Yun He Ye Bo Hotel (Xi'an Zhonggulou South Gate)

The hotel environment isn't luxurious, but it is very clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering free laundry service, complimentary sweet soup (dessert), and a free shuttle to the Terracotta Army. However, these aren't even the hotel's most outstanding features. What satisfied me the most was how wonderful every single staff member is. Whether I remember their names or not (Baozi, Mango, and maybe Peach, Orange, Apple, Tangyuan... 🤭), every single staff member was extremely sincere, patient, and warm-hearted. It was that sense of warmth that touched me and my family. On the night before we left, my parents were tired from sightseeing and wanted to dine in the room. I ordered a portion of rice and asked for three pairs of chopsticks. The restaurant attendant brought up a bowl of rice along with two empty bowls—she deduced from my request for three pairs of chopsticks that three people were dining, and proactively provided two extra empty bowls. I hadn't even thought of that myself, but the attendant did. I was deeply touched. The staff at Yunhe Hotel not only anticipate the guests' needs, but they even think of things the guests haven't thought of yet. After returning home, I kept talking to my family about how much I love Xi'an's culture, and the attitude of all the staff at Yunhe Hotel is one of the reasons I love Xi'an. Next time I need a hotel, I think I will look for Yunhe's chain hotels in other cities first.

The room was clean, tidy, and offered a great view. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The service was warm and welcoming, and the front desk guy even gave us a free room upgrade. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. The surrounding area is very convenient for transportation. Awesome!

I had a deeply impressive stay this time! After checking out, I was in a rush and left my portable charger in the room. Long after I had left the hotel, the housekeeping staff found it and immediately notified the front desk. The front desk called me right away, kept it safe for me, and later successfully mailed it back to me. This small gesture was especially heartwarming; it didn't feel like standard, polite service, but rather genuine thoughtfulness for the guests. The room was clean and quiet, the bedding was comfortable, and the front desk was very responsive. Highly recommended, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Xi'an!

Beautiful boutique hotel hidden on the last 3 floors on a high building at the center of the walled city. Very convenient and very quiet. Nice rooftop with swimming pool, bar, view point on the bell tower. Room was elegantly design and spacious. The service is amazing, very efficient yet patiente and talored to your needs. The staffed recommended us great restaurants and show. Joy served us a very nice cocktail at the bar. Food was delicious and lots of complementary snacks and drinks. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that come to Xi'an. Wonderful!

Five stars for this hidden gem, ECHARM! The terrace room we booked was such a pleasant surprise. Sitting on the terrace in the evening, feeling the breeze and taking in the views of the ancient city instantly melted away the fatigue of a whole day of sightseeing. Dealing with dirty travel clothes is always a hassle, but the hotel even offers laundry service and delivers them right back to your room—a total lifesaver for lazy travelers! The location is absolutely fantastic, with various attractions nearby. When you're tired from walking, it's so easy to head back to the hotel to rest. The service was attentive and gentle. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Xi'an!

The Staffs were very very helpful in helping to recommend tours, local travelling to tourists' places , what to see for tourists i.e. us. They recommended where to taste local authentic foods even to beware of fraudsters, eat healthy and spend worthy etc. The hotel, Ibilis was wonderful and up to standard for locals and international tourists. We appreciated the staffs' courteous ways of dealing with tourists (both local and international i.e us included. The hotel is at the right location to many touristic places and local /international food places too. We like to stay again in this hotel, Ibilis Hotel when we come as a family again and also recommend to our extended families, friends and travel companions! Bravo!

Traveling during the National Day holiday, the subway is definitely the most convenient option. The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to the Bell Tower. It's super easy to find – just exit D of Metro Line 2 and turn right. It takes about 40 minutes by subway to Xi'an North High-speed Railway Station. The Kaiyuan Mall nearby offers great photo opportunities of the Bell and Drum Towers. And the Chang'an Grand Restaurant (with its lantern festival decor) right outside the mall is amazing; they have all the local specialties. I actually preferred Chang'an Grand Restaurant over Drunken Chang'an. Overall, the hotel service was good. Our family suite was spacious, and the hotel has a charming retro style. The electric kettle was an instant-heating type with a retro look, but it wasn't very functional, so I was glad I brought my own. The hairdryer was indeed a Dyson. The hotel even provides disposable bathtub covers for a relaxing soak. The bathroom was also thoughtfully designed with hooks for hanging clothes. The only minor downside was that the toilet didn't have a bidet function. For those who prioritize quality and enjoy local cuisine, I highly recommend eating breakfast outside the hotel. The hotel breakfast is just filling, nothing special! The breakfast at several Halal restaurants in Gaojia Courtyard Alley was excellent. I tried the *hulatang* (spicy soup) and beef *guantangbao* (soup dumplings), and both were delicious. From the hotel, you can easily do a city walk around the Bell and Drum Towers, hitting several classic spots like Fenxiang, Defuxiang, Xiangzi Temple, Gaojia Courtyard, and Shuyuanmen. I averaged 20,000 steps daily! The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to the Terracotta Army, which you can book on the first floor for 40 RMB round trip per person. Xi'an has a strong service culture!

Fantastic stay! The room is spacious with a well-designed three-way separate wet and dry bathroom, and the facilities are very well-maintained. It was extremely comfortable. Although I initially thought the color scheme wasn't really my style, it actually felt very harmonious once inside. The location is also top-notch. The city wall is right outside the doorstep—perfect for renting a bike and riding along the top. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and it's just a little over a ten-minute walk to the Forest of Stone Tablets Museum.

Fantastic hotel with spacious rooms. The pillows and bed were very comfortable, which is the best thing you can ask for as a traveler. I was originally going to book a hotel near the Datang Everbright City, but after checking the prices and reviews, I decided on this one. It's very close to the elevated highway on the second day and not far from the Everbright City either. Their breakfast, in particular, is genuinely amazing. Renaissance has always been a top-tier hotel brand, and even though they were acquired by Marriott, they’ve maintained their high standards of service and quality. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Xi'an. The room photos look exactly like the promotional pictures, so I won't bother uploading more.

Xi'an Meitu Villa Apartment (Wanda Plaza Daming Palace)

The homestay we stayed in this time really exceeded our expectations! Opposite is the Daming Palace National Park, with a superior location and prosperous business. It is close to the subway entrance, and is a few stops away from the Bell Tower and the Tang Dynasty City that Never Sleeps, which is more convenient than driving. Nearby is the lively night market street of Wanda Plaza, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. The community is of high quality, the lobby is luxurious and atmospheric, the rooms are spacious and bright, with a light luxury style and exquisite design. The large flat with five bedrooms, two living rooms and three bathrooms is very practical, and it was just enough to accommodate our group of more than ten people! It is also equipped with a fully automatic mahjong machine, which added a lot of fun to our leisure time. It was as warm and comfortable as at home, and it was a very pleasant travel experience.
