Hongya Cave is a stilted building complex constructed along a cliff. By night, it’s bustling with crowds. The structure has 11 floors, filled with numerous food stalls and snack shops. Due to its unique mountainous terrain, exiting from either the 1st or the 11th floor leads directly to a street—a fascinating feature that exemplifies why Chongqing is often called a "magical 3D city."

Exquisite in its architectural design, transposing traditional stilt houses on the waterfront of the Jialing River, and its background the skyscrapers of the Yuzhong peninsula in Chongqing, Hongya Cave is truly a magnificent spot to visit. From afar, the night view is magical from the bridge, the luminous lights, and the passenger ferries that come to dock, give this place a picturesque sight suitable to be photographed and immortalized. During the day, it would be a great idea to explore the many levels filled with restaurants, and shops in the Cave, while enjoying the view of the river from the higher floors. As a renowned tourist destination, the Hongya Cave is simply a must-visit, offering travelers a one-of-a-kind experience that is especially unique to the city of Chongqing.

This is a great course to properly enjoy the night view of Chongqing. In hot weather, it is a very wise choice to view the scenery from the VIP room, which costs an additional 80 yuan per person.

One of Chongqing's most popular spots, it's naturally very crowded, especially in the evening when the lights come on. There's not much to see inside. The real beauty is in the building's lighting. Be prepared to walk 11 floors, as the elevator queues are enormous. It looks very beautiful in the evening with the lights on.

August is quite hot. Walking around during the day can be tiring because the town is mostly mountainous and the paths are steep. There are no bicycles available like in other places, and it's very hot. You should bring an umbrella, hat, and fan. I recommend visiting in the evening or at night for better views, but it gets extremely crowded.

What a great place, it looks magical at night. First, we watched the lights come on from the bridge, then we walked through the complex itself, a labyrinth of coffee shops and souvenir stalls, and we also managed to admire the beauty from below.😍

It's a nice park, large and clean, with observation decks offering panoramic views of the city. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet after the endless hustle and bustle of the city, stroll along the narrow paths, and sit on a bench and simply appreciate the beauty.

Public park, inside there is a lot of happy vibe from people who come to dance choreographies and play instruments. There is street food and other things for sale. Ponds and beautiful gardens. There was a chrysanthemum exhibition when I went. If you are walking to Liziba station I suggest going to the park first because it is quite high up, going down is like a 30 hour walk.

Elling Park in Chongqing is a really big, beautiful park 🌳, perched up in one of the higher parts of the city. The observation deck is definitely worth checking out—you can climb up and take in some absolutely breathtaking views of the skyline 🏙️. A lot of elderly people 👵👴 love to hang out here, chatting and relaxing, making the atmosphere super chill. It’s a lovely place for a peaceful walk 🚶‍♂️, and even the restrooms are fancy! They have this cool, old Chinese house vibe 🏯, which adds to the charm. Definitely a spot to unwind and soak in some local culture!

The first time I visited Eling Park, I didn't have high hopes. After entering, I learned that many embassies of Chongqing were located here in the past. It is free to visit and you can look down at the Jialing River from a high vantage point.

A very beautiful and atmospheric place. But be prepared for a lot of walking up and down stairs. Beautiful old streets, lined with souvenir shops and street food. If you get away from the wide central street, you'll enjoy the walk more. The streets will be narrower, less crowded, and much more beautiful.

Choose one lodging, embrace the river views of an entire city. The hotel's aesthetic is high-end and grand, with open and spacious interiors. The room was clean and quiet, with well-appointed facilities; lying in bed, one could admire the scenery of both rivers. The service was warm and refined, with attention to detail that truly showed sincerity. In the evening, watching the sunset spread across the river, and at night, taking in the myriad of city lights, the travel-living vibe was completely immersive, leaving behind truly wonderful memories. The style was on point, and the experience exceeded expectations. The breakfast was also rich and varied. The hardware quality was outstanding, and the hygiene was impeccable. It was a very therapeutic stay experience, genuinely recommended.

Undoubtedly the best hotel in Chongqing! It's located in the iconic Raffles City, with a mall right downstairs. The room hardware is excellently maintained, and the soft furnishings and details give it a very homey feel. The service is proactive and enthusiastic, making for a great experience. The executive room mini-bar is complimentary and well-stocked, including Evian sparkling water and Tianfu Cola, plus a generous welcome amenity. The executive lounge is the biggest highlight. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour offerings are consistently outstanding, with the baked goods and desserts being particularly impressive. It definitely ranks among the top executive lounges in Chongqing. The only drawback is that getting a taxi during peak hours in the surrounding area can be congested, so I recommend calling one in advance. This is my top choice for accommodation in Chongqing, highly recommended!

I don't understand why InterContinental's service has declined so much. Aside from the breakfast restaurant, which maintained a decent standard, the overall room cleanliness, room service, and Chinese restaurant service were worse than those at entry-level Marriott hotels, let alone high-end brands known for their service. During my stay, they called to ask about my experience, and instead of just taking feedback, they kept trying to push small favors on me, constantly calling me while I was trying to enjoy my trip, which was very off-putting. The main dining area of the Chinese restaurant was completely empty, and the staff were just chatting idly. Check-in took 10 minutes, even with a whole line of front desk staff, it was still so slow. I really regret coming to Chongqing; the drop in quality from the Niccolo in Chengdu is just too significant.

My stay at InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City was excellent overall, and I particularly want to commend the concierge service (the handsome guy in the first photo, I didn't catch his name). As soon as I got out of the car, he proactively helped with my luggage. His attitude was warm and professional, and he was very familiar with the local traffic conditions and attractions. He patiently offered practical advice when I asked about places to eat and how to get a taxi, showing great attention to detail. The hotel is located within the Raffles City landmark. The Sky Lobby on the 42nd floor offers expansive views, and the river-view rooms overlook the confluence of the two rivers. The room itself was clean and tidy. The only minor downsides were the occasional queues for check-in during holidays and the somewhat convoluted layout inside the building. Overall, both the location and service were top-notch. The thoughtful service from the concierge significantly enhanced my trip to Chongqing, making it a worthwhile experience.

This truly lives up to its reputation as Chongqing's top family-friendly hotel, with luxury evident in every corner. The outdoor pool is an absolute savior for escaping the summer heat in Chongqing, a paradise for kids to play, and adults and children alike had a blast. The bedding is incredibly soft, ensuring a very restful sleep, and falling asleep to the sound of chirping insects at night was so comfortable. Definitely worth a second visit. My only regret was that breakfast was too crowded on the second day, and the noodles came out too slowly. Haha, but that's a minor flaw that doesn't detract from the overall experience.

Elegant Room (Double Bed)
This hotel is perfect for families with kids, and they genuinely listen to guest feedback. When I stayed in April, I suggested adding baby food options, and to my surprise, they had a selection available when I returned in August! The Chinese restaurant consistently delivers great dishes, making it ideal for a weekend getaway with the kids to relax on the mountain, while also enjoying a couple of drinks. The executive lounge also had a much wider variety of drinks this time, and the ladies working there were so enthusiastic about mixing cocktails for us. Bringing the kids to play in the water during summer and enjoying food and drinks at the hotel is truly fantastic. The hotel even thoughtfully upgraded my room and included complimentary breakfast. These little touches, where they spare no expense just to ensure customer satisfaction, will definitely be the motivation for me to return multiple times with my kids.

Guestroom - with View (Window, TV)
The location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a few minutes' walk to Bayi Pedestrian Street and Jiefangbei, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The front desk staff were very friendly and check-in was quick. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, and the soundproofing is good, so we slept wonderfully after a day out. Definitely my top choice for a trip to Chongqing, and I'll stay here again next time! Thumbs up for the nice room, which also had a window.

Great location, central and able to access local attractions well. Great service and support through online communication. Provided good tips to where to go and where to eat. Would recommend. Was able to go Wulong from here via high speed train. Great city.

Cozy Room (Double Bed)
The hotel is conveniently located near Jiefangbei, with a subway station right downstairs. It's only a 7-8 minute walk to the station, making overall transportation very accessible. Situated in the city center, you can easily walk to most attractions like the Shancheng Embankment and the 18 Steps. The front desk staff were also very friendly.
