"A Hidden Gem – Peaceful, Pet-Friendly, and Exceptionally Hospitable! I cannot say enough wonderful things about my recent stay at this homestay! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The hosts are some of the most thoughtful and caring people I’ve ever met — they truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. One thing that really stood out was how **pet-friendly** the place is. I brought my dog with me, and he was in absolute heaven! He had the freedom to roam around the property, enjoy the open space, and relax just as much as I did. It was such a relief to find a place that treats pets like family — it made the stay even more special. The homestay itself is beautiful— every corner of the space is thoughtfully designed, cozy, and spotless. It has a peaceful charm that makes it feel like a true escape from the noise of everyday life. The surroundings are calm, quiet, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. I spent hours just enjoying the tranquility. Another big plus was the convenience. There are shops and small stores you can order from, so I was able to order anything I needed with ease. The hosts even helped me get some medication- which is something I’ll never forget. Their care and attentiveness made me feel safe and looked after. Every interaction with the hosts was a delight — they were never intrusive, but always available if I needed help. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. They truly made me feel at home. I’m already counting down the days until I can return. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with incredible hosts, pet-friendly freedom, and all the comforts you could ask for, this homestay is an absolute dream. I can't wait to come back and soak in the peace, the kindness, and the beauty all over again. Highly, highly recommended! The breakfast was also very nice- they made us this delicious toasted sandwich."

"Great views from the lobby and from the swimming pool and sauna. Keep in mind that you need a swimming hat for the pool! Also if you think to book this hotel with for great night views, don’t do it. All windows, also at the rooftop bar, will get condensation or something in between or on the outside so you will not see anything.. during the day the views at are great."

"Very cozy and homely definitely my kind of bedroom - so much so that i laze around for half a day before head out. Owner super friendly and welcoming, definitely a Jay chou fans based on the little quotes design added to every corner of the homestay - i like it ! Very thoughtful that they even provide bath bomb and rose petal for bath tub and most importantly earplugs, no more soundproofing issue, what an awesome place to stay but sadly only booked a night ! A secluded hidden gem that i highly recommend."

"Travelled with my parents (two seniors). The entrance to the hotel is at a small street at 凤祥楼. Hotel location is just right next to Yuu Garden (BARELY 1 min walk), and ~ 5min walk from Yu Garden Metro station. The hotel is very accessible to the attractions like Yuu Garden, Shanghai City God temple and Yu Yuan Bazaar. There are also wide range of local food (羊肉串, Xiao Long Bao, Sheng Jian Bao, Cong You Bing etc) and even Macdonald. My parents really enjoyed the close proximity to Yuu Garden and Yu Yuan Bazaar. One can feel the night bustling life outside the hotel as YuYuan old street comes to life as the night falls. Do note that the streets are off limits for 4-wheel vehicles, and Didi / Taxi drivers will drop u slightly away. The service crew are very warm and friendly. Do ask them for access to level 5 for some photo taking too. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. The front desk and service crew team are also very friendly, with great service attitude. In the hotel, there are also free washing machine and dryer for those travelling with families. One will definitely feel the hospitality of the crew and enjoy the location."

"Great Cosy room 30 minutes from the airport. Free airport transfers with clear communication from host. Check in experience: easy Available amenities: tooth brush, comb, slippers, shower slides, disposable toilet seat cover. Highlights: bathroom air conditioner, projector, modern interior design, luxury car transfer, fast food delivery through ******* app. Improvement points: provide a bar fridge"

"Decided to try this hotel on a whim, as it was my first stay here. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. From my room, I had direct views of the iconic Pudong skyline, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It's also right next to Yu Garden, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. There's a subway entrance right outside the hotel, and you can reach many tourist attractions within just one or two stops. The hotel was very clean overall, and the service was excellent; any requests were addressed promptly. The hotel breakfast was decent, with a good variety of dishes. The Executive Lounge on the 17th floor offers a fantastic opportunity to sit by the window and enjoy the beautiful Huangpu River views while you dine. The infinity pool on the hotel's top floor is perfect for taking Instagram-worthy photos. The only slight disappointment was the doorman service at the hotel entrance. When checking out, I was juggling my child, two suitcases, and a backpack, and unfortunately, no one offered to assist me with my belongings."

"It was the best 4 nights of stay at this hotel. Breakfast was awesome as many varieties and items were always on the shelves despite us being late for it. Another thumb's up for the transportation services which was part of the room package which made our deployment around much easier. My kids enjoyed the stay and it was so much fun throughout. Lastly, the location is so strategic as about 25mins to airport, 10mins to Wild Life Animal Park, 20mins to Disneyland and walking distance to restaurant and supermarket."

"1. The hotel uniformly sets the central air conditioning temperature in the name of environmental protection, but as customers, we cannot understand it. We checked in on January 28. It was so hot that we couldn't sleep. We called the hotel front desk in the middle of the night to send an ice-cooling machine. The 26 degrees shown in the picture was the result of blowing all night. The sound was also very loud. I couldn't stand it and complained to the manager on duty and changed a room on the shady side. 2. As a five-star standard hotel, the New Year is not a reason to lower the service standards. After calling to urge water delivery for 40 minutes, no one delivered it. 3. The phone emphasized that the child was sleeping. I called them on my personal mobile phone, but they still called my landline in the middle of the night to wake up the child. In summary, I hope your hotel can live up to the star rating standards and pay attention to details! Truly put customers first! 1.酒店以环保为名统一设置中央空调温度，但是我们作为顾客不能理解，入住1月28日，热到谁不着觉，半夜给酒店前台打电话送来加冰的冷风机，图示26度是吹了一晚上的结果，声音也超大，实在是受不了第二天和当班经理投诉换了一个阴面的房间。 2.作为五星级标准酒店,过年不是服务降低标准的理由,打电话催促送水40分钟后没有人送来。 3.电话强调孩子在睡觉 我私人手机打电话给他们 还是半夜给我打座机把孩子吵醒。 综上,希望贵酒店可以对得起星级评定的标准,注重细节!真正做到顾客至上!"

"We had an awesome stay at Hotel Indigo in May. The view was amazing, the room was super comfy and stylish, and the location couldn’t have been better for checking out the city. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice, and the staff were all great. Big shoutout to Henry at the front desk – he made us feel really welcome and was super helpful when we had a little issue. Also don’t miss their rooftop bar, delivering Shanghai’s iconic skyline with a well crafted cocktail on top🍹 Would definitely stay here again!"
