"We loved our stay at the Zhonlou Yuantuo Hotel! The hotel was very conveniently located to the Bell and Drum towers, as well as the Muslim Quarter. It’s also conveniently placed to the Zhonglou metro station, so you can get around the city with ease. The staff here are all very warm and friendly and made our stay very pleasant. The rooms were clean and modern, with some quirky features. We also had the breakfast included, which had plenty of Eastern and Western options. I would thoroughly recommend staying here during your time in Xi’an."

"What a wonderful, hospitable owner. The owner was extremely thoughtful and took really good care of all his guests. He took extra effort to prepare an early breakfast for a European family who wanted to leave early for the terracotta museum and helped them rebook the taxi when he observed that the allocated vehicle was too small for the family of 4. I enjoyed having conversations with the owner, covering anything under the sun helping to break the monotony of solo travel. The place is located in a quieter area, but surrounded by the traditional Chinese food stalls, local market, chic restaurants and bars and trendy cafes and bakeries. Clean and tidy, the big living room on the ground floor to relax or for some, a spot to some work."

"We had a wonderful time at the Old Locust Homestay. You can tell the owner really cares about his guests. During our stay there was some work being done in the road out front and the owner made sure to help us with our bags coming in and when we left and also offered a complementary room upgrade along with complementary imported coffee and gave us some local treats as a condolence for the issue. He always went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The hotel is newly renovated, very stylist and has great views from the third and fourth floors. We would definitely come back if we are ever in Xi’an again."

"I feel very comfortable and satisfied. The hotel is in a prime location, convenient for travel, and there are abundant shopping and dining facilities nearby. The hotel has all the necessary facilities, is clean and tidy, and the service is cordial and friendly. I look forward to staying here next time."

"This hotel is very nice and conveniently located. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Very helpful and nice staff. I would like to especially highlight Lily Zhao at the front desk whose help was greatly appreciated by us, and the Gentleman at the entrance door who kindly helped with our lugagge. Breakfast was great, including a good western and chinese choice. Our stay was a great experience and we would highly recommend the hotel to anyone else staying in Xi'an. Would book again. "We had a fantastic stay here! A very good location being so close to the metro, especially line 2 is convenient. When you exit just take exit C then exit 6 from the underpass, it is steps away to the hotel. Easy walk via the underpass to the Muslim Quarter for dinner was lovely. Also really appreciated the free bottles of water at elevator on every level. Staff were lovely. And we had a very cool view of the Bell Tower from our room! A great perk, and for those who don’t you can also see the view from the breakfast room window. One thing to note for friends travelling together, the toilet and shower have opaque glass doors (and side window) so you cannot see anything at all, but the doors are not to the roof so you can hear pretty clearly- it is totally fine if you are comfortable with each other, otherwise could play some music, but just to be aware of. Overall would absolutely stay here again!"

"The service was excellent. The hotel is approximately a 20-minute walk to the metro station and about a 25-minute walk to the city wall. The room we received was different from the pictures shown during booking, but the staff addressed the issue promptly. Front desk lady was not able to provide much information about attraction, I guess she is not a local and maybe training is required."

"When traveling with my parents, my biggest concerns are always transportation and accommodation. Although the hotel's vicinity was crowded and noisy at night, my parents surprisingly loved the lively buzz of everyday life, even commenting that such a vibrant atmosphere is essential for young people to thrive. Adding to the positive experience, my dad was so charmed by the cafe's ambiance that he spontaneously asked to take photos. During check-out, a polite young man named Zhou helped us with our luggage, and the cleaning staff went out of their way to assist us. These small, thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly warm and filled the final leg of our trip with a deep sense of gratitude. My parents said they'd love to visit Xi'an again in the future, and I truly hope we'll get to come back soon!"

"Overall, it was quite good! The location is super convenient for a family of three on a 6-day, 5-night trip. The subway entrance is literally 10 meters to the right downstairs, and Exit 7 of the underground passage also provides quick access to the hotel. The laundry room was always busy; although the washers ran non-stop, the dryer had issues, but they were promptly fixed the very next day. From our room, with the curtains open, we had a view of the Bell Tower. The night market downstairs was also bustling, perfect for grabbing a snack whenever we felt like it. We sampled a few things and found them to be quite good. The young staff at the front desk were incredibly enthusiastic and always willing to help with any requests – a truly passionate team. Breakfast was decent, though we'd suggest adding a bit more variety. The only minor drawback was that our street-facing room was a little noisy. However, after a full day of sightseeing, we were usually so tired that the street noise didn't bother us much in the end. 😁 If we visit again, we'd likely choose this place. One final note: we booked the hotel's Terracotta Warriors day tour, and our experience wasn't great – it was just mediocre. Although it didn't include entry to the main attraction, it featured a show called 'The Revival Army' and an AR mirror experience. If you opted not to watch them, you'd be stuck waiting at the visitor center for nearly two hours. My child wanted to see it, so my husband took him. I, on the other hand, spent 29.9 at a foot spa outside the visitor center, enjoying the air conditioning and a comfortable seat, as the visitor center itself was quite underwhelming. All in all, Xi'an is definitely worth another visit!"

"Location is near the metro. So it is pretty convenient to travel around to many places of interest. There are many eatery places around the hotel. So we are spoilt for choices when it comes to meals. Price of the hotel room is totally worth it in spite that the room is not very big. Not too shall though. Shower is strong and WiFi is good. The hotel also provides self service laundry."
