"I chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday and paid nearly TWD 9,000 for one night, expecting a memorable stay. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had.
I requested a room with a view of the Tenjin Festival fireworks through Trip.com almost two months before my stay. Trip.com later confirmed that this request had been forwarded to the hotel. However, I was only informed at check-in that my room would not have a fireworks view, leaving me with no opportunity to change my room or book another hotel.
What disappointed me even more was the attitude of the front desk staff. When I asked whether my request had been received, I was met with a questioning tone and was asked if I had actually sent the message. I was then told that the hotel had only received information that it was my birthday, and that rooms with fireworks views were more expensive. However, I later checked the hotel’s official website and found that the price for those rooms was very similar to what I had already paid through Trip.com.
Instead of trying to understand or resolve the situation, the staff repeatedly told me to contact Trip.com and insisted that it was not the hotel’s responsibility. Later, Trip.com informed me that they had indeed forwarded my request to the hotel but never received a response.
The room itself was clean and the facilities were nice, but good facilities cannot make up for poor customer service. I expected much better hospitality from a Hilton property, especially on such an important occasion. Sadly, this experience ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration.
I hope the hotel will improve its communication with booking partners and provide better training for its front desk staff so that future guests do not experience the same disappointment."
"The location is fantastic, making getting around and shopping incredibly convenient. There's a subway station and bus stop right across from the hotel's main entrance, so public transport to anywhere is a breeze. Osaka Castle is within walking distance, and various shopping malls are just across the street from the hotel, making shopping super easy. The room size is generous, quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, so you won't feel cramped during your stay. The only downside is that the hotel's breakfast only offers Western options with no Japanese dishes, which might be a bit disappointing for travelers hoping to experience a traditional Japanese breakfast. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a top choice for accommodation when traveling."
"I was a bit worried seeing the mixed reviews online for this hotel, but I booked it anyway because the price was really good – a single room for less than 300 RMB a night.
Turns out, the location is super convenient. Tenmabashi Station has two subway lines and the Keihan Railway, which can take you directly to central Kyoto. You can also take the Keihan Railway to visit Nakanoshima in Osaka. Apparently, there's even a direct train from Kansai Airport, but I didn't catch it because the timing didn't work out.
The hotel entrance has some steps, but you can call staff for help with your luggage. Toiletries are self-serve, and the best part is the free water available – that's a nice touch. The room facilities are pretty standard for a Japanese business hotel. The room felt a bit dry, and I couldn't find a humidifier in the common areas."
"The room has all the ingredients - single and non-one shoes, pijama-kimono, razor blades, watt sticks, hairdresser etc. all you can imagine. The hotel is quiet, the neighbors are not heard. Staff is friendly and responsive. 10 minutes walk from the Castle Hotel in Osaka with a park, very beautiful. Of course the room is small but it is a feature of many rooms in Japan"
"The sheets and duvet covers caused an allergic reaction and itchiness. During my 5-night stay, the garbage bags and towels were replaced, and the sign indicated bathroom cleaning would be done, but it wasn't. For 5 nights, the bathroom wasn't cleaned, and the hair on the floor was quite unpleasant. If you're tired from sightseeing and sleep past 11 AM the next day, the trash and towels won't be changed, but you can leave dirty ones outside, and they will be replaced. The location is decent, but the nearest subway isn't convenient for getting to Shinsaibashi and Umeda. People who say it's a short walk to Shinsaibashi must be serious hikers; for normal people, especially with kids, it's very tiring, particularly when returning at night. We mostly took taxis, which cost less than 2000 JPY, which was acceptable. The upside is the good restaurants nearby; I recommend the yakitori place. I don't recommend the Western restaurant; the female staff were awful – they provided obsequious, smiling service to Japanese guests but were rude to others. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water, but it's available at the 18th-floor reception, along with freshly ground coffee and vending machines. Luggage storage is on the 1st floor. The first time I had an issue and went to the front desk, they knew they needed to go downstairs to swipe my card but didn't, instead telling me to scan an IC card with my phone. That didn't work, so I went up a second time, and another young lady instinctively took the card downstairs and swiped it for me, and it worked. This aspect of the experience was not great."
"Kitahama is pretty quiet at night. There are only two elevators, so you might have to wait during peak hours, but it's usually not for too long. One early morning, some guests were talking loudly in the hallway, which was annoying. The breakfast selection isn't huge, and the taste is just so-so. They do have an electronic scale to weigh your luggage, which is handy."
"The hotel's location is superb. It's a convenient 3-5 minute walk to Osakajokoen JR Station, making it easy to get anywhere. There's an elevator inside the station that goes directly to the exit. After exiting, you walk about a hundred meters along a corridor to another elevator that takes you to ground level. Cross a small bridge and an intersection, and you're at the hotel. This is incredibly convenient if you have large luggage. The hotel is situated on the northeast side of Osaka Castle Park, by a small bridge, so you can easily stroll along the castle moat anytime. Shopping and dining are also very convenient. Cross the overpass from the park's south exit, and you'll find Q's Mall. There are also countless restaurants if you walk to Kyobashi Station (and along the way). For airport transfers, take the JR line to Tennoji, then transfer to the JR Loop Line (red), and it's just six stops to Osakajokoen Station.
The hotel's cleanliness and facilities are excellent, especially the soundproofing – it's very quiet. The mattress and pillows are just right, providing a great sleeping environment. The hotel service is highly professional, from the front desk and restaurant to the lobby and concierge. The breakfast is a rich blend of Western and Japanese styles (though the coffee was a bit weak). I stayed for seven nights in total and had a fantastic experience."
"The room was a bit small, but it was very clean and tidy! The front desk offers self-service check-in/out, and toiletries are available on the first floor. There's also a lounge where you can grab a coffee. The hotel's highlight is its hot spring, which comes with complimentary popsicles, Yakult, and late-night ramen. There are several baths, including an open-air one, which was very relaxing. After a soak, you can grab a popsicle with various flavors. The hotel breakfast was quite extensive, and the udon noodles and sashimi were delicious. Overall, it's a hotel with good value for money."
"My stay here was absolutely fantastic. The hotel was spotless and well-maintained, with spacious and comfortable rooms equipped with all the necessary amenities. The front desk and staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making both check-in and check-out a breeze. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of transport options and dining choices nearby. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit and highly recommend it to everyone! A special thanks to the hotel staff for their incredible help. From pre-arrival communication to handling requests during my stay, everything was incredibly prompt, making my entire trip much more relaxing and enjoyable. Their service is professional yet personal, truly making you feel at home."
"This was our second stay at this hotel, and we booked a larger room, but we were very disappointed. We checked in at 2 PM, and upon entering the room, we found that the fans in the bathroom and toilet weren't working and there was no ventilation. We immediately contacted the front desk. The front desk staff tried it with a piece of paper and confirmed there was no ventilation, so they offered to switch our room. After waiting for about ten minutes, no one came, so I went to the front desk again. After waiting a bit there, I was told that the previous person was already waiting in the room. When I returned to our room, they gave us a new room card. I asked the front desk to wait and test if the fan in the new room was working, and indeed, the fan in the second room wasn't working either. The hotel then sent two more people, who kept testing with a single-ply tissue, claiming there was a little bit of ventilation. The shower stall is completely enclosed, and we're not allowed to open the bathroom door while showering for fear of triggering the fire alarm. What if someone faints in the shower stall while showering, would the hotel be responsible? I mentioned that the ventilation in the room we stayed in the first time was excellent. After waiting a bit longer, they took us to the room we had stayed in during our first visit. The bathroom ventilation was very good, so we moved into that smaller room. I asked if there would be compensation for the room downgrade, and the hotel said they would consult with management and let us know. The whole ordeal took over two hours. Finally, the front desk informed us that they would refund 200 yuan for the room downgrade. This was the first time we've encountered such a situation. The hotel should ensure that all room facilities are in perfect working order before guests check in. After all that hassle, for over two hours, they only refunded the price difference for the room downgrade, without any additional compensation. We will definitely not be booking this hotel again in the future."

Amazing
XXiaonengtwAn absolutely wonderful stay! The location is fantastic, right next to Exit 1A of Yotsubashi Station, and just a few minutes' walk straight to Shinsaibashi Station. It's incredibly convenient for transport yet surprisingly quiet. There's a Torikizoku right opposite, so dining options are great. While the room wasn't huge, there was more than enough space to open two suitcases. All the facilities were excellent, and the shower drainage was incredible – no matter how strong the water pressure, not a single drop overflowed! The breakfast was exquisite, with a great variety, and they refilled dishes very promptly. The front desk service was attentive and thoughtful; when I had a small issue, a front desk attendant arrived at my room within a minute, even though it was almost 1 AM. I'm very grateful for their help! Highly recommend!
KKIM 흥This capsule hotel near Nankai Namba Station in Osaka is fantastic. The room is very cozy, and the environment is clean and tidy. It's well-equipped with all the facilities you need. Plus, it's super convenient for shopping, with convenience stores, drugstores, and fruit shops right outside. Highly recommend it to everyone!
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right outside the JR station and a 5-minute walk from Universal Studios Japan's entrance. There's a convenience store and shops downstairs – a perfect choice. We even went back to the hotel to rest when it got too hot at Universal Studios, then re-entered in the evening to continue the fun. After a long day of walking, a relaxing bath and soak at the top floor spa in the evening was exactly what we needed to unwind. Everything was perfect, except for the crowds – too many people at breakfast and in the showers.
奔奔跑吧 少女I had a great stay, and I would especially like to thank X Xiang for the outstanding service. X Xiang was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made me feel truly welcome throughout my stay.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the excellent service from X Xiang made the experience even better. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.
AAhwuWhat we found especially charming was that all the amenities were displayed in the lobby and were free for guests to take. They had everything you could possibly need—even face masks, which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere felt more like a modern student accommodation than a traditional hotel, which we really enjoyed. The staff were friendly, the rooftop bar was fantastic, and bike rentals were available. They also had a cafeteria-style common area with a coffee machine, microwaves, and water dispensers, making it the perfect place to enjoy food from the convenience store. Overall, it was a 10/10 stay, and we'd happily stay here again.
YyxineI stayed for a night in this hostel recently when I needed to catch an early ride to the airport from the train station. The location is superbly central and also easy to find thanks to the giant strawberry above the entrance.
The dorm environment was quiet during my stay here and everything was very clean. The aircon was cold but the warm comforter ensured a great night’s sleep. Both shampoo and bath gel are available in the shower room and after staying in about ten different hotels and hostels during my trip, I must say that the scent of the gel here is my favourite!
The dormitories is located on the third floor with no elevators so it may be daunting for the physically dis-inclined, especially after a typical long day of walking everywhere in Japan. All in all, I’d give this hostel 5 stars for it’s high ‘CP value’.
TTrisha EmiliaThe location is conveniently located between shinsaibashi and namba station. It is not too noisy and crowded in the area. Location was amazing for shopping, whenever we had too much to carry we would head back to drop everything off and take a quick rest. There are many great food options nearby like ichiran, okonomiyaki ajinoya hoten, onigiri gorichan, gyukatsu motomura and idaten. The room had ample space for our 4 huge luggages and 3 cabin luggages. The room might be slightly dark but there is sunlight in the morning. The toilet bowl, bathtub/shower area and sink is in individual rooms. It may be convenient or inconvenient for some. However for the room we stayed in, we struggled to find areas to hang our clothes while showering as there was no hooks to hang them in the shower area. The soundproofing is not the best but not too noisy. The hotel breakfast is great! I loved the corn soup, rice, curry and their eggs. Their croissant is fragrant and tasty too. They had a wide spread of salad that rotates. They had salmon avocado salad, wagyu beef salad and pork with carrot sauce salad (my favourite). They had yogurt and fruits too. They also had a small gym and a lounge with a pool table.
GGuest UserThis is my second time going to this hotel as my first experience was so good. I went solo this time round and I was impressed by it again.
Superb location as it is walkable distance to Dotonbori and Kuromon Market and Namba area and Nipponbanshi station. Staff are super friendly. The bread and drinks for breakfast was so good and convenient. Will always recommend this to anyone who is going to Osaka on a trip :)
And I am planning to come back to this hotel again while booking my next trip to Osaka now for June.
GGuest UserLocation: If you're coming from Kansai Airport, taking the Nankai Rapid Express to Namba and then dragging your luggage to the hotel is a bit of a trek, about 1km I'd say? I heard taking the bus is better. But the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. Just 100 meters outside, you're in the busiest area of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Every day after exploring, you can just step downstairs and enjoy all sorts of delicious food.
Room: The room isn't huge, but I could half-open my 28-inch suitcase. Although it's a bit older, it's very clean! The only issue is that the curtains don't block out the light completely, so I was woken up by the sunlight in the morning. I should have worn an eye mask.
Breakfast: It's alright, enough to fill you up. If you're rushing out to explore every day, it's worth booking. The restaurant isn't very big and can get crowded sometimes. A big plus is that children under 12 eat for free!
Service: My room was right opposite the linen room, but I stayed for 3 nights and didn't hear a single sound from the staff, which was impressive! I couldn't use WeChat Pay for the washing machine, so I called the front desk to complain. To my surprise, a staff member proactively came to my room to help me operate it. When it still didn't work, they went back and forth to help me resolve the issue.
Surroundings: Many reviews mentioned the red-light district at night. I also brought my 12-year-old daughter, and we came back very late every night, but we found it to be fine. This area is very lively; there are still many people out and about at midnight. You can find places like a century-old oden stand and the popular white chicken broth ramen, as well as convenience stores and Don Quijote. I'm very satisfied!
Downside: There are too few washing machines.
HHeiressjloThe room itself is well maintained and the facilities are common basic ones that I need as a solo female traveler. It a 5 minute walk to Juso Station and a lot of convenience store around. They have a coin laundry machine as well so it was easier to wash clothes when I needed it. All additional things that you need such as toiletries are also readily available at the lobby area. And the best part was the free breakfast!
