"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the metro station, about a 3-minute walk; it's also not far from the British Museum, around an 8-10 minute walk. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The room size is quite spacious for London standards. The soundproofing could be better, and the hotel rooms don't have air conditioning, which was the only thing that was really difficult to accept – it was very uncomfortable without AC in 30-degree weather. Check-in isn't until after 2 PM, which feels a bit inflexible, but they do offer free luggage storage."

"Traveling in the UK, I found this hotel near the British Museum. It's about a 10-minute walk from the museum, and there are plenty of convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. There's also a metro station with a direct line to the airport. The hotel was reasonably clean, and the facilities and service were good. The front desk offers 24-hour luggage storage."

"The hotel is part of the Royal Hotel, and before check-in, the doorman even asked which hotel I had booked. The hotel's policy states an 11 AM check-out, but around 10:30 AM, the cleaning staff burst into the room, saying they needed to clean it. I had seen this mentioned in other reviews but didn't expect it to happen to me. The hotel offers free luggage storage. It's also close to King's Cross Station, so you can walk there using navigation if you don't have much luggage. (I didn't take any photos of the hotel)"

"The tv didn’t work in the room, it was a small box room but it’s fine for one person. I asked if a late checkout was possible but the request didn’t even seem to be considered. The WiFi name in the book is wrong also and the public WiFi is slow and cuts out. Then at 10:05 someone from the hotel staff walked into my room while I was in bed which wasn’t not very good."

"I was looking for a quiet hotel near the British Museum. The hotel certainly feels old, and of course, the rooms aren't spacious, as is typical for London hotels. However, if you're traveling solo, it's perfectly fine. My room had a view of greenery from the window, and the birdsong in the mornings was particularly pleasant. That said, I could easily hear the TV and coughing from the adjacent room, so the level of comfort would vary greatly depending on your neighbors. Breakfast was tasty, but it was the same menu for all five days. In hindsight, I should have only opted for two days, given the abundance of cafes nearby. The bed was comfortable. However, the shower felt like a drizzle and would likely be considered very weak by Japanese standards. The towels also felt quite old. On the positive side, the hairdryer was powerful and convenient. There was also a fan in the room, which would be helpful given the recent sweltering summer heat. All the staff were incredibly kind and wonderful. There's a bus stop close to the hotel, and Russell Square Station is only about a 5-minute walk away. Although it faces the road, it feels safe and quiet."

"The moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed elimediately, mentioning our bookingsnummer we got our room and went up. We placed our stuff and went out to have some dinner. Etc etc... the next morning we checked out could left our luggage behind the counter and had breakfast. I can say breakfast was definetly awesome staff was friendly and helped with allergies. 10/10 experience"

"The room was on a lower floor, which I guess means ground floor. The air conditioning was good, but there was a faint smell of chlorine, probably from a nearby pool. The bathroom was excellent, and having a kitchen was a big plus. The bed, however, felt quite old-fashioned. Check-in was after 5 pm, and you had to follow instructions from an email to get into the room, as there were no staff after that time. The male cleaner I encountered was alright, but they didn't reply to any emails. Also, there were no slippers provided. The location was fantastic, with Tesco, Waitrose, and many restaurants nearby, and it's right by the British Museum."

"The location is great, very convenient for transportation, and there are supermarkets nearby that meet basic needs. It's quiet and safe at night. The room is cleaned once every seven days. You'll need to go to the front desk yourself to replace towels and other items, including trash bags. Basic toiletries like slippers are not provided, so you'll need to bring your own. The bathroom is very small. One thing to note: I emphasized wanting a lower floor when booking because I had a lot of luggage, but I was still assigned to the third floor. The stairs are narrow, and there were empty rooms on the ground and first floors."

"My check-in experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible! First off, regarding early check-in: even though there were clearly available rooms, they wouldn't let me check in early unless I paid an extra £15 for the key. If I didn't opt for early check-in, they even charged for luggage storage! So, I paid the fee to check in early, and the moment I stepped into the room, I was instantly disgusted. The room was so small I could barely open the door. The bed was tiny, there was no desk, and the two small beds practically took up all the space, leaving no room to move around! When I lay down, my face was almost touching the bathroom door! The soundproofing was awful too; people walking in the hallway sounded like they were right in my room, and any movement upstairs made the floor creak. The cleanliness was okay, and breakfast was just so-so. The front desk did print a Westminster Abbey ticket for me without charge, which was a small positive. As for location, even though it's in the city center, you still need to take public transport to get to attractions. The price wasn't cheap either. I definitely won't be staying here again!"
