Great
GGuest UserI booked an apartment, but the service was surprisingly good. I was a bit worried based on previous reviews that apartment service might not be as great. Due to heavy rain and a flight delay in Melbourne, I didn't check in until almost midnight. I asked about adding breakfast, and the lady at check-in immediately registered me for a Langham membership, saying I could get 50% off breakfast using that membership number. I wasn't happy with the view from the first room. Later, a very beautiful Asian lady at the front desk had a colleague show me a new room, and I only switched once I was sure about it. Super awesome!

Great
KKakoeGreat location with an easy walk to the beach, central Surfers Paradise, and access to the tram to other parts of the Gold Coast. The apartment was clean with an excellent bathroom and shower. The towels were great too - new and fluffy. The furniture in my room was dated, the mattress was old, uncomfortable, and should have been replaced a decade ago, and the apartment lacked any style or decor. I'm not sure if it was just my apt #910 but it didn't look like the online pictures. Overall it served its purpose but was fairly uncomfortable and drab.

XXiaomi2323Every time I visit the Gold Coast, I stay at the Marriott, and the breakfast is always great. However, the caps on the shampoo and other toiletries can be easily opened, which raises some safety concerns. After 6 PM, there are no staff or services at the pool, and it's not lit. For children with UV allergies who wish to swim in the evening, it's not possible. December is summer in Australia, so it gets dark late. I hope the hotel considers extending the pool's closing time, especially since guests are here for a holiday. Thank you.

Great
GGuest UserI recently stayed at a hotel in Gold Coast and had a mostly positive experience. The staff were incredibly nice and super friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The room facilities were great, and the large room provided a comfy atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Plus, the location was ideal—just a short walk to the beach and the tram station, with a supermarket nearby for convenience. However, I did encounter a disappointing issue: we saw a cockroach in our room. While this was unfortunate, it didn't overshadow the overall comfort and amenities of our stay. With a little more attention to cleanliness, this hotel could be an excellent choice for future visitors.

JJanneyWe had a wonderful stay at Q1 Service Apartment and Spa. The service was excellent, and everything was very clean and well-maintained throughout our visit. We especially loved environment — such a highlight of our stay! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made the experience even more enjoyable. Even the little details stood out, like the shampoo, which smelled amazing. Overall, a great place to stay, and we would definitely come back again!

JJindaozhuziwangWe arrived at the hotel at 11 PM. We had booked two rooms. A female staff member at the front desk helped us extend our stay in the original room type. However, during check-in, we found one room was on the 16th floor and the other on the 5th, which was inconvenient for looking after an elderly family member traveling with us. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, so a room change wasn't possible. The front desk staff advised us to check out of room 505 by 10 AM the next day, store our luggage at the front desk, and then move to room 1604 after 2 PM. After checking in, we realized that checking out of one room at 10 AM would disrupt our family's rest, so we went back to the lobby to negotiate keeping the original rooms without switching. A new shift had started, and a male manager in the lobby along with two front desk staff members repeatedly checked the system. The manager on duty sternly and rigidly informed us that we had only booked for one day and had to check out tomorrow, stating there was no information about an extended stay. It was quite embarrassing and frustrating, so we immediately tried to re-book an extension in the lobby. The hotel refused to process the extension and, in front of us, the front desk manager refused to answer calls from Ctrip customer service. At 12:48 AM, a Ctrip customer service representative used my phone to try and negotiate with the front desk manager, but to no avail. Our request was simple: to extend our stay in the original rooms without changing. Ctrip customer service was very helpful, informing us they would email the hotel's housekeeping department by 9:00 AM the next day, explaining our need to extend in the same rooms. At 10:00 AM the next morning, hotel housekeeping woke up our entire family, asking us to check out. We informed them of our request to extend in the original rooms, and after that, the hotel didn't contact us again. We are extremely grateful for Ctrip customer service's excellent assistance in the middle of the night. Despite the cold, rigid, and unyielding attitude of the hotel's front desk manager, Ctrip actively advocated for our rights, and for that, we are very thankful!

GGuest UserSurfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

MMelzza23Unfortunately we did not have a great stay. We booked 3 apartments for a family vacation and all 3 had issues. All 3 apartments had faulty air cons. 1 air con didn’t work at all and also a toilet in that apartment didn’t work either. Also when we arrived, we found one of our carparks had a car parked in it and that 2 other guests were allocated the same Carpark as us. We all contacted the letting company and all guests were told to seek help from the apartment reception who then told us all to contact the letting company as they don’t deal with the private apartments and their carparks. So it was back and forth for hours, we even visited the office twice until the car was finally removed. In terms of the no aircon/ broken toilet room, we were told there was nothing the letting company could do about it as they only have 1 staff member on so we’d have to wait for the next day and that some of our cost would be refunded (We are still waiting). The next day, in the morning the staff member visited and said the aircon is broken and they’ll have to find another room so will get back to us. It was close to the letting company’s closing time and we hadn’t heard back so we followed up only to be told there’s no more rooms available and our family would have to make do with the fans. Our family members in the no aircon room got sick from the heat/ stuffiness even with the doors and windows open. The amenities - lagoon, gym and pool are awesome So it was really unfortunate we did not enjoy our stay due to the lack of upkeep of the apartments and the service.
