"A homestay full of luxury. When you arrive, someone will come to pick you up and help you carry your luggage. You will be attracted by it as soon as you pass by the door. The courtyard is very beautiful, and there is a feeling of quietness in the hustle and bustle. It is very comfortable. The breakfast is very rich, and there is also delicious afternoon tea. Lying on the sofa at the door of the room to enjoy afternoon tea 🍵, it feels very comfortable. The room facilities are very good, and the details are full. Living here is really comfortable. Finally, thank the housekeeper Ah Rui, who answered all questions and answered all questions seriously. He also enthusiastically recommended how to visit attractions. If you're driving, parking is available in the Intercontinental Hotel's underground garage, just a 3-minute walk away. The hotel service was truly outstanding; from check-in to check-out, we consistently felt the genuine warmth and enthusiasm of every staff member. The attention to detail was impeccable, evident in everything from the delightful afternoon tea and complimentary in-room drinks and fruit, to the essential amenities provided. We were particularly delighted to find lip balm among the toiletries, which is incredibly useful for travelers at high altitudes – a truly pleasant surprise! The accommodation was peaceful, and the breakfast spread was excellent and varied. There were so many wonderful aspects to our stay; we absolutely look forward to our next visit!"

When my friend realized she had forgotten her passport on the airplane, it was such a relief to have his assistance in getting it back. It truly showed his kindness. We also appreciated him letting us use the washing machine to take care of our clothes. Overall, it felt like a home away from home."

"It was a very satisfying travel experience. After booking the homestay, the hotel's friends helped me prepare a guide in advance and reminded us of the precautions. It was really considerate. After checking in, they also helped me upgrade the room for free and gave me free tastings of local flower cakes and Pu'er tea. The hotel environment is good and the service is warm. "Large courtyards are rare among B&Bs in Lijiang Old Town. The layout, design, decoration, and utensils are comfortable and elegant, clean and hygienic, and are eye-catching (Pictures 2 to 10). The accommodation includes breakfast, and the breakfast is rich in variety (Picture 1) and of good quality. The boss was warm and hospitable. On the day we checked in, he changed us to a larger room for free. On the second day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, he invited the guests to have a dinner with their families and staff for a happy gathering. Leave on the third day and arrange a vehicle to be sent to the airport. Thank you to the boss and his family and the brothers and sisters in the store for their warm reception and service. We will come back to Lijiang; we will stay at Zhao Mansion again!"

"The house of Qihexuan Inn is antique, and the small courtyard is exquisite and fresh. The inn is about 100 meters away from the southeast gate of the ancient city. It is very close. The location is very good. It is quiet and not noisy at night. The boss is very enthusiastic. We stayed at Qihexuan on New Year's Eve this year. After spending time, the boss gave the child red envelopes and fireworks, and the child was very happy."

"I booked a hotel in advance when I came to Lijiang. The boss is very nice. He will contact you in advance and tell you the precautions. The room is very clean and tidy, and it is also very large. There is a bathtub and red wine glasses in it. It is very romantic. There is a perfect small courtyard. Three or five friends can drink tea and chat, and enjoy the breeze. It is very comfortable. GGuest UserEverything about this place, from location to hospitality, is amazing! The homestay arranged to pick us up at an intersection and carried our luggages all the way.
The sound proofing of the rooms are not that good though, so a word of caution for light sleepers.
During our stay, 小李 took really good care of us, never failed to ask what we intended to do on each day, provided help and suggestionsto us on what to do. We started and ended each day chatting with him. 😊
On our check out day, we had to leave at 6.30am to Shangri-La and 小李 woke up to help us with our luggages and waited with us till our driver came! We could not thank him enough and appreciate him going all the way to help us.
We had a wonderful 5-day stay and Lijiang made an impression on us. We definitely recommend anyone to stay there..

There aren’t many restaurants nearby, but food delivery is available, and the hotel also offers convenient shuttle service to the Old Town if needed. The afternoon tea was delightful, and the breakfast was equally delicious. The entire hotel is beautifully designed with great attention to detail—an elegant and thoughtfully crafted space overall.

-The people running the place are very friendly and helpful. They helped us with every request including pre-booking car rides/transfers/day trip etc. We used data-esim so we do not have a local mobile#. We contacted inn before arriving via wechat and was able to arrange complimentary train pickup service. The staff helped carry our luggage to/from the transport points up/down cobbled slope to the Inn's lobby. The staff were all very helpful and patient with us (first time travellers to China). Thank you!
-Family room is clean and spacious, equipped with 智能管家 AI voice-operated facilities and DYSON hair-dryer. Room has big glass windows which let in natural life and view of Old Town.
-Breakfast is local porridge, picked vegetables, eggs, rice noodles 米线

There are restaurants and convenience store within steps from the INN. To get to the Old Town's center where they are more food options is a down cobbled stone path 10-15mins walk. After that, it is the same way up slope to get back. Alternatively, it is to take a 5mins walk up cobbled path to the car drop-off point (Lion Head Lookout point), then walk via stairs/path down or call a DiDi. We tried both ways. Twice, the DiDi we were in were not allowed up the drive way by the security guarding the road up the Lion Head. Only registered cars are allowed in so we had to get off and walk.
The location is both a pro and a con especially if you have elderly or very young travelling companions.

The accommodation is in an excellent location. It is also home to one of the most beautiful-view cafés in Lijiang. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants and shopping spots, providing great convenience. Despite its central location, the rooms are quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay.
They respond to messages very quickly, and you can communicate any requests during your stay in Lijiang. They provide free pick-up and drop-off service at the high-speed railway station. Additionally, they assist with handling all your luggage from check-in to check-out, which is especially helpful since Lijiang’s stone-paved streets make rolling suitcases inconvenient. They also arrange airport transfers and a one-day tour to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, including a show, at a reasonable price. The vehicles used for transportation are of high quality.
Especially Xiao Su and Xiao Yang, who provided us with professional service and excellent arrangements, making our vacation in Lijiang absolutely perfect. We received service beyond our expectations in every aspect. The internet connection was highly efficient, allowing my husband to work seamlessly while staying here.
On the day we checked out, we had the opportunity to take a photo with Xiao Su. She and her team warmly saw us off to our car, making our departure just as memorable as our stay.

1. They offer pick us from train station for free
About 30 minutes we arriving at higher ground with busy car surrounding, then suddenly there are few people took our luggage and ask us to follow them, later we know i think that’s the laoban and the hotel’s stuff who brought our heavy luggage🙏
2. The hotel itself located in old town, yet still easy to reach by didi/ taxi. We arriving at beautiful wooden house, and they offers us welcoming tea. So quite inside the house, with many stairs. They brought our luggage into our room ( so need to worry to drags your luggage all the way to old town, without knowing exactly where the place is, just sit and relax😎).
3. We love our rooftop room😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
My daughter also love to play robox outside😑. “Playing with the view,” She said.

Even though we cant speak mandarin, they put us into we chat group so if we need anything we can ask them🙏many thanks for that, we even chat them to arrange private driver for us the at 11 pm, and they still can manage it with reasonable price. We ask them for a lot of thinga😅 we even ask for where to eat, where to buy coffee. We follow all their suggestion. We ate the rice noodle twice😍. We bought the coffee and raw honey in the shop that stuff recommend to us.
We really like Lijiang and this old town, very interesting old town. I saw some reels saying dont visit old town during the day time, visit during the night time. Since i am a morning person, i didnt understand at the beginning, but then just walk 5 minutes downhill from the hotel and you can see many clubs in the old town😜😜😜. At morning time, we can see the Yulong mountain from our roof top if not cover by clouds, veryyyyy quiteeee not many shops open, like the ghost town, but during the night time, the ghost goes to party. Thank you for your hospitality during our stay.

Llittle-cloudWe stayed at Stone Hotel 石头厝 for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! I am so glad we discovered it after searching on Trip.com for quite a while. We were looking for a hotel in Lijiang that is quiet and peaceful, with views of Yulong Snow Mountain, and has the modern comforts of a luxurious boutique hotel.
The hotel is located outside of Lijiang town, approximately 30-40min drive, and right next to Yuhu Village. If we needed to go anywhere, the hotel provides a car drop-off service in a luxurious MPV. It’s also easy to call a car on DiDi.
The room is beautifully designed with elements of copper and wood, blending modern and traditional. The bed and pillows are among the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my travels. Being a city girl, I’m delighted with the Dyson hairdryer, Marshall speaker, and Aesop hand soap! The free mini fridge is stocked with beer, Perrier sparkling water, soft drinks, and if not enough, just pop over to the restaurant where the fridge and fruit bar is open and free all day! The amazing variety of fruits are the sweetest I’ve tasted, all grown locally. Even the nuts are sweet, I think they roast them in some sweet milk. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes but we had hotpot every dinner just because the soup is so delicious and the meats so tender. At dinner, the Naxi brothers will drink a toast and sing for every guest as their way of welcoming the guests and treating them as friends. If you dare to, try their local herbal/fruit alcohol (very strong!) We also love that for breakfast, they serve a selection of local side dishes which we enjoyed trying.
Their concierge/front desk team welcomed us warmly even before arriving (via WeChat), and supported us very well throughout our stay. The whole experience of coordinating airport pickup and booking their various activities and amenities (afternoon tea, evening drink, dinner, car) was seamless and fast. Before going out, the front desk staff always makes sure that we are well equipped for the day with water, umbrella, oxygen, chocolates. All the staff are always happy and friendly, making us feel like we are friends because the service is so personalized. We chatted with many of them and had the chance to learn a little about each of them, their lives and their culture. They know that we love playing with their dogs and the little lamb DuoDuo, and gave us many chances to play with them and even feed little DuoDuo. One can feel that they love their work there.
After leaving, we are still missing little DuoDuo, the amazing staff and warm hospitality, and the comfortable room. I’ve traveled to many places, and this is one of the rare times where I miss the place and the people so much. We highly recommend Stone Hotel 石头厝 to anyone visiting Lijiang! And I hope we have to chance to come back and stay with them again.

CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.

XXiaojiejiedexiaomidiOverall, Banyan Tree is an excellent hotel and highly recommended. Despite its age, the hotel's layout and elegant ambiance are still well-preserved. The staff quality is commendable; general service personnel are polite and greet guests, while dedicated staff are efficient, neat, and professional.
However, given the hotel's age, I noted a few areas for improvement:
1. Indoor furniture requires maintenance; for instance, wardrobe doors should open and close silently.
2. The shower room has an outdoor access door that needs a more secure locking mechanism.
3. There's a ramp at the entrance to the shower area; this should either have a visible warning sign or be proactively mentioned by the butler via WeChat.
4. Some power outlets appear to be retrofitted upgrades; the cut-outs for the flush-mounted boxes are rough, and the panel colors don't match the room's aesthetic, detracting from the overall look.
5. Outdoor equipment installation lacks attention to detail, impacting visual appeal. Examples include exposed pipes, conduits, wires draped under eaves, and oddly placed surveillance cameras.
**Cleanliness:** The room was spotless, a fundamental requirement for any establishment.
**Environment:** The hotel's setting is wonderful, with beautiful, elegant, and stylish garden design.
**Service:** The service was excellent – attentive and thorough, yet never intrusive.
**Facilities:** The facilities are comprehensive, including a dedicated desk, which is very convenient for business travelers or those needing to work on holiday. However, it's evident the hotel is older, showing some signs of age and lacking modern smart features.

GGuest UserThe most surprising thing about this trip to Lijiang is staying at Yipinji B&B! From the moment I stepped into the yard, I was deeply attracted by the strong Naxi style and warm atmosphere here. The decoration of the B&B not only retains the beauty of traditional Naxi architecture, but also incorporates the comfort of modern design. The owner's care can be felt in every detail.
The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and you can see the green tile roofs of the ancient city and the outline of the snow-capped mountains in the distance from the window. The feeling of being gently awakened by the sun in the morning is really healing! The boss and the staff are super enthusiastic. Not only do they help plan the tour route, but they also recommend a lot of local delicacies, so there is no need to worry about stepping on thunder.
What touched me most is that Yipinji is not over-commercialized, but really makes people feel the warmth of ”home”. Sitting in the yard drinking tea at night, listening to the sound of running water, and looking at the starry sky, it seems that time has slowed down. If I come to Lijiang again, I will definitely choose here again!
