I was here for a business trip, so here's my honest review:
1. The views are great, and the service is good too. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, which is a big plus.
2. The room's facilities really lack practicality. Here's why:
a. As shown in picture two, all the hangers are fixed in place. This is really inconvenient for guests who want to hang clothes to dry, and it's rare to find a hotel worldwide where all hangers are fixed.
b. There was no hot water for showering. The water temperature felt barely warmer than if it had been left in the sun; there was no sense of heating at all.
c. You can only shower while standing in the bathtub, but due to a design flaw, a large amount of water flowed down the wall and onto the floor.

Initially, I saw a lot of negative reviews for the rooms. I had originally booked a standard room, but I contacted customer service through the platform. They helped me negotiate an upgrade to a king-size room with a balcony and even compensated me with a refund that covered the price difference for one night. However, right after checking in, the bed in the room was definitely not clean and had hair on it. The airplane noise was also very loud and significantly impacted my sleep quality. The breakfast wasn't great either. If you're particular about these things, I wouldn't recommend booking this hotel.

The hotel is very close to the airport, and it's right on the flight path, so it's noisy all day long. Rooms on the third floor are okay, but the second-floor rooms are absolutely terrible. The walls are peeling and uneven, and there's no soundproofing at all on the second floor; the gaps under the doors are huge. The windows are blinds that don't close properly, so you can hear everything outside. The people in the next room were talking very loudly, then shouting and singing around 2 or 3 AM, making it impossible to sleep. In short, avoid this place!

I was very satisfied with this stay! I was a bit worried when I booked because the hotel was only rated three stars on Ctrip, but it turned out to be incredibly good value for money once I checked in.
1. What impressed me most about the hotel was their warm, smiling service and efficiency. I called the front desk for toiletries and slippers, and in less than a minute, a smiling front desk attendant was at my door with them.
2. For a hotel in this price range, the breakfast offered was very rich and delicious. While it certainly can't compare to a five-star hotel, it was more than good enough.
3. The room was clean and hygienic, the sheets and towels had no stains, and there were pillows of different softness and height, which was very comfortable. The hotel's sheep logo is very memorable; every time it's mentioned, my child says, ”Oh, the hotel with the sheep!”
Many thanks to the hotel staff for their service! This stay was a great experience!

The hotel is an 8/10, but for this price, it's a perfect score!
1. It's quiet. Even though the hotel room door isn't soundproof, the location is great. My second-floor room was very quiet, apart from the occasional dog barking and laughter from the pool.
2. Excellent location, just a 2-minute walk from the Chiang Mai back gate night market.
3. The room is good. The only minor drawback is the poorly designed bathroom door, but for this price, it's not a big deal.
4. The service was excellent; a staff member at the pool proactively helped me with towels.
However, they need to pay more attention to room cleaning. You need to hang the 'make up my room' sign before 2 PM. The cleaner also didn't take the 20 baht I left on the bed.

Good Location. Opposite to Maya Lifestyle Shopping Centre, which is a huge mall that provides all the things you need.
The other side you will find the One Nimman, where good restaurants, shops, food court as well as some pop up stores.
The room is clean and spacious, with a balcony.
There is a swimming pool and gym in the second floor. The pool is not really a outdoor one and the water is freezing cold in the morning. If you want to have sunbath, this is not the one you want.
Breakfast is served at the restarant at the reception floor. Not a super huge one, but general western breakfast is provided, as well as some local specialty, like Khao Soi (Noodle in Curry Soup).
Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

First off, don't book a connecting room – it's smaller than a standard king room. Second, the pool is tiny and not clean. Third, the hotel is incredibly noisy; planes fly overhead until 3 AM! On top of that, the front desk service was very unhelpful. They wouldn't allow a late checkout, and the process for changing rooms when issues arose was ridiculous. Even with vacant rooms, they insisted you check out at 12 PM and then check in to the new room at 2 PM. It's an absurd system.

Here's a breakdown of my stay:
1. **Location:** The hotel's location is decent, right on Nimman Road. It's about a ten-minute walk to One Nimman and Maya Mall. Getting to the airport takes about fifteen minutes. There are set meals, grilled skewers, and Chongqing hot pot available right off the main road, or you can head to the mall or One Nimman for a huge variety of restaurants and great shopping. There's also a lively night market in the evenings.
2. **Cleanliness:** Cleanliness was okay, fairly tidy. The shower had a slight odor, and the water quality was very poor – we had to change the shower head filter every two days.
3. **Room:** We booked two king-size rooms and they were placed next to each other, with a connecting door that could be opened to create a family suite. This was really convenient for staying with kids and elderly family members. The mattress was pretty good and comfortable, but the pillows were just average; they were already flattened and caved in the middle.
4. **Pool:** The pool is on the fourth floor and is open-air. It gets extremely sunny during the day.
5. **Environment:** Located in an alley off the main road, it's relatively quiet. However, the airplane noise is incredibly loud; it felt like we were staying right next to the airport. The air conditioning also generated a fair bit of noise. Earplugs were provided in the room for sleeping.
Overall, for a stay in Chiang Mai, it offers great value for money and is very convenient.

Location: If you're using Gaode Maps, make sure to set the destination to Furama Hotel parking lot! Taxis are very convenient in Chiang Mai. It's about a 10-minute walk to Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center and Nimmanhaemin Road.
Cleanliness: Not good. There were used double eyelid tapes from previous guests, used tissues under the bed, and the bedsheet was torn. On the first night, no towels were provided, and I had to ask the front desk. The room was spacious. They changed the bed linen once during my 4-night stay. It was a bit noisy due to being on the flight path. The shower water temperature was inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold. At ¥220+ per night, it's still acceptable.

GGuest UserA beautiful and unique small luxury hotel. The food at the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant was also delicious. However, it was incredibly noisy. On the second night, there was a party outside the wall late at night, and the guests were still screaming hysterically at midnight 😱. The enclosed terrace where we had an extra bed for the kids was filled with unbearable bird chirping 👍. My ears are oily, and I couldn't keep my earplugs in, making the nights unbearable 😫. (Make sure to avoid booking the innermost row; my room was number 22.) I wouldn't recommend booking for families with children. From 2:00-3:00 PM, I took the kids to play in the pool, and they were complained about for being too noisy 🥶. This is a public area, a playground, and not a sleeping area (it's a time when they're doing renovations and construction). If you want peace and quiet, why not go back to your room?! I came here for a vacation, not to relax. If the hotel is really bothered by noise from children, especially since it wasn't as loud as a midnight party, they should refuse to let families with children stay. Next time, I hope they won't make such unreasonable demands on families with children. I immediately retorted: the children were playing perfectly normally; please ask the white couple who complained to go back to their room, where it would definitely be quiet.
We stayed for three nights, and the restaurant service was excellent throughout. On the night of the Lantern Festival, we invited friends to dinner, and three girls were running around outside. We were chatting and didn't notice 😢, but the waiter skillfully led the wild girls to a play area without complaining. Thumbs up!

在在台灣打枱的女孩The hotel staff is the friendliest I have encountered in visiting hotels in many countries. Everyone is very kind, even the security brother is very nice. When I come back at night and the lights are dim, he will take the initiative to lead the way into the hotel lobby. He also worked hard and often helped us get takeout (＞^ω^＜) The check-in process was very relaxing, and there were welcome drinks upon check-in. My friend also said that the hotel breakfast tasted very good and the overall environment was very clean, making it feel more like being integrated into nature. The only complaint is that it is very close to the airport and there are occasional airplane noises at night. The convenience store is about 3,400 meters from the hotel. It's not far, but you should be careful at night as the street lights are dim.

Clean, pleasant staff, great services, amazing restaurant, chill vibes, and good access to everything you'd want to do in the city.
A really, really enjoyable stay that we'll almost certainly repeat this year, and again in future years. Literally nothing to complain about.
If you've got the time, book the cooking class. Being plant-based, it's rare to have such a wide selection of meals available when eating out, and everything on the menu here is worth trying.
Great to spend time with the head chef and get an insight into how it's all prepared.
As a plus, if you're into live music, there's a little place called Troubadour, only a short walk from the hotel. An awesome way to finish off the day. Really talented group of resident musicians, with a wide selection of guest artists to catch as well.

Location is good for those who like street shopping and street food. Not far from Maya shopping mall. Catching Grabcar during Loy Krathong festival is very challenging. We almost miss our flight. Luckily the hotel staff help us to look for private car.

NNikki liThere are two hotels next to Maya Mall, and this season's pick offers great value for money. Although it's on a flight path, you can barely hear the planes. Nimman One is right across the street. The staff are incredibly friendly and you can easily communicate with them using English and simple Thai. They're so attentive – they wouldn't even let me carry my own luggage, insisting on taking it to my room or bringing it right to me. The lobby has a generous selection of complimentary pastries, water, drinks, and coffee. This place is truly a hidden gem! While there were tiny ants in the room, they were dealt with promptly and it didn't affect my stay at all.

GGuest UserA hotel with a lot of heart! For our honeymoon, I emailed the hotel, and they prepared a small cake and welcome fruit. The French style is very strong, and it's close to Maya and One Nimman. I really loved it. As a gesture of goodwill, I brought some small plush keychains for the staff, and they replied with a handwritten note. The overall feeling was really great and comfortable. We stayed on the third floor, further inside, and it wasn't noisy at all. It's a Chinese-friendly hotel and even has CCTV.

GGuest UserI love creating reviews and social content — especially about ryokan-style stays and onsen experiences. There may be more ryokans in Thailand now, but when a friend recommended Chez Nij Ryokan Onsen, I was genuinely impressed from the moment I arrived.
The blend of Thai, Japanese, and French influences is beautifully unique. Even more special is the history — this was once the residence of the former Governor of Chiang Mai. The house is filled with antiques, charm, and character. Stepping inside feels warm, welcoming, and truly homely. The owner, a doctor and grandson of the former governor, personally cares for guests and shared meaningful stories about the residence — an honor I won’t forget.
Location-wise, it’s peaceful yet convenient. Nimmanhaemin Road is only 8 minutes away, perfect for dining and shopping. Even returning around 1 AM, the owner and night manager were still there to welcome me. The alley is well lit, quiet, and safe, with another hotel and a tennis court next door. A 7-Eleven is just a 5-minute walk away on the main road.
I stayed in the Studio Room with onsen access — incredibly private and peaceful. The tatami design is beautiful, the bed unbelievably soft, and the air quality excellent (my usual dust allergies improved after just one night). The complimentary minibar was a lovely bonus. Direct onsen access from the room is available in the morning only. During female and male sessions, the private door is securely locked and entry is through the changing room — a very safe and thoughtful system.
The open-air onsen is stunning — inspired by the winter sea of Hokkaido and said to be one of the largest in Chiang Mai. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are outstanding. The mineral water left my skin noticeably smoother and deeply hydrated, unlike other onsens I’ve tried. The schedule is very well organized, with separate time slots and thorough cleaning between sessions. I checked in at 3 PM and immediately enjoyed the women’s session. After 5:30 PM, guests are asked to leave for routine cleaning and to dry off properly to prevent slipping — a clear reflection of their commitment to safety and hygiene. Soaking at 7:30 AM in the cool morning air truly felt like having a private hot spring.
Breakfast is served as a generous full set — so abundant I couldn’t finish it all — yet the staff still offered more. Everything was delicious, and the chef personally came to serve and chat, adding such a thoughtful touch. In the evening, a complimentary mini tea set (9–10 PM) made the stay even more charming.
I wrote this from the heart to reflect the genuine care I received. It was absolutely worth it, and I’m so glad I followed my friend’s recommendation. I’ll definitely return to Chez Nij whenever I’m back in Chiang Mai.

Then, she said, “No, you have to wait until 14:00”. Immediately after her response, the male staff approached me and processed it. He also allowed me to change room without any charge and to store my luggage in the room, instead of the designated area.
Room: For those who like 80s-90s vibe, this is for you, and me too. The AC is loud and cleaned. The ceiling, on the other hand, has strains from water. The curtain has a strain that looks like either blood or coffee. The wall looks unpolished, creating a running down impression of the hotel. The socket, TV, lift, and fridge are functional, fortunately. 2 bottles of water are set by the hotel standard. Please clean up those strains and walls.
Bathroom: It contains dusts on the ventilation fan’s cover. There is mold strain on the wall that could be mistaken as black mold initially. Please clean up it as it could evolve to such in the future.
Location: Not far away from the pubs, so music can get loud inside the room as it has poor soundproof. Unless you don’t mind the sound, or want to stay away from the city centre, go for it.

OOu BorwornsinI stayed at B2 Resort Chiang Mai and had an overall decent experience. The building looks a bit old and could use some renovation, especially in the exterior areas. However, the room was acceptable for a short stay and provided the basic necessities.
One thing to note is that there is no complimentary drinking water provided in the room, but you can conveniently purchase bottled water at the reception desk.
The location is quite convenient, especially if you’re planning to travel outbound to Bangkok or other provinces, as it offers easy access to main roads. It’s a suitable option for travelers looking for a budget-friendly place to stay for a short trip.
Overall, it’s a reasonable choice if you prioritize convenience and affordability over modern facilities.
