"The hotel is about 1 kilometer from Shinjuku Station and a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station. The surrounding area has excellent amenities. The room was a bit larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms, and the cleanliness and facilities were perfectly adequate, completely meeting my expectations. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Tokyo."

"The staff here is very friendly. The hotel doesn’t offer much other than a place to sleep. Like most of Tokyo, the rooms are very small and not luxurious. If you want to be close to the bustling life of Shinjuku at an affordable price, it’s a great stay. If you’re looking for a staycation in a cozy hotel, perhaps not for you."

"The apartment was very clean and big enough for our family of 4. Just that the centre hanging light near the bed is too low and we bang our head afew times. As is very near the street, every night we can hear the police sirens and noise outside very clearly. The rack behind the washer keeps falling down so is a bit dangerous if you have stuff on the rack. Other than tat the apartment is very clean and nice. Location is good also with donki and convenience stall nearby."

"An older-style hotel in the center of Shinjuku, and it was quite a unique experience since I had never been in this type of hotel before. Everything was very compact—I honestly felt like I was staying in a small cabin on a ship. I would definitely like to praise the cleanliness of the hotel. Everything was spotless, and I have no complaints in that regard. The bed and pillows, however, were quite firm. I think the hotel could improve the mattresses and pillows to make them more comfortable. Breakfast was served as a buffet. While it was decent, I believe the selection could be improved, as the food was the same every day and lacked variety. One more thing I have to mention is the smell in the hotel lobby near the reception area—it was extremely unpleasant. Many guests seemed to cover their noses and hurry through the lobby because of it. The combination of odors was quite overwhelming and made me feel nauseous."

"Comfortable one-night stay at Shinjuku Granbell Hotel — great location and clean, modern rooms. One useful tip for anyone driving: there’s parking available nearby that you can either reserve in advance for around ¥2,000 per night, or just drive in without a reservation and pay by the hour (rates around ¥1,700 for 8 hours at the lot near the hotel). Made it really convenient for our road trip stop before heading north. Would recommend for travelers exploring Shinjuku by car."

"had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gracery Shinjuku! The location is perfect—right in the heart of Shinjuku, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, convenience stores, and public transportation. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. Despite being in a busy area, the room was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo."

"The location, room, and services provided are good. They provide room cleaning service every 4 days, but provide clean towels and 2 bottles of water on a daily basis. However, I would say their breakfast needs major improvements. Every day the same food was provided. We stayed there for 5 days and saw exactly the same food every day (less than 10 options, and this is including salad side dishes). The breakfast time is 7-9 am, the canteen will not refill food by 8:30 and also starts cleaning up the coffee machines, etc., meaning if you reach the place by 8:30, there will just be ice water and bread left. So if you want to book this hotel, better not to include breakfast, save the money and get something from Lawson / 7-11 which are very nearby the hotel."

"Fantastic location! It's super convenient to get to anywhere in Shinjuku, and the airport limousine bus drops you off right at the hotel's doorstep. There's a convenience store on the first floor, so no need to worry about late arrivals. Both check-in and check-out were fully self-service, no staff needed, and the system had a Chinese interface, so no worries there. I chose a smoking room, and while the window was small, the view directly overlooked the Metropolitan Government Building, which was excellent. I went to Lake Suwa in the middle of my trip for the fireworks festival – what a wonderful experience! Thank you. Next time I come to Tokyo, I think I'll still choose this place. The value for money is just too good!"

"1. The hotel is about 300 meters from Kabukicho, making it very convenient for exploring Shinjuku. 2. Seibu Shinjuku Station is right downstairs, but keep in mind this is not the same as JR Shinjuku Station. JR Shinjuku is a bit of a walk, and Shinjuku Station itself is huge. It takes about 15 minutes to get from the hotel to board a train at JR Shinjuku. If you have a large suitcase, I'd recommend taking a taxi from JR Shinjuku or transferring to Seibu Shinjuku Station via another train, rather than walking. 3. The hotel rooms are quite small, typical for Japan. A double room consists of two beds and a nightstand, and you're at the door in about five steps. There's only enough space near the entrance to open a 26-inch suitcase, and once it's open, the door can't open completely (good for safety at night, but you'll have to squeeze out sideways). 4. Breakfast is good, but expect queues. 5. The lobby on B1 has a quiet area suitable for working."

"It's perfect for families, with a washing machine, dining table and chairs, and a very comfortable bed. It's a duplex, so while the kids sleep upstairs, the adults can relax downstairs and have a drink – everyone has their own space. There's a parking lot across the street; it's the cheapest of the nearby paid parking lots at ¥1200 per day, which is very reasonable."
