This place is spotlessly clean, and the owner is truly dedicated to running it well. The front desk staff, especially the young man, is incredibly patient, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. It's very close to the London Eye and Big Ben, just a 20-minute walk. You can take the 63 bus to King's Cross Station, making day trips to Cambridge and Edinburgh really convenient. Bus 148 offers a scenic route past the city's most iconic attractions – no need for a Big Bus tour! This is my second stay here, and I honestly can't recommend it enough. The breakfast is quite substantial for me, and my Chinese palate was perfectly happy with the eggs, oatmeal, milk, and coffee. They even provide purified water and fruit! It feels like the owner isn't even trying to make money, just completely focused on customer service. There are two supermarkets nearby, and the area feels safe, but I'd advise not coming back too late. London teenagers can be a bit... excitable, to say the least!

The room is great, and the location is excellent, very close to the British Museum, and within walking distance to the shopping district. The hygiene is also good. There are many guests, so the soundproofing isn't the best, and the shower is over a bathtub.

If the signs showing direction is bigger or clearer, that would be better. Even the lights inside the bed rooms should be dim, the hall way could be light up a little bit and that may be easier to find the way.

The location is very convenient, it is accessible to all scenic spots within 30-45 mins walking distance and 3 mins walk from Barbican Station.Since it is in the residential and Academy area, the surrounding is quiet and safe. It is an Apartment Hotel so no daily housekeeping service and the amenities provided are basic. Launderette at extra costs is available, Tesco and few cafes are nearby so it will be ideal for travellers who need a stop to clean up and refresh.

The outside of the hotel is basic and makes you wonder if you did the right thing making the reservation, but then when you step inside, the aesthetics improve. Unfortunately in our case no one was at reception and after twenty minutes someone suddenly appeared from outside and gave us our room keys with minimal fuss or conversation of any kind. The room though was great! Very clean, comfy bed with some bottles of water in the fridge and plenty of towels. The shower was also fantastic. Great overall but the check in experience was woeful. They offer an online check-in, which is not the solution here. If the desk is supposed to be 24/7, like the sign said, then it should be staffed 24/7. Another sign said ”be right back”. That is not 20 minutes. Maybe we got unlucky. Despite this, I would recommend this hotel, significantly cheaper than some others nearby and a very good room.

The location of this LSE accommodation is absolutely superb; it's very centrally located. There are two tube stations nearby, Blackfriars and Southwark, both just a 10 to 15-minute walk away. Bankside Pier is also a 10-minute walk, where you can catch an Uber Boat. Tate Modern Museum is right across the street, and behind the museum are the Thames riverside, Millennium Bridge, and St Paul's Cathedral, all within easy reach. Borough Market is also just a 10-minute walk away. Considering the excellent location, a single room with a private bathroom at this price, including breakfast, offers unbeatable value for money. The breakfast is very generous, served from 7 AM to 9:30 AM, featuring sausages, fried eggs, bread, milk, yogurt, fruit, and more. Furthermore, the accommodation is quite clean, and the room was spotless. The front desk staff handling check-in and check-out were all very pleasant; while not overtly enthusiastic like hotel staff, their demeanor was perfectly professional and helpful. Regarding the facilities, I booked a single room, but the one I was given actually had two beds, which made the room feel quite cramped. The room had a great view, with a direct view of The Shard. The building itself appears to be quite old, with many dated aspects. For instance, there are many rooms on one floor (over 40), and the corridors are a maze of twists and turns with numerous fire doors, making it feel like a labyrinth. The windows open upwards, requiring you to stand on a chair to open or close them. There's absolutely no soundproofing for the plumbing; you can hear a very loud gushing sound from the pipes whenever someone in an adjacent room uses water. (Thankfully, my neighbors in the two adjacent rooms were very considerate, rarely using water between 11 PM and 8 AM, and when they did, the sound was minimal, suggesting they used a very low flow). As a former international student in the UK who lived in university dorms for many years, I am perfectly accustomed to small rooms and basic amenities (a kettle, cups, tea bags, soap, shampoo, shower gel, and bath towel are provided, but no hairdryer or fan). However, honestly, the pipe noise was a bit beyond what I expected. Other points of concern for me were: 1. The accommodation hosts hundreds of guests across all age groups, which led to significant queues for breakfast when I went down at 8 AM. 2. The bathroom had a very strong, pungent smell – I couldn't tell if it was disinfectant or fresh paint – which persisted for two days even with the window open constantly. I regretted not asking for a room change on the first day. 3. On my floor, one of the communal kitchens was locked, meaning over forty rooms on that entire floor had to share a single kitchen. I hadn't encountered these specific issues when staying in other university accommodations, which made them a bit bothersome. However, if these particular points aren't a major concern for you, then this place absolutely stands out as an excellent, high-value accommodation option.

The location is fantastic, right next to St. Paul's Cathedral, truly in the heart of the city. The hotel itself is generally good and convenient. Facilities: The hotel has most of what you'd expect, though the room is a bit small. But that's pretty standard for UK hotels; this king-size room is about 25 square meters. The air conditioning was a little noisy at night, but it didn't really bother me overall. Ambiance: The atmosphere is nice. They have a rooftop bar on the 7th floor where you can enjoy night views of St. Paul's, but there's a dress code – no casual wear allowed.

The hotel is located near a church with plenty of dining options nearby. The room was quite spacious, well-equipped, and the bed was soft. Purified water was available at the elevator landing. A minor issue was the somewhat low water pressure on the fourth floor. As my room was street-facing, it could be a bit noisy. The air conditioning only seemed to offer cooling, so I didn't turn it on, and found it a bit chilly at night. Rooms are cleaned every other day, and the overall cleanliness was satisfactory. The location is convenient for public transport, making it easy to visit attractions like the British Museum and an art gallery.

Hotel is excellent, not only on location but all the staff we came across were incredible. We had booked a particular room and unfortunately we were not giving it. We queried this aa the room giving had stairs (duplex suite). The room itself was lovely just unsuitable with person who can't do stairs very well. The duty manager (Renjit, sorry about spelling) was absolutely outstanding in resolving this issue. We were issued a new room (across the street) in the Montcalm Townhouse. The room was fabulous and the service recovery exceeded our expectations. I will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you to all the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one.

CchristiatheoMy stay at Novotel London Canary Wharf was overall very solid, with a few standout moments that made it memorable. The first thing that struck me was the hotel’s modern feel. Everything from the reception area to the corridors had a clean, stylish look. Check-in was quick, and the staff were polite and professional, though not overly personal. It felt efficient rather than warm—but still perfectly pleasant. The room itself was comfortable and well thought out. The bed was great for a good night’s sleep, and the blackout curtains worked really well—ideal if you want to fully rest after a busy day. The room wasn’t huge, but it made smart use of space, and everything felt practical. The view was definitely a highlight, especially if you’re on a higher floor—you get a great look at the surrounding Canary Wharf skyline. Facilities were another plus. The gym was well-equipped for a hotel, and the swimming pool was a nice bonus, especially for unwinding in the evening. However, it can get a bit busy at peak times, which slightly takes away from the relaxing vibe. The rooftop bar is probably the hotel’s best feature. The views are genuinely impressive, and it has a more premium feel compared to the rest of the hotel. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected given the location and setting. Location-wise, it’s ideal if you’re staying in Canary Wharf for work or prefer a quieter part of London. It’s not as lively as central areas like Soho or Shoreditch, but transport links are excellent, so getting around isn’t an issue. On the downside, the lifts were occasionally slow, especially during busy hours, and the breakfast area could feel crowded. The breakfast itself was decent, though not particularly memorable. Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf offers a reliable, comfortable stay with great views and solid amenities. It may not feel ultra-luxurious, but it delivers good value and a pleasant experience in one of London’s most modern districts.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.

GGuest UserDelux - NOT After booking apprehensive about traffic noise from the busy main road. Nothing got through the sound-proofed windows, except the occasional sirens. So far so good. Even though I set the air circulation on, set it down to its lowest setting of 17C, nothing changed and the room remained all stay uncomfortable and warm. The raised bedroom was even hotter so I had to sleep without any duvet., The worst was the size of the room. There was 150cm x 180cm rectangle where you might just swing a cat, with 2P sofa to one longside and a 40cm shelf table to the other, full of the welcome kit, no room to put anywhere else and no room for you to use. Al the other floorspae was =taken up by access. Yes there was a small cupboard for clothes for maybe a couple of nights, not even room to put a suitcase. The bed platform was even worse with just a narrow 30cm passage to either side. Then there was the spiral steps up to the bed platform, steep and very narrow probably 40cm widew, inaccessible should you have a wide girth or are not agile. Yes the breakfast and items across all the expected breakfast buffet range, but uninspired quality, powered scrambled egg, no fried egg, didnt ask for a boiled egg, so disenchanted with the whole deal. Before parting with any money make sure that you get a copy of the floor plans there are several odd and small sized rooms, then make sure your room is not either 103 wew were unfortunate to get or its twin 106. Otherwise the interior was clean, modern still reasonably fresh and the staff responsive. Just our room, sold as delux was not, even if you did not want to swing a cat, not even for if sold as a single.

LLiyaniuThe room was incredibly small! I couldn't believe how tiny 10 square meters felt. I was genuinely shocked when I opened the door. It was even difficult to open my luggage. The table was pathetically small, and there wasn't even a chair. Storage space was extremely limited. The bathroom was even tinier, comparable to an airplane lavatory. Overall, my stay was very uncomfortable. The only positives were the comfortable bed and the breakfast, which at least offered some variety. After a difficult two nights, I decisively moved to the Hilton across the street, and the experience was significantly better. What baffles me is that this place was even more expensive than the Hilton. On the whole, dining and getting around were very convenient, with various UCL colleges in the vicinity. There's a Nero Cafe right next door, so if you don't want the hotel breakfast, you can grab something there. Heading south down the street, you'll find quite a few Chinese restaurants, which is very handy.

SSuiyuehaojingThe price was reasonable and the location was great. It's about an 8-minute walk to a large Westfield shopping center, so food options were plentiful. Access to trains, subways, and buses was also convenient. The only downside was the poor soundproofing – I could clearly hear footsteps and conversations from the hallway. One night, I was even startled by a sudden banging and door opening, and when I asked the front desk about it, I didn't get any response.

GGuest UserIt is a proper old-style purpose-built hotel, with 12 floors, large lobby and corridors and other relaxation, dining (Chinese restaurant, Irish pub, café) and entertainment areas (tea room), many lifts. The Superior room (an upgrade offered by reception from Stabdard for £10) was spacious and had nice panoramic views towards Albert Hall and BT tower. It was, however, on the train track facing side of the building. The tube may be audible from lower rooms, and such rooms probably have the view obstructed by surrounding tower buildings, but on the 9th floor the train noise was not intrusive, and trains do not run at night. It may also be down to the external soundproofing. The internal soundproofing is not as good, in fact around midnight I could hear a group talk and laugh. I used a higher air conditioning volume for white noise and it was not a massive problem. The bathroom could be revamped (the grout could be revived, silicone reapplied), but there was nothing to detract from the overall enjoyable experience. Good shower pressure and temperature, toiletries included conditioner. Convenient USB port for charging.

GGuest UserThe location of this hotel is great- just a 5 minute walk from Paddington which in turn is just two stops on the Tube from the west end. You are also less than a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Kensington Park. Service at reception and in the restaurant was excellent. The continental breakfast is really good with a wide choice that includes boiled eggs, cold meats and cheese. The rooms are spotless in terms of cleanliness but be aware that if you wake up just before 9 and want a shower the water may not be hot due to wider use but at other times is hot.
