While I had no complaints about the hotel, those arriving by car should be aware of the parking. The reservation website also mentions paid parking, but I didn't receive the details until the day of check-in. I received the following email just before check-in: If I had known in advance that a parking fee of up to 2,400 yen would be charged, I would have considered other hotels with free parking. Since a parking fee of up to 2,400 yen seems quite high compared to the room rate, I wish they would make it more reasonable by opening a partner parking lot.
■Parking
・Matsubara Park Parking Lot (public)
・1 day (starting at midnight) 1,200 yen
・Free entry and exit for up to 2 hours → 1,200 yen the next day for parking after 22:01 → 2,400 yen (2 days) for parking until 21:59

We stayed here for my boyfriend's birthday trip.
He became ill on the way to the hotel, so they quickly changed our dinner to in-room dining.
We also requested a surprise cake, and they took his condition into consideration and served it with breakfast the next morning, which was a great help.
We were truly moved by the staff's courteous and warm service, as well as their attentive attention to detail.
Thank you again for your flexibility in accommodating our irregular request.
This is a hotel I've always admired, so I was very happy to have stayed here.
We will definitely stay again. Thank you.

The staff were very friendly and it was a comfortable stay.
The room was spacious and clean, but I wish there was a choice of Western food for breakfast instead of just Japanese.
It was a fun time. Thank you.

We stayed as a couple in their 50s and their son and his wife. Dinner was served in the dining area, and the hot dishes were kept warm. The portions were generous, the flavor was great, and the all-you-can-drink alcohol was a delight for heavy drinkers.
The breakfast buffet was also satisfying, with the option to grill dried fish at the table. The location is right in front of the ocean, and the view from our room was great. There was also an open-air hot spring bath, so we were able to relax while looking out at the sea. Overall, we were satisfied for the price. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that there was no air conditioning in the corridors we used to move around, which was quite hot in this heatwave. Even after washing off the sweat in the bath, we were drenched in sweat by the time we got back to our room.
(The air conditioning in the rooms was comfortable.)

I had planned to go to Izu for a day trip, but ended up staying overnight because the place was bigger than I expected. Dinner and breakfast were buffet style. The yukatas available for rent come in a wide variety of patterns, and just looking at them makes your heart flutter. There is also a game corner and other play areas, so it will surely be fun even if you come with a large group.

The environment is nice, clean, and hygienic. There's no turndown service. It's right by the sea, so you can go for a walk in the evening. There are quite a few people fishing on the pier. There were a few insects near the hot spring in the room, probably because there's a mountain behind the hotel, but I managed to catch a few bigger ones! 💪 The sunset was beautiful, and lying in bed at night, I could even see the moon from my childhood! The photos are straight from the camera, unedited. The parking lot isn't at the hotel, which is inconvenient, and there's a lot of traffic when crossing the road. 😂
All rooms offer an ocean view! We feature tatami mat flooring throughout the entire building, made of 4,000 tatami mats. Authentic Japanese style beachside inn.
GGuest User2025.03.15
The room has its own open-air hot spring and you can see the sea. Because it is on the Nishi-Izu coast, the scenery is beautiful in the evening. We chose two meals and one night, and ordered children's meals for the children in advance. The portions were very large and we couldn't finish them at all. There was an old lady among the hotel staff. She brought the dishes up one by one and could communicate with us in English.
You can choose your own yukata on the first floor of the hotel, and children are charged separately.
The hotel is next to the Toi Gold Mine, where you can go and experience gold panning, which is very interesting.
In addition, if you bring children, choose a double room and pay an additional 700 yen for the child to make the bed after arrival.

The tatami experience is very good and the room is very clean! Not at the beach but very close to the sea. B1 can play table tennis

Amazing
11002021962Perfect! Words can't describe our experience. It was simply beautiful, showcasing the best of Japan: courtesy, cleanliness, meticulous attention to detail, and exquisite cuisine.
This is the hometown of the Izu Dancer, and wasabi is cultivated right down the mountain.
The hotel told a story about wasabi from beginning to end...
CChriswrThis small and beautiful hotel is opened by an old couple. It is very close to the white wall traditional hot spring villa where we first lived. The day we arrived at our check-in was already around 6:20 in the evening. After checking in, Grandma asked us what time to prepare dinner, because I booked one berth and two meals. The dinner part is still a bit looking forward to opening a blind box, there are grilled fish burned on the stove, various local side dishes, sashimi, miscellaneous grains, rice, and tempura. When we thought it was about to end, there were buckwheat noodles and fruits. It was really round after round. The room was very simple. After eating a good meal, Grandma has helped to lay the bed. When I went back to the room to change clothes, I went to the soup. The one who stayed on the same day should have a room for us. I enjoyed the hot spring pool. The next morning, I had a table for traditional breakfast. After eating a good meal, Grandma drove us to the nearby bus stop Tangdao Station. The overall stay is still very cost-effective, recommended
AamyuqlOur room was a bit of a walk from the main area, but it was sparkling new. It came with a private in-room onsen, and there were also public baths, plus additional private reservable options. The 'Star' and 'Moon' themed baths were quite good, but having our own private bath in the room was the absolute best. For dinner, we were served exquisite Kaiseki cuisine, and breakfast offered a choice between Japanese and Western styles. The shops along the onsen street tend to open quite late and close relatively early. The location is great, not far from the Bamboo Forest Path and Shuzenji Temple.
ZZero569This Dormy Inn hotel maintains its signature style. There are seven private onsen on the 4th floor, and a public bath on the top floor, making for a truly wonderful hot spring experience. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a good variety of food that is refilled promptly. In the evenings, there's complimentary ramen, and after a soak, free cold drinks. In the mornings, you can enjoy free Yakult. The service and staff attitude are also excellent. Getting to the hotel from Shuzenji Station is easy on bus C10, or if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will cost under 1500 JPY. It's definitely worth staying for two days to relax and enjoy the hot springs.
GGuest UserThis is a high-end resort hotel that combines traditional Japanese style with modern services. The hotel covers a large area and has villas and Japanese-style rooms. The area is very large and all built along the river. It used to be a high-end place for celebrities in Tokyo, Japan to vacation, gather and relax. There are many buildings and old objects from decades ago. Both the indoor hot springs and public hot springs are good. The outdoor hot spring can deeply feel the hotel's business philosophy and the deep integration of man and nature.
IItt-KoyArai Ryokan, built in 1872, is a luxurious ryokan with 31 Japanese style guest rooms are located in various private cottages. Its 15 wooden structures are registered as the national cultural assets. Many Japanese celebrated artists made frequent visit and the big art collection is housed in the ryokan. A wooden bridge leads to the guest rooms which overlook either the river or the courtyard with its large pond full of carp. Arai Ryokan’s traditional Japanese cuisine kaiseki served features local fresh seafood and vegetable of each season.
LLIHUAHotel location is good, very close to Xiushan Temple, Bamboo Forest Trail. There are 7 floors, which are considered high in local hotels.
There is a forest behind the hotel and the air is nice.
The old lady at the front desk was very kind and friendly in English.
Dining is a VIP room in each section, you can enjoy the food quietly.
Open air, go out on the fifth floor. The scale is not very large, connected to the mountains. An appointment is required. The time for soaking is 45 minutes. The time is up before people feel truly relaxed.
Breakfast time is earlier and I want to go back and rest after eating. The tatami beds have been put away. Check-out time is 10:30 in the morning, guests can't leave, and then clean up. Not very humane.
YYiyepianzhouhuajingtaoThis is a very comfortable resort and spa hotel. It has a huge footprint and a typical American hotel style. The rooms are comfortable, and the balconies come with private hot spring baths that are kept at a constant temperature 24/7 with flowing hot water. It's a wonderful blend of Japanese onsen culture – meticulous yet incredibly relaxing – allowing you to enjoy a hot spring experience without even leaving your room. The breakfast is just standard for a five-star hotel, nothing as impressive as what you'd find at a Japanese hotel. The hotel is quite far from Shuzenji Station, but thankfully there's a shuttle bus available at platform 8 of the bus terminal.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Laforet Shuzenji Sanshisuimei. Overall, the experience was excellent and very relaxing.
I booked the Mt. Fuji Side Hot Spring Open-air Bath room, and it was absolutely worth it. The room was very spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Having a private onsen bath in the room made the stay feel extra special. Soaking in the open-air bath while enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings was truly unforgettable.
The location is tucked away in the mountains, which makes it perfect for those who value privacy, tranquility, and a quiet escape from the city. However, it may not be ideal for travelers looking for a highly convenient or easily accessible location. I drove there and would strongly recommend doing so. Complimentary parking is available, which made the trip very convenient.
One small note for future guests: toothbrushes are not provided in the room and need to be purchased at check-in, so it’s good to prepare in advance.
The only minor issue during my stay was that the temperature control for the private onsen bath in my room was not functioning perfectly. It would be great if this could be improved. That said, it did not take away from the overall enjoyment of the stay.
Overall, it was a fantastic and rejuvenating experience. I would definitely consider returning for another peaceful getaway.
MMic890This hotel is located in uphill. It is difficult to walk up to the hotel, better to plan your itinerary with free shuttle schedule. The free shuttle bus schedule stored in the hotel website but the file I couldn’t able to download. You can call the hotel for details. The hotel facilitates are good but every single spot are not walking distance. It is suggested to buy some snacks/food before going up to the hotel. If you play golf, they have a view of Mt Fuji.
The staff here are polite and willing to answer your questions.
