Review: Remm Roppongi (レム六本木)

Our stay at Remm Roppongi was very enjoyable and a great base for exploring Tokyo. The hotel’s location is absolutely one of its biggest strengths — it’s just steps from Roppongi Station, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and nightlife, and in a vibrant part of the city that’s easy to explore on foot or by subway.  

The rooms are clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with free Wi-Fi and comfort in mind. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, as is common in Tokyo, clever layout and features like a massage chair made the space very comfortable for relaxing after long days of sightseeing.  

One of the memorable parts of our stay was the night view — higher-floor rooms offer beautiful city and Tokyo Tower views, which was a highlight of the experience.  

The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with requests, and check-in/out was smooth. Guest reviews consistently praise how attentive and polite the team is.  

Breakfast (optional buffet) has a nice variety and was delicious — a great way to start the day before heading out.  

On the flip side, there’s no bathtub in most rooms, so if you really want a bath it might not be ideal, and the hotel doesn’t have extensive facilities like a spa or gym — but for a city stay where the focus is exploring Tokyo, it’s perfect.  

Overall, Remm Roppongi offers excellent comfort, great convenience, and a high-quality experience for a business or leisure trip in Tokyo, especially if you value location and a modern, comfortable room to return to each evening.

The location of the hotel is excellent just 5 minutes walk from the East side of JR Ikebukuro station.Keep in mind that there is  no elevator or escalator on this side so you have to carry your luggage upstairs (maybe it has but we didn't find it) Convenient store is beside the hotel by getting through the connecting door. There is a self locker room to keep your luggage before check in.
2 water bottles are provided every day. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. We enjoyed staying here. Highly recommended.

This hotel is excellent. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you feel a comfortable and grand atmosphere. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and patient, and their English was fluent. Although the room decor is a bit dated, it was exceptionally clean. The connecting room was also very spacious, which is a huge plus in Japan! The hallways have full-coverage surveillance, making me feel very safe and secure. On the 18th floor, there's a vending machine room with a great selection, including various ice creams that the kids loved – a big bonus! The breakfast spread was also extensive, and all the service staff were very polite. It's less than a 5-minute walk to the subway, making it convenient to get anywhere. I'll definitely book here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

I've stayed at the Via next door many times, but this was my first time at this one. The room was newly renovated, well-designed, and had plenty of storage space under the bed. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, but it only had a shower. The shower was a big drawback – the water was timed, so it would stop after a while once you pressed the switch, which was very inconvenient. Also, the soundproofing in the room was a bit poor; I could clearly hear the microwave from the equipment room at the end of the hallway.

Location is very convenient as it is beside Akihabara station.
Room is also quite clean and there is daily room service if required. All the amenities are also at the 6F front desk, they provide toothbrush and toothpaste as well which is nice. A water bottle is provided as well every time they perform room service.
For the breakfast, they will give you the paper coupon for one of the cafe at another building, the food there is delicious and I recommend the pancakes.
Toilet is also a pleasant experience as it is separated section of the shower room and toilet.
As for the massage chair, I did not use it as I can see that it's dirty or just old from the stains left on the chair.
But overall, I would book this hotel again if I'm staying at Akihabara next time.

The hotel is located in Ginza, just a few minutes' walk to various shopping malls, and about a seven-minute walk to the subway station. There's a FamilyMart downstairs and a Don Quijote across the street. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. The hotel cleans every three days, but you can get fresh towels and bottled water daily. The only issue was that the bidet in our room kept flushing by itself, so I unplugged it every night before bed. Self-check-in is available in Chinese, with staff on hand to assist. Free luggage storage is also offered.

The hotel is quite a bit of walk (10+ mins) from the Tokyo Station central exit. But located very close to the Kyobashi Subway and also close to all sorts of restaurants, malls etc.

Rooms are squeaky clean, have all amenities though squeezed into a very small space. We couldn’t manage to open 2 medium sized suitcases in the room. The room is 23m square but half the room is occupied by the bathroom! There is a separate bath tub and a floor shower which eats up half of the room. Space utilisation is not great for a room of that size in Tokyo. Had the bathroom been better thought out, it would have easily allowed for more space for luggage and maybe even, more storage!

That said, they had some nice free drip coffee at the hotel lobby. The room has an electric kettle to make coffee or tea which is really nice. The room also has a really nice massage chair that can be relaxing after a hectic day out in Tokyo.

They allow complimentary luggage stowage post  checkout which can be very helpful. There is also a 7-11 store just a few meters away which is great. Staff are really nice too.

The room has this weird smell on entering. The room is relatively small and tiny but can make do. It is located 10-20 minutes away from Tokyo main station. There are many konbinis in the area. The room has dust around some corners. The tv is outdated. What I like is the front desk and the cleaner staff are friendly and accommodating and also the room amenities provided are good - comb, shaver, earbud, toothbrush/paste, bath salt, skincare etc. overall the room is ok for the price. Room looks exactly like what you see in the picture.

We enjoyed our stay ar Remm Hibiya very much. The staffs were very friendly and could communicate in English well. The location of the hotel is excellent, surrounding by many restaurants, within walkin distance to all the main shopping. The room size is considered to be spacious when compare with typical Japanese hotels, especially bathroom. The room even has a massage chair where you can relax after a long walk, the bed is very comfortable we could sleep well during our 5 nights.
I'd like to highly recommend Remm Hibiya for stay in Ginza   area.

This hotel deserves nothing but superlatives! The decor is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the soundproofing is amazing. When we first tried to check in at 1 PM, there was an older lady with big eyes at the front desk who wasn't very friendly. However, by 3 PM when we actually checked in, a super kind and gentle man was at the front desk. He even gave us a high-floor room with a view of Tokyo Tower! Our five-day stay was incredibly comfortable. The absolute best part was the soundproofing; it was truly superb, the best I've ever experienced in any Japanese hotel.

Hotel  is the most convenient stay near Osaka Station: it sits directly above JR Osaka Station’s Central Gate, so you step off the train and into the lobby without dragging luggage outside.  Rooms are compact by Western standards but clean, quiet, and well‑equipped, with comfortable beds, city or courtyard views, and reliable free Wi‑Fi.  The hotel’s real strength is location and service—staff are consistently praised as helpful and efficient, and you’re minutes from Umeda’s department stores, restaurants, and subway lines.  On‑site dining ranges from casual cafes to higher‑end Japanese and Western options, plus a lounge bar; breakfast offers Japanese and Western choices.  Ideal for transit‑heavy itineraries (Shinkansen at Shin‑Osaka, Kansai Airport via Haruka) and travelers who value time over large rooms.

Choosing this hotel in Osaka was absolutely the right decision! 😍

The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite Osaka Station, making it super easy to access JR lines, subways, and even travel to Kyoto, Nara, or Kobe.

Downstairs, you'll find Grand Front Osaka, LUCUA, Daimaru, and Hankyu Department Store, offering a plethora of shopping, dining, and cafes – you'll never run out of places to explore.

If you're visiting Osaka, I highly recommend this hotel. Its convenient transportation and comfortable environment will genuinely save you a lot of time. ✨

Getting around is super convenient. You don't even have to leave Osaka Station to get to the hotel's front desk on the 12th floor, which is a huge plus during rainy season. The room isn't big, and the double bed is quite small, but it has everything you need. The only downside was that the cleanliness was a bit subpar; there were stains on the pillows.

I definitely have to give this hotel a five-star review!

The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the shopping district and next to the subway. There's a whole street of restaurants right behind the hotel, and it's super convenient after a day of shopping. Getting to and from the airport by bus is also very easy.

The cleanliness is outstanding, absolutely no complaints there.

The room type is on the smaller side, but perfect for one person. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and it's great that you can open the window for some fresh air.

The hotel staff are incredibly nice, always with a smile during check-in and check-out.

There are just a couple of small things that could be improved. The door might not be very soundproof, as I heard noises outside my room late at night. Also, on the first night, around 2 or 3 AM, I opened the window and smelled a very strong, pungent odor from outside that lasted for a while; I'm not sure what caused it.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The location, service, and facilities are all excellent. I think I even stayed at this very hotel many years ago when I first came to Osaka. All in all, a great experience, highly recommended!

Hanshin Annex Osaka:
Out of the three hotels I booked during my 8-day stay in Japan, this was the best one.
The service was excellent, with staff who were very polite and genuinely helpful.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I especially appreciated the soft white lighting (not yellow), which was easy on the eyes and much more comfortable than in many other hotels.
Breakfast was good and satisfying.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Fukushima Station, making it very easy to get around Osaka.

I recently stayed at Hotel Hanshin Osaka during my trip to Osaka, and overall it was a very satisfying experience, especially for a first-time solo traveler visiting the city.
One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is definitely its excellent location. The hotel is conveniently connected to transportation, making it extremely easy to travel to many of Osaka’s famous attractions and shopping areas. Whether I wanted to visit Dotonbori, Umeda, Osaka Castle, or even take day trips to nearby cities, getting around was smooth and stress-free. For someone traveling alone and unfamiliar with Osaka, staying here made the entire trip feel much more comfortable and convenient.
Another thing that impressed me was the service provided by the hotel staff. The front desk employees were always polite, professional, and welcoming. They greeted guests with genuine smiles and were very helpful whenever I had questions. Even though there was sometimes a language barrier, they still tried their best to assist me, which made me feel appreciated as a guest. Good hospitality can really affect the overall travel experience, and this hotel certainly delivered in that aspect.
The room itself was clean and well-maintained. Although the room size was slightly small, which is quite common in Japan, the facilities inside were surprisingly complete and thoughtfully arranged. Everything I needed was provided, and the layout was efficient enough that I still felt comfortable during my stay. The in-room hot spring bath was also a very enjoyable feature. After spending long hours walking around Osaka every day, being able to relax in the warm bath at night was incredibly refreshing and helped me recover from fatigue.
If I had to mention one downside, it would only be the limited room space. However, considering the location, service quality, cleanliness, and facilities, I still think this hotel offers great value overall.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Osaka for the first time, especially solo travelers who want a convenient, comfortable, and reliable place to stay.

This is an older, established hotel, and the staff are all very friendly. The room facilities are generally quite good, though the shower stall is a bit too small. In terms of location, it's a bit of a walk to the subway, but it's very close to the airport bus stop at Hankyu Sanbangai, making it super convenient for getting to the airport.

No bathtub for soaking, which is quite rare in Japan. There's a massage chair though, great for relaxing after a long day of walking. The room isn't big, similar in size to what you'd find in Osaka. This is a Hankyu hotel, and the location is excellent, right above the train station. It rained every day during my trip to Kobe, so all my planned excursions were cancelled. I ended up just wandering around the shopping street downstairs and eating and drinking at the hotel. The service at this hotel was the most 'Japanese' I experienced during my entire trip – incredibly polite and respectful. My only minor complaint is that they were very stingy with the facial masks and leg refreshing sheets they provided.

This stay was in a Japanese-style room. The layout was conventional, not very spacious, and a bit dated, but the cleanliness was good. The hotel's two elevators are quite small, leading to long waits during peak hours, which is inefficient. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and noteworthy.

The bathhouse is divided into public and guest-only sections: the public bath on the 2nd-3rd floors doesn't provide towels but has lockers; the guest-only bath on the GF floor offers hand towels but no lockers, so it's advisable not to bring valuables. Overall, the experience was decent.

The hotel's hillside location makes walking a bit inconvenient, but they offer a shuttle service to the station! You can call the front desk to book it!
