"We checked in around 2 PM and were welcomed by super helpful and friendly counter staff. The check-in process was smooth, easy, and fast. We stayed in the family room which comfortably accommodated 5 adults, and all the basic amenities provided were sufficient for our stay. The WiFi was not the strongest, but still acceptable. The facilities were great. Even though the building is old, it is well maintained and has a charming heritage feel. It was very convenient to have a convenience store, gift shop, reflexology service, and beca service within the hotel area. There is also a Korean restaurant right next to the hotel. The location is very strategic, with walking distance access to the historical attractions around George Town. We also enjoyed the breakfast at the rooftop restaurant on Level 7, which costs around RM28 per person. The food was enjoyable overall. One point for improvement would be the salad, as the vegetables did not seem fresh during our visit. It would also be great if they could add one more type of fruit selection. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again."

"We arrived at the hotel on August 3rd, early in the morning, and were warmly welcomed by a lovely and friendly female staff member. 😍😍😍 She arranged for us to check into room 4325. Although there was a language barrier, we managed to communicate simply using our phones 😀😀😀😀, and she assigned us to a room we were happy with. We had originally booked a windowless room, but the kind staff member offered to upgrade us to a room with a window for free. 😊🥰🥰🥰. However, upon entering the room, there were no toothbrushes. So, we went down to the lobby, and the kind staff member immediately provided us with some. But then, on the second night, after returning to the hotel from our activities, housekeeping still hadn't replenished the toothbrushes. With no other option, we went back to the front desk to ask for them. It was quite embarrassing. The male staff member there had no issues and immediately provided them to us. 😁😁 Since we only discovered the missing amenities late at night after returning to the hotel, on the third day, we went to the front desk to pick them up around noon. However, the staff member with glasses wearing a white uniform had a very bad attitude today. He said the room should have amenities and refused to give us any. As a result, when we went back to our room, it hadn't even been cleaned, let alone having the amenities replenished. Actually, these are minor issues, but since the hotel booking stated that amenities would be provided, we didn't bring our own. It's already quite embarrassing to have to go down to the lobby every time we return to our room and find no amenities. And that male staff member in the white uniform even gave us a look and had a terrible attitude. I'm actually very satisfied with the hotel's convenient location and the attitude of the general staff, and I was very happy. Although one staff member's attitude made me very unhappy and felt as if they were looking down on people. I hope the hotel realizes that if a customer needs amenities, and the hotel itself has failed to replenish them, and the customer isn't asking for extra, then their attitude should be a bit better. And they should still maintain a smile!"

"Had a wonderful experience at Swing and Pillow! The place is clean, comfortable, and has a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. A special thanks to Rashid for being very cooperative, respectful, and professional throughout our stay. His kind attitude and excellent service made the experience even better. "I had a truly satisfying experience. First, let's talk about the location. There's a night market right downstairs. For breakfast, there's an excellent coffee shop nearby that serves Kaya toast and local specialties at reasonable prices – perfect for a morning meal. The night market offers a great variety of local food options for dinner, which is a fantastic experience. The hotel is also conveniently located for exploring all the attractions in George Town, whether you choose to walk or take a Grab. Now, a special mention for the hotel itself. Everything from the ambiance, room layout, and especially the concierge service and the professionalism of the staff, was outstanding. Although the rooms show their age, they are incredibly clean, well-maintained, and smartly designed. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I highly recommend booking here. "This hotel, run by a Chinese owner, is surrounded by everything you need: a laundry room, night market, and great food are all nearby. Check-in was convenient and quick, and the staff's attitude was excellent. They replace the towels daily and provide a bottle of water. The quadruple room was spacious enough. The air conditioning was very strong, and there were two power outlets and two USB ports. Each bed also came with a fan and a privacy curtain. The hot water in the bathroom was incredibly plentiful – I was so satisfied! There's a pool that's perfect for photos, I loved it!"

"Light sleepers, beware! This place is a no-go, way too noisy. I could hear every footstep from upstairs, people talking outside, but the worst was the constant slamming of doors. All night long, it was 'BANG!' every single time, loud enough to wake me up even when I'd finally drifted off. Maybe it was because of the holiday crowd, but there were people coming and going non-stop, even past midnight. It only started to quiet down around 1:30 AM, when I could finally get some sleep. Oh, and the air conditioning wasn't cold either. 🥲🥲"

"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. They offer many complimentary items and services such as free breakfast, iron, washing machines, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair dryer, umbrella, free bicycle rental, and even a shared chiller for guests to use. One extra bonus is that they also provide motorbike rental services, which was very convenient. The free breakfast was surprisingly delicious even though it was complimentary. They also offered both spicy and non-spicy options, so guests can choose according to their preference. Overall, this is a very nice hotel with excellent hospitality and facilities. I would definitely give this hotel 100 marks and highly recommend it to others."

"I booked two rooms with induction cooktops, which was very convenient. I felt like it could even accommodate five or six people at most (just exaggerating, haha!). It's only one or two kilometers from the city center, perfect for a city walk. The lady at the front desk was very beautiful; I wonder if she was Indian. The gym facilities and washing machine are great for families!"

"The room isn't huge, but it was perfect for two people. When I checked in, I asked for a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hotel having a gym and a swimming pool is a huge plus! It's super convenient with a mall next door, and it was so easy to visit all the nearby attractions and try out local food spots – everything was about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to the airport takes about 30 minutes if there's no traffic. I highly recommend this place! There are water dispensers on every floor, which is great for refilling bottles. The bed isn't huge, but it's comfortable enough to sleep on. If I come back to Penang, I'd definitely choose to stay here again."
