"The room is clean, the front desk service is very good, the hotel is very close to the subway station, and the surrounding area is close to the tourist attraction Datang Never Sleeps City, which is convenient for travel. The breakfast is also very rich. I forgot to bring my contact lens case when I traveled, and the front desk also prepared it considerately. The check-in experience is very good. I will stay at the Mercure Xi'an Qujiang Hotel when I come to Xi'an in the future.

"The hotel was very well located for shopping , Xian Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. The staff were friendly and welcoming although English was very limited.
The hotel itself was very clean and skinny smelled of oranges. It would be good if they could put this scent in the corridors too as I suspect some guests smoke in the corridors.
Breakfast was a Chinese buffet. It was satisfactory. This hotel feels like a good 3 star hotel.
The hotel is in the middle of a night club area and so is noisy at night. The hotel did warn us of this on arrival and upgraded us to a quieter room, although it was still a bit noisy. We didn’t really mind as it was only 2 nights.
We are an older couple in our 50s from Australia. I think we should have stayed near Pagoda Square. This hotel and area would be better for younger couples who like to make the most of the evenings."

"The facilities were good, staff were generally helpful and nice. Very clean environment; generally has what you need. Very conveniently located. Some of the staff at the front desk are a bit too immature and could act a bit more professional. Apparently, they find it funny for you ask them for water; ask them a few more times and they would giggle and laugh behind your back and make fun of you; they might even horse around with you if Mandarin is not your first language and you don't speak as natively as they do. I made an add on booking for an extra night. If you need them to do anything towards the end of your stay, they might withhold service at the front desk until you give them a perfect rating; they wouldn't check me back in the hotel until I left a good rating/comment for my first booking. They forgot I that I could also rate / comment for my second booking. Basically a bunch of kids. Otherwise, hotel management seems fine. Pretty clean, the staff were generally polite."

"The hotel only opened last year. The bathrooms in the rooms are very new and brand-name. The lady at the front desk also upgraded our room for us. The hotel is very quiet and suitable for rest!"

"We were surprised by the environment and facilities. A few days ago, I stepped on a pit and a homestay with more than 1,000 without TVs. It really feels refreshed to come here. Whether it is decoration, furniture or door details, I am very careful. The toiletries are Ole b's room and Marshall speakers, which is really full of taste. There is a big dog called Denmark in the store, and the daughter is reluctant to go with the dog the next day. Breakfast is finally not a farm meal, it is a Western light meal and milk, I like it very much! We will definitely come again. Whether it is a weekend empty or winter snow, it will be very pleasant!"

PPortale GIn 30 years of traveling around the globe, this is one of the best hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel was beautiful and functional. Great position and nice rooms. Airport pick up service. But what was amazing was the welcoming of the lady, Tong. She took care of us all time from the check in to the installation in the room. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel also offers a tea time in the afternoon. Rooms very clean and an included laundry service. I wish to go back soon. Also Wu, Ning and Feng were great, helping us with the checkout

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Sofitel People’s Legend in Xi’an. Our room was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable – the perfect place to relax after exploring the city’s rich history. Dining at Dolce Vita was a delight, with exquisite cuisine and a warm atmosphere.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional service we received. A heartfelt thank you to Ruizi, Themis, Fancy, and Tommy, who went above and beyond to make our Mother’s Day celebration so special. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel truly cherished.
If we could give more than five stars, this would be a solid 10. We will most certainly return!

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!)
The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all.
A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome.
I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone.
After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out.
I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

MMissBee2023Really great hotel, excellent location right next to the Bell Tower. Amazing service: staff were extremely helpful, and used translation apps when their English failed them, so language wasn’t an issue. We got waters, a fruit plate and bookmarks on check out, and the staff were helpful in our other enquiries. We were able to check in early, and they offered help with the Terra-cotta warriors also.
It didn’t show up on Apple Maps for us - however we entered the address from Trip and that led us and the taxi there! There is another “Grand Mercure” about a 30minute walk away, so worth noting that when you type Mercure into maps it goes to that. But the location is amazing- close to the main central junction with the Bell Tower, 5 minutes from the Muslim Quarter, and various takeaways/bakeries/convenience stores right underneath the hotel.
We definitely recommend!

HHeimimamaThis is the most satisfactory hotel for our self-driving tour with dogs. The environment is good, the staff is enthusiastic, and the breakfast is rich. I would like to especially thank the front desk staff Dong Huanhuan. Seeing that we brought two dogs, she upgraded us to a room with a terrace. Next time I come to Xi'an, I will stay at Yaman again.

GGuest UserThis hotel I stayed at was absolutely fantastic! The moment I stepped into the room, it was blissfully cool. The air conditioning was superb; it offered a welcome respite from the scorching heat outside, providing instant comfort and a perfect escape from the summer swelter.
And the hotel’s dining options were unbelievably plentiful – a true paradise for foodies! Especially breakfast. The Beef Paomo, with its perfectly sized *mo* (flatbread) pieces and rich, fragrant broth, was incredible. The beef stewed within was so tender it melted in your mouth – eating it soaked in the soup was simply out of this world! Then there was the Roujiamo! The buns were toasted crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with a perfectly balanced mix of lean and fatty shredded pork, and a drizzle of savory braising sauce. Each bite was bursting with flavor! As a carb enthusiast, I simply couldn't resist and wanted to devour multiple servings of everything!
Speaking of Xi'an itself, it truly caters to my palate! Delicious noodles and various *mo* (flatbreads/buns) are everywhere; you can pick any street-side eatery and never be disappointed. For carb lovers like us, it's a place you visit and never want to leave, wishing you could eat these dishes every single day!
The hotel's service was also incredibly thoughtful. The staff always greeted us with a warm smile, and any request was promptly attended to. Staying here was a truly delightful experience, from the food to the sightseeing. If I ever visit Xi'an again, I'll definitely choose this hotel. Highly recommended!

The soundproofing wasn't the best, primarily due to the noise of doors opening and closing, but it became quite quiet once everyone had settled down for the night. The location is excellent for transportation; getting a taxi was very convenient. It's also right next to a pedestrian street and several attractions, making everything easily accessible on foot. Plus, there are plenty of fantastic food options all around. A highlight was having a late-night bowl of congee after shopping when hunger struck, then heading back to my room for a truly satisfying sleep.
