When Does the KL MRT Run? Operating Hours Explained
- Standard Daily Hours: 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM (midnight), open every day including weekends and public holidays.
- Heads up for night owls! The final trains depart from terminal stations (Kwasa Damansara, Kajang, and Putrajaya Sentral) right at 12:00 AM sharp. If you're hopping on at an intermediate station, keep in mind that last train times vary between 12:00 AM and 12:30 AM, depending on your specific line and location. Plan your journey accordingly and enjoy your night out!

KL MRT fares are based on the distance you travel, and with a variety of payment options available, it’s easy for both tourists and daily commuters to get around!
One-way ticket

- Fare Range: Enjoy a single trip within the MRT network for as little as RM 1.20 (≈ AUD 0.45), up to a maximum of RM 6.20 (≈ AUD 2.35).
- Key Details: A refundable RM 0.20 deposit is included, which will be returned to you when you exit at your destination station. Please note that tickets are valid only on the day of purchase, and you must enter the station within 30 minutes of buying your ticket. You can easily purchase yours at any self-service ticketing machine (we accept cash, debit/credit cards, and Touch 'n Go).

- Perfect for: Multi-day adventures and travelers who plan on hopping between different transit modes like the MRT, LRT, monorail, and buses!
- Card Cost: There is a non-refundable issuance fee of RM 10 (≈ AUD 3.80), which does not include any initial credit. The minimum top-up amount is RM 10.

They provided excellent customer service without making us feel uncomfortable or overly formal, which made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of.
What impressed me most was their attention to detail and their warm attitude throughout our stay. Stayed at DoubleTree KL and, to my surprise, it’s actually inside a mall! 😆 Super convenient.
The room was superb, with a beautiful KL city view — and yes, you can see KLCC from the room! 🏙️The swimming pool and sauna were probably my favourite parts of the stay. There’s also a 24-hour gym, which is a big plus. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and of course, you get the signature DoubleTree cookies upon arrival. 🍪

Overall, it was a decent stay for our one night baby moon trip. We were able to check-in early than 3pm and the services are great from front desk and the room service.
The only thing that needed improvement is the cleanliness - the room is clean but upon check in, there are few bits and pieces of plastic or probably little clean up leftover from the house keeping. Not a big deal but if this can be further improved, it can definitely make the stay more great. Other than that, the only thing I'm not very satisfied is the pillows were too soft that it’s affected my sleep and slightly hurt my neck and shoulder. We booked this hotel based on the reviews but it was different from what we expected. We stayed there for a week and unfortunately, our initial room was right next to the elevator and had no windows. It was extremely noisy and we could hear everyone passing by in the hallway. Eventually, they moved us to another room which was a bit quieter.
Cleanliness was just okay, not great. We had to ask housekeeping to change the bedsheets because they were stained, and the bathroom cleanliness was also average. I read many reviews saying the area was unsafe, but after arriving, I realized it was mainly due to the market behind the hotel. We didn't encounter any safety issues during our stay, and walking around a few times was perfectly normal.
The hotel service was great. Housekeeping was thorough every day, and after breakfast, the staff would always greet and thank us. If your room doesn't include breakfast, you can buy it the night before for a 10 MYR discount per person; don't wait until the morning of. There's an outdoor infinity pool on the 25th floor with nice views.
My only complaints are about the room's soft furnishings, which felt a bit rough. The curtains weren't wide enough to fully cover the window, no matter how you pulled them. The bathroom door had a large gap, letting light through even when closed. Also, the shower area didn't have a door, so we had to use a towel to block the water when showering. The hotel environment is also quite good. Our room was very quiet as it had sealed windows. While not large, the room was well-equipped. The twin beds were a bit narrow but could be pushed together, which worked perfectly for a family of three.
Another plus is the Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, who were friendly and enthusiastic in helping Chinese guests with any issues. The hotel's swimming pool and gym are also decent, and breakfast was acceptable.

The room is spacious and clean. Perhaps our room is not facing the main road, we do get peaceful night rest (love it).
As we booked the executive club, we were entitled to the club benefits, where we enjoyed ourselves every evening with great snacks and drinks, served by Audray. He is cheerful and attentive. He is always ready to clear the table in a timely manner, and make sure we get the help we need.
In the morning, you can choose to have breakfast at level 3 cafe with a wider range of food choices, or you can choose to have a quiet breakfast in the lounge, served by White. Even though the food choice is lesser compared to the cafe, the food was yummy and sufficient.
The swimming pool is small, enough if you just want a quick dip. I am not a gym person, but it is available.
This hotel is connected to lalaport by bridge. Is convenient and easily accessible.

I booked the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre for F1 during the National Day holiday, knowing it would be late and hotel prices would be heavily inflated. I chose this Pullman after extensive research and comparing many reviews. However, right after booking, prices kept dropping due to the Indonesian haze… frustrating 😓.
The hotel itself is an older upscale chain with a certain sense of history. The facilities are quite dated; the overall decor, air conditioning, hairdryer, and iron all show their age, but they are maintained relatively cleanly. Noise is a major issue: 1) There's a construction site right outside the hotel. 2) The door gaps are very wide, offering no sound insulation (and I was given a room near the elevator, so I could hear people checking in late every night). 3) The air conditioning unit is old and makes a clunking noise when operating.
There are still some positives: The buffet breakfast offers a good variety and tastes decent, and there's plenty of seating, so you rarely have to queue. There's an outdoor pool and gym on the 10th floor, both well-maintained. The location is also quite good; Pavilion is just across the road, but note that you can't just walk straight across as there's no crosswalk. You have to walk about 300 meters to use the pedestrian bridge (the same bridge also leads directly to the Petronas Twin Towers).
Overall, it's decent. Shopping and dining in the vicinity are well-covered. However, the value for money significantly drops during holidays. If you can get it for a few hundred during off-peak times, it would be excellent value, given its prime location.FromTRY 4,709

The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from a major transportation hub, Pasar Seni station, which is a big metro interchange. Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and Pasar Seni Bus Hub are also nearby. Everything is connected by pedestrian walkways, which is very convenient. The hotel is located in Chinatown. Two famous Kuala Lumpur markets, Central Market and Petaling Street Market, are right next to it. Check-in was very quick. I liked the lobby with its stained-glass windows. I stayed on the 10th floor in room 1006. The view from my window was amazing, overlooking the Merdeka 118 tower and the famous Sri Mahamariamman Temple (where I unexpectedly stumbled upon an Indian wedding!). The room looked smaller than on the website, but it was cozy enough. It had everything necessary, including complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee, creamer, and sugar. The towels could do with being replaced. Hot water was always available, and there was shower gel and shampoo. Housekeeping was by request; you just needed to inform the reception. Since breakfast wasn't included in my rate, I had breakfast at the Mango Cafe in the hotel on the ground floor. The menu was limited, buffet-style, but I always found something to eat, and the coffee was good. Breakfast cost 22 ringgit and was served until 10:30 AM. The hotel's laundry service wasn't working as the machines were broken, but there's a paid 24/7 laundry service right across the street where you can wash and dry clothes, which is what everyone did. There are plenty of cafes and grocery stores (7-11, KK) nearby. Attractions are within walking distance, so you can take an evening stroll. The area feels safe, although there are harmless homeless people on the streets. Directly behind the hotel is a bus stop, which is stop number 17 Central Market on the Garden Route (Blue Line) of the KL Hop-on Hop-off tour bus. So if you decide to take this tour, you can catch the bus right outside the hotel. As I said, the hotel's location is simply ideal. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.FromTRY 1,664

The check-in experience was very good. Someone came to help push the luggage when I got of the bus. Although you can't check in early if you arrive early, you can also check in your luggage for free. During check-in, there are also staff to help deliver the luggage to the door of the room, and will also explain where to eat if you need a hotel buffet breakfast the next morning. Location is good. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Bukit Nanas Monorail. The room was great, and the washing machine and dryer were both functioning well. They also provided detergent, which was a nice touch.
I stayed in the single room while my parents stayed in the master bedroom. Overall, everything was great except for a very long/non-stop “beeeeeeeep” sound, especially at night.
For people who are sensitive to noise, this might be quite annoying, as it was for me. I’m not sure where the sound came from, but I could only hear it when I was in my room, not in the toilet. Maybe it was coming from the air conditioner. When I switched the aircond off or set the temperature around 23–24°C, the sound disappeared. TLDR: Ceylonz is a great hotel, but the provider (Five Senses) is not. Book a different provider if you want to stay at Ceylonz.

Initial room conditions:
When we first entered the room we encountered these things:
- Leftover jacket from the previous guest(?)
- stains on the chairs
- water stains on the wardrobe
- dead ants in the wardrobe
- a flickering light
Service:
Because we chose to stay for 7 nights, we had a 1 free make-up room offered to us which we appreciated. However when we flagged up the issues we found on the first day, they gave us a make-up room on the second day and consumed our free make-up room without our choice. We wanted to use it in the middle of the trip like the 4th day. Because of this we had no toilet paper, tissue box was empty, towels were not replaced.
After the 2nd day, they no longer replied to our texts when we enquired about using the sports lounge, requesting a makeup room, getting more toilet paper. Very bad service.
After their make-up room, they removed the jacket and cleaned the seat stains, but they did not fix the light or clean the dead ants in the wardrobe. We understand fixing a light might not be possible but the ants were easily removable and we did it ourselves after they left. It felt like they were cutting corners as they also did not replace our tissue box, clean the dead ants or clean the water stains on the wardrobe.
Ceylonz:
The hotel comes with

- amazing location, walking distance from Bukit Bintang's Pavilion
Room:
- the amenities provided are not the same for every room, the last time we came there was a water dispenser and pull-out kitchen, this time there isn't (same five senses at ceylonz, same room type)
- spacious
- tall ceiling
- well equipped
- bay window
- the walls are relatively soundproof so you cannot hear other rooms but the door is not and the hallway is very audible from inside the room, we can hear people chatting, checking in, pulling luggages
Bed:
- not soft, hard bed with springs
- pillows and blanket is okay
- uncomfortable bed
We would have given this place a glowing review if they:
- Stuck to their 1 complimentary makeup room offered
- service: replied to our enquiries at all after the 2nd day

The hotel gave a great first impression. The lobby smelled amazing and had a luxurious feel, and all the receptionists and staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking is available in front of the hotel, but I opted for valet parking at RM30 for 24 hours.
The room was a little small but still comfortable and acceptable. Bed and pillow was extremely good. We got complimentary water and KitKat in the fridge, and the bathroom was spacious. The shower and toilet are separated, but the biggest downside for me was that there was no bidet in the toilet. 😅
The kids’ club was great and my child really enjoyed it. We didn’t get a chance to try the pool. Breakfast was really delicious with plenty of choices. My personal favourite was the nasi impit with kuah kacang — so good!
I also requested a complimentary anniversary cake. It took quite a while and I had to call a few times to follow up, but we finally received it on the second day. Thankfully, the cake was really delicious! Room cleaning was also a bit slow. We requested housekeeping in the morning while my husband took our child to the kids’ club, but when we came back around 1pm, the room still hadn’t been cleaned. We were told there weren’t enough staff.
Overall, we had a great staycation here and would definitely consider coming back. Everything was great except for the toilet with no bidet. 😅FromTRY 3,985

Booked a staycation here specifically to catch the Pokémon 30th Anniversary event at KLCC Park, and the location could not be more strategic! Easy access to KLCC, plus they even provide a buggy service directly to the mall.
The room was clean and well-equipped, but the highlight was definitely the view. It was absolutely majestic overlooking KLCC. Watching the Pokémon drone show right from our room window was an unforgettable experience, and the kids enjoyed every second of it!
Since we spent most of our time out catching Pokémon, we didn't get to visit the pool. But honestly, no complaints at all because the room had a bathtub, which kept the kids super happy!
Food-wise, everything was on point:
Club Lounge: Chefs were quick to refill the spread even though it was super busy.
Gobo Chit Chat Restaurant: The breakfast buffet spread was good and more than enough to start the day.
A special shoutout to the male staff at the Club Lounge reception during our check-in. Excellent service from check-in to check-out! He constantly checked on us to make sure our family was comfortable and enjoying the food. I forgot to catch his name, but thank you so much for taking such great care of us!

This is an established luxury hotel, centrally located in the business district. It's directly opposite Pavilion Mall, and close to Lot 10, Starhill, and Jalan Alor, among other malls and attractions. However, it's a bit of a distance from the Petronas Twin Towers, so you'll need to take a taxi.
Overall, the hotel is great. I didn't find the decor outdated; instead, it has a subtle sense of luxury. The service attitude was excellent. Even though I initially didn't realize tipping was expected, the service remained attentive. I later observed that the hotel staff maintain the same helpful and enthusiastic attitude towards carrying luggage, regardless of whether they receive a tip or not.

There's a Chinese-speaking front desk. For the 100 MYR room deposit, it's best to pay in cash for a quicker refund. Be absolutely sure to pay attention to this! The price when booking on the platform already included taxes! But when I got my deposit back, they still deducted tax! We stayed at this hotel a few years ago, and returning this time with our family was such a wonderful surprise. The hotel has been newly renovated, and we were truly in awe of how beautiful everything looked!
The hospitality was exceptional, the food was great, and the location made it easy to access the malls nearby. We especially recommend staying in the Club Premium rooms, where you can enjoy a more private breakfast setting and refreshments served at the clubhouse.
Every staff member was incredibly friendly, always smiling and greeting us warmly. We genuinely felt so welcomed throughout our stay.

Booking Shaw's Inn was definitely the best decision I made on this trip! It's located on the edge of Bukit Bintang. The hotel is probably a four-star, a little bit old but offers excellent value for money. The top floor has a swimming pool and a gym. You can even see half of the Twin Towers' night view from inside the hotel. There's a Starbucks right at the front desk, and the rooms come with a mini-fridge, welcome drinks, and a coffee machine. The breakfast was also fantastic; I booked a room with breakfast for two people for just over 400. Downstairs, there's a super delicious chicken rice place, and the durian stall (called Yes) across the street is incredibly tasty and cheap. Across the road is a 7-Eleven, but I highly recommend the local supermarket called KK instead – everything there is much cheaper than 7-Eleven, including food and drinks. So, it perfectly met all my basic needs. The main thing is, it's easy to get a taxi! Very convenient for getting around! The service attitude was also great. Highly recommended. Quite a surprise! I booked this hotel last minute, and the price was great. After checking in, I found it to be very clean and much quieter than the hotel next door. It has a pool, and when you store your luggage, they give you a proper tag, unlike other hotels where they just haphazardly leave it at the front desk. Banyan Tree does not disappoint. The zen-like retreat atmosphere and the super attentive staff reminds me of the first trip I made here last year. Right from the start at check in, you are well taken care of with the welcome package - the iced hibiscus tea and cookie and towel. Then you proceed to choose your scent for your room. Special kudos to the wellness initiatives on the TV, just a tad pity that the physical activities were not available.

Nice Room with a Lovely KL Tower View
I had a pleasant stay at Flora by Crossroads Hotel. I stayed on the first floor in a room facing the main road, with a lovely view of KL Tower. The room itself was comfortable and suitable for a short stay.
The hot shower worked well and was one of the things I enjoyed during my stay. The bathroom could use a little more attention in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. There were some visible stains on the walls and floor, the basin was draining slowly, and the toilet had a minor leakage issue.
Just a small reminder for the housekeeping team to remember to replace the complimentary drinking water for the next guest, as it may have simply been overlooked during room preparation.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and especially the KL Tower view. With a little more attention to bathroom cleanliness, maintenance and room preparation, the overall guest experience could be even better.FromTRY 813
