Green Lake Hotel: A Perfect 5-Star Stay in Kunming!

Of all the highlights of my trip to Kunming, the Green Lake Hotel was by far the most pleasant surprise and the most satisfying. I'm quite picky when it comes to hotel choices, and before booking, I debated for a long time. I was especially worried that an older, established hotel might have outdated facilities or be poorly maintained, fearing it would impact my travel experience. However, once I checked in, all my worries and concerns completely vanished – the entire stay exceeded my expectations in the most amazing way.

Even though it's a classic, long-standing state guesthouse, the hotel's facilities are impeccably maintained, and the cleanliness is absolutely flawless. Everywhere was spotless, tidy, and high-quality. Age hasn't brought a sense of decay; instead, it has created an elegant, 'old money' style that is understated yet luxurious, dignified yet comfortable. It completely changed my preconceived notions about older hotels.

The service level certainly lives up to the guesthouse's venerable reputation. Throughout my stay, the staff were attentive, thoughtful, professional, and courteous. Their attitude was warm and polite, striking the perfect balance – meticulous without being intrusive. This truly showcased the depth and refinement of a high-end hotel, and the experience was absolutely top-notch.

What truly impressed me were the thoughtful details everywhere. From the lobby to the guest rooms, there were beautifully arranged fresh floral displays. In an era where cost-cutting and efficiency are often prioritized, the hotel still maintains such a high standard of aesthetics and sincerity. This commitment and dedication are truly commendable and rare.

The location is simply perfect, the absolute core of Kunming. Stepping out, you're right by the stunning Green Lake, making walks and sightseeing incredibly convenient. There are numerous attractions nearby, making travel and exploration highly efficient. Additionally, the area boasts many unique shops and charming cafes, making dining and browsing easy. It's both a tranquil retreat and full of local life – perfect for sightseeing, leisure, and exploring.

In summary, the Green Lake Hotel is impeccable in every aspect – hardware, service, details, and location. It is undoubtedly the best choice for a trip to Kunming, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

Came to Kunming for 3 days and 2 nights with my mom, and it was a perfect experience. I didn't have high expectations when booking the hotel, as I'd never been to Kunming before. It was only while chatting with the Didi driver that I found out it was a five-star hotel and located right in the city center. The hotel's thoughtful service began the moment we stepped out of the car – they proactively opened the door, asked if we needed assistance, and Ms. Luo at the reception center patiently answered all our questions. After checking in, we discovered that all the hotel facilities were comprehensive and still very new, including branded toiletries. The hotel also delivered fresh Yunnan fruits and snacks every day. The hotel's breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of options, and from the 30th floor, we could enjoy panoramic views of Kunming's city skyline. My mom was very happy with her stay. Definitely worth coming back to.

My recent stay at Kunming Haitien Hotel truly surpassed all my expectations – it absolutely deserves a glowing review!

First off, the location is truly superb. It's close to many attractions, making getting around incredibly convenient, and taxis are quick and easy to find – absolutely no need to stress about transportation. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and the room size was surprisingly generous. While there's an All Seasons Hotel right across the street, Haitien is not only more affordable, but its rooms are nearly twice the size, incredibly bright and airy, ensuring a completely unconfined and relaxing stay for both mind and body. Plus, there are plenty of diverse dining options conveniently located nearby.

The breakfast spread was varied and tasty, catering to different preferences. What's more, they thoughtfully provided complimentary breakfast for children, a gesture that families traveling with kids will truly appreciate. However, what truly stands out is the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day, and amenities were promptly replenished. They even neatly arranged our shoes that we left casually – such attention to detail is truly impressive! Even more heartwarming, fresh milk was delivered to our room every evening. A cup before bed was comforting and soothing, making us feel right at home. Every staff member, from the service staff to the cleaners, greeted us with a smile, showing professionalism and sincerity in every detail. The service was absolutely excellent!

Parents traveling with children need not worry at all. The hotel has a dedicated children's activity area where kids can weave toys, play ring toss, or make sachets, keeping them thoroughly entertained and allowing adults to relax peacefully. Even more thoughtfully, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to and from the nearby zoo. This saves the hassle of checking routes and finding parking, making the outing experience absolutely seamless and perfect!

Overall, I couldn't fault anything, from the facilities and service details to the excellent value for money. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Kunming and highly recommend it to everyone!

Absolutely thrilled with this hotel! The room decor is exactly my style, truly a dream room. I'll definitely choose to stay here again for my next trip. The location is also fantastic, very close to West Lake Scenic Area and historic cultural blocks like Wuliu Lane.

**Facilities:** The double-glazed windows provide excellent soundproofing.
**Hygiene:** Very clean.
**Environment:** Great area for exploring.
**Service:** They allowed early check-in and late check-out, which was incredibly thoughtful.

Let's start with the positives: the hotel's location is excellent, right near Hangzhou Station and very close to the subway, making it convenient to get anywhere. Now for the negatives: the service was really poor. In the morning, two guests got into an argument over seats, and the staff member, who was clearing tables right next to them, didn't react at all. There was water on the floor outside the elevator on the first floor that wasn't cleaned up promptly, causing a guest to slip and fall. The breakfast selection was limited, and replenishment was slow; by 8:30 AM, many of the serving dishes were empty. The dining tables were very dirty and greasy. When staff cleared tables, they only took away the dishes, neither replacing placemats nor wiping down the tables.

Very satisfied. I stay here every time I visit. It's clean, the service is excellent, the facilities and environment are great, and parking is convenient. It's also not far from the nearby attractions. The moat downstairs offers a beautiful and pleasant view, and the restaurant's food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
