While it's close to the station, it's not right in front of it, so it might be a bit challenging if you're lugging a big suitcase. You could tell the building was a bit old from the creaky floors, but the room itself was clean and the air conditioning worked well, making for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet had the same menu every day, but the food was delicious."
"The room was clean, the service was very welcoming, and the transportation was convenient. Heathrow Airport has a direct underground line to Russell Square station, which is about 200 meters from the hotel. A single metro ticket costs less than 6 pounds per person. Breakfast was English style, and the quality was good, though it might not suit everyone's taste, especially Chinese palates.
Location: The British Museum is just across the street!"
"Absolutely amazing! The driver who dropped us off told us it might be noisy here, but I stayed for five days and didn't find it noisy at all; I slept wonderfully every night.
The service was fantastic. When we checked in, I believe it was a manager and a staff member who helped carry our luggage to the room and explained the room's facilities. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day, and a pleasant surprise was that we received fresh fruit daily! At first, I thought it was just a welcome amenity, but to my surprise, when I hadn't eaten it for three days, they replaced it with a fresh batch.
The location is superb. Directly across the street is Chinatown, perfect for grabbing water and meals. About 400 meters to the right of the hotel is Piccadilly Circus underground station, which is just 3 stops to the Sherlock Holmes Museum and 6 stops to Paddington Station – super convenient. To the right, about 60 meters, is the Queen's Theatre, home to Les Misérables, and about 200 meters to the left is the theatre showing Harry Potter. "
"Perfect location. Definitely no where near a 4 star - small double bed, no box of tissues in room, bathroom extractor didn't work, bathroom toilet could be cleaner, mood lighting in room didn't work. Absolutely fine to spend the night but expensive for what it is. I told the staff in the morning about the various issues, they were very polite but didn't seem to care."

BBertBenThis hotel is pretty good for the price. The room size was just right, and the staff were very friendly. We arrived around 11 AM, and they allowed us to check in early, which was great. The breakfast had a lot of choices and is worth trying.
The only two downsides are: if you walk from Whitechapel, that area feels a bit messy and smells quite strong. Also, the kitchen is really small, but it seems like most Aparthotels in Europe are like that.
KKL@@Great place to stay very local to tube. All the staff were very polite, friendly, attentive and kind as well as maintaining professionalism. Breakfast had a good selection, however I like the light option but one can clearly enjoy whatever they wish. I slept very well. The rooms were spacious with Aircon and as a bonus I couldn’t hear anyone from other rooms. I would definitely recommend ROCKWELL to others and I would stay here again. Thank you for my stay!
NNA2026Great stay at the Novotel Canary Wharf. super easy access to the subway and a smooth connection to the airport, which made getting around effortless. There's a convenient coffee shop right downstairs, perfect for a quick start to the day. Loved being able to unwind at the pool and sauna after a long day out. Definitely will come back!
GGuest UserThis was the first hotel for our family's UK trip. After much deliberation, we chose this Holiday Inn Express which is quite close to the city center. The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway, buses, and trains. The hotel maintained the consistent quality of the Holiday Inn brand. We were also lucky enough to snag a group deal that included parking and some meals. A special thank you goes to Christina, a kind and patient lady who speaks Chinese. Due to the high demand for rooms on the weekend and our first-time use of a Ctrip hotel group coupon, the check-in process was a bit convoluted, but the final outcome was very satisfying. Our family left London happily to begin the next leg of our journey. BTW, we encountered many odd Indian guests; whether it was in the cramped elevator or at the popular breakfast buffet, they all exuded a strange confidence, as if they owned the place. I wonder who gave them that idea 🤔🤔🤔
GGuest UserGreat location for Piccadilly and the London sights. Breakfast was also fabulous. Staff at the hotel go above and beyond. Special thanks to Radi Dimiatrova and Kariny Cazuza for their careful preparation of our room for our arrival. This was a reunion for me and my daughter and it was a great surprise. Thanks to all the hotel staff who looked after us during our stay and for the bar staff for looking after us with Negronis one night in the piano bar!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel service was excellent. The concierge offered complimentary luggage storage, and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and amenities provided. The room itself was fully equipped with everything we needed. This year, the UK has experienced unusually hot weather, so having air conditioning indoors was a huge plus. The transportation is very convenient, as it's only about 300 meters from Shepherd's Bush, and the Westfield shopping center nearby makes shopping super easy. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.
BBoYanboThis is a 'decent' hotel. Yes, that's the word. The facilities aren't brand new, but the mattress in the room is still comfortable, the towels are still soft, the toilet paper is still thick, and the hygiene standards are consistently good. The breakfast is a classic English breakfast, meeting the expected standards for a four-star hotel. The location is excellent, situated in a wealthy area of London with very convenient transportation; the subway station is right next door. And the price, especially during the off-season, offers fantastic value for money. Backed by the Millennium Hotels Group and Singaporean capital, it's surprisingly good – the hotel's own restaurant serves authentic wonton noodles and Hainanese chicken rice! Plus, guests get discount coupons! If I had to summarize in one sentence, I'd say this is a well-managed, old-fashioned but not outdated hotel.
AAnonymous UserPros:
1. Great location with convenient transportation, close to all major attractions.
2. Well-developed surrounding commercial facilities, making it easy to purchase daily necessities.
3. Rooms are cleaned daily and include a safe.
Cons:
1. The building is old and the space is cramped.
2. No air conditioning and poor ventilation. Not recommended during hot summer periods.
3. Street-facing rooms are noisy, with frequent sounds of cars and motorcycles revving their engines.
AAnil ShewakramA memorable hotel stay seamlessly blends comfort, exceptional service, and local charm. The experience begins with a warm, efficient welcome that immediately washes away travel fatigue. Inside the room, pristine cleanliness and thoughtful design create a personal sanctuary, featuring a plush bed and modern amenities. Delightful surprises, like a stunning window view or complimentary local treats, elevate the atmosphere. Exceptional hospitality shines through attentive staff who anticipate needs without intruding. Dining experiences, from a vibrant breakfast buffet to artisan coffee, celebrate regional flavours. Ultimately, a perfect stay transforms a simple lodging choice into a relaxing, unforgettable highlight of the journey.
GGuest UserEven though it's far from central London, it's about a 15-minute walk to the tube station, and there's a bus stop right outside with frequent services. The hotel is basic, but for the price, it's excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast is an extra £5.99, and it's absolutely worth it compared to prices in the area. The room was small but functional, with a new bathroom. The only minor issue was that when we arrived at Britannia Inn, they directed us to another hotel (Park Hotel) from the same group, about 500m away.
