We had a great 4-night stay at this hotel. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, making our arrival very convenient. While the room looked a bit dated, it was well-maintained, clean, and cozy—more than comfortable enough for a relaxing stay.
The location is definitely a highlight, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. As a bonus, we even had a partial view of the Petronas Twin Towers from our room, which added a nice touch to the overall experience.
The price was also reasonable for what the hotel offers, making it a good value choice.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay.FromAU$78

Had an amazing 2-night stay at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur and it was truly unforgettable ❤️
We were celebrating our anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with complimentary cake and chocolates — totally unexpected and such a sweet gesture! My husband honestly thought I planned it myself 😆
A special thank you to Ms Affie and Ms Hema for their excellent service and thoughtful arrangement. It really meant a lot to us.
We stayed in the Superior King Room, which was very spacious, comfortable, and gave us the perfect relaxing vibe. It honestly felt like we were reliving our honeymoon all over again 🥹✨

We truly enjoyed my stay at PARK ROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The location is fantastic and made everything so convenient for us, whether it was shopping, exploring, or just getting around the city.
What really made the stay special was the wonderful service from the entire team. The door staff greeted us with warm smiles, the front desk handled our check-in smoothly and kindly, and the buffet staff were always friendly and attentive. Everyone we met made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.
Our room was spacious, spotless and very well maintained. Housekeeping did an amazing job everything was clean, neat, and thoughtfully prepared. It really made us feel relaxed and at home. The level of cleanliness was excellent and definitely stood out.
We also enjoyed the food, which had a nice variety and was very satisfying. Overall, the experience felt pleasant, comfortable, and welcoming in every way.
Thank you to the whole team for such a lovely stay. We left with great memories and would happily return again in the future.FromAU$120

Great location, right across Pavilion KL and convenient for exploring the city. Stayed in King Deluxe 18th floor — the room was comfortable after a mattress topper was added, as the bed was initially too firm. Amenities were basic (no magnifying mirror or scale), and breakfast pastries were underwhelming, though the hotel bakery is excellent with a 50% discount after 6pm.
Staff were polite, helpful, and attentive. I also received a lovely wedding anniversary cake, which was a very nice touch and much appreciated. Overall, Pullman KL delivers on location and service but lacks the usual Pullman “wow” factor.
For sunset views or nightlife, visit Vertigo on the 59th floor at Banyan Tree, right next door — highly recommended.FromAU$128

Everything you'd expect from JWMarriot. The people standout- spontaneous smiles & greetings abound. The rooms are comfortable but have seen better days. You'd have to peer closer to notice, so on the surface is still very acceptable. The toilets have rain showers and amenities one would expect. The bar is equipped with a mini fridge & the usual selection of teas and Nespresso. The TV is large & modern but the cable channels are somewhat spartan with only a smattering of international channels. There is Chromecast available with the Samsung TVs. The beds are comfortable, on the stiffer side so good for bad backs & the pillows are fluffy and soft. There's a spa & sauna, a 24 hr gym & a rather dated but functional & large swimming pool. The breakfasts are typical of a reputable Asian hotel- local fare mixed with more traditional Continental food selections.FromAU$154

I booked this hotel room on a last minute decision and it turned out to be the best decision for the trip! First off, the location was really good, just a 7-10 min walk to pavillion, and bukit bintang. And if you walk using the back door of the hotel, there’s an overhead bridge that links all the way to KLCC which was about a 10 min walk too. The service was superb, dinesh from the front desk granted us an early check in which was really good after a long drive! And the rooms were spectacularly clean, spacious and comfortable! We didn’t take the breakfast option since we wanted to head out to eat, but the buffet seemed really tempting each time we walked past it. All in all, it was a brilliant stay for my family. I was so pleased with the location of this hotel, it’s in the klcc park area and across from Patronas tower, if you’re trying to avoid the humid / a sudden downpour, you can use the convention center enclosed hallways and then go down an escalator to reach the Suria mall via an underpass, you can even walk all the way to Bukit bintang using this underpass, just make sure you go straight and don’t turn left for suria. If you don’t feel like walking a buggy awaits you to drop you off at klcc suria mall, which is really convenient. I had a very pleasant check in with Amandra who was informative and lovely. The room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable and pillows so soft, I loved sinking into them after a long day of touring ( getting lost mostly) The bathroom was clean but I think special attention should be paid to the shower area, that can be cleaned by soaking it in bleach or some detergent as there was moss on the floor and water stains on the door, above the shower door is a gap that tiny flies come through and dirt falls into the bathtub besides that the room smelled good and there was no sewer smells from the bathroom. I would definitely come back to this hotel when I visit again, perhaps a better room next time with a view and a hope that shower areas are better tended too, I’ve found it lacking in almost every hotel I went to in Kuala Lumpur now. Langkawi seems to be better in this regard. Thank you for a wonderful stay.FromAU$177

Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur – A Wonderful Stay in the Heart of the City The hotel is beautifully located in the Golden Triangle, just across from Pavilion KL, with stunning views of the Petronas Twin Towers. It’s slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of Bukit Bintang, yet still close enough for easy access — a perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. Upon check-in, guests are offered a selection of incense and essential oils for their room — a lovely and thoughtful personal touch. We stayed in the Signature Banyan Retreat, which was cozy, comfortable, and came with all the amenities you’d expect, plus a beautiful view of KL’s night skyline. We did encounter a minor issue on our first night when the room’s light switches stopped working, including the master switch. The maintenance engineer arrived promptly, even though it was close to midnight, and quickly resolved the issue with a system reset. Really appreciate how efficient and polite he was! We also dined at Torito, the hotel’s Peruvian-Japanese restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The ceviche clásico is a must-try — so refreshing and full of flavor. The lomo saltado featured perfectly cooked medium-rare beef tenderloin, and the stone ceviche, a warm twist on the classic, was equally impressive. Unfortunately, we were too full to try dessert, but the attentive service made the meal memorable. Special thanks to Izat (Front Desk), Hakim (Breakfast), and all the other staff members whose names we didn’t catch, for their warmth, patience, and genuine hospitality. FAQs about KL MRT
What’s the difference between KL MRT and LRT?
MRT is a high-capacity, long-distance mass rapid transit system with fewer stops, faster speeds, and coverage across the wider Klang Valley (including Putrajaya). LRT is a light rail system with shorter routes, more frequent stops, and focus on inner KL and nearby suburban neighbourhoods. Can I pay for KL MRT rides with a credit/debit card?
You can use a debit/credit card to purchase single journey tokens at self-service ticketing machines. Direct tap-to-pay with bank cards on fare gates is not widely available for the KL MRT; Touch 'n Go cards or single journey tokens are the primary payment methods.Does the KL MRT go directly to KLIA/KLIA2 airport?
No, the KL MRT network does not have a direct station at KLIA or klia2. The fastest way to reach the airport is via the KLIA Express from KL Sentral (accessible via the Kajang Line’s Muzium Negara station). Are there luggage restrictions on the KL MRT?
There are no strict size/weight limits for tourist luggage, but you must ensure your bags do not block aisles, doors, or other passengers. Oversized cargo is prohibited. Can I transfer between MRT lines and other rail services without a new ticket?
Yes. For integrated transfers between MRT lines, LRT, and monorail, you do not need to exit the fare gates or buy a new ticket. Your fare will be calculated based on the total journey distance when you exit at your final destination. What is the cheapest way to ride the KL MRT as a tourist?
For a single trip, a single journey token is the simplest option. For multi-day trips with multiple rides, a Touch 'n Go card is more convenient and offers a small fare discount.
