"I had a last-minute business trip and needed a hotel near Beijing airport, so I chose the Yuanhang International Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by their excellent service! It's only a 10-minute drive to the airport, and they offer free shuttle service, which is incredibly convenient for transit passengers. The breakfast spread was also very generous, and there were even two adorable alpacas in the garden! My room was spotless, and the bed was super comfortable. They offer late-night snacks like rice noodles, regular noodles, wontons, and congee – I especially loved their spicy rice noodles. So, no worries about arriving late and having nothing to eat. Plus, the room came with complimentary fruit and yogurt. The value for money is fantastic! This will definitely be my go-to hotel for future layovers."

"I stayed at a Siheyuan (courtyard house) near Qianmen with my child and father, and it truly felt like quintessential Beijing! First off, the location is incredibly convenient. It's nestled in a hutong on Qianmen East Street, offering a quiet escape amidst the bustling city. A short walk around the corner takes you to Qianmen Pedestrian Street, and Dashilar is easily reachable on foot. Taking a taxi to Tiananmen or the Forbidden City costs just the minimum fare, which is a huge relief when traveling with elderly parents and children – no hassle at all. Secondly, the courtyard itself is absolutely charming. Stepping through the gate, you're greeted by a classic Old Beijing Siheyuan, with its grey bricks, dark tiles, and covered walkways, all centered around a large tree. In the morning, with the sun streaming into the courtyard, enjoying a bowl of congee feels incredibly leisurely. The room, though not large, is exquisitely designed, with comfortable bedding and a bathroom featuring a separate shower and toilet, complete with a smart toilet. Thirdly, the service was wonderfully attentive. The young lady at the front desk, seeing we had elderly parents and a child, proactively helped us with our luggage. Breakfast was abundant, and they even gave us a small gift when we checked out – excellent! Overall, if you want to experience an Old Beijing Siheyuan without compromising on comfort, this place is truly ideal. It's especially perfect for families traveling with parents and children, offering both charm and convenience."

"This hotel offers great value for money. We booked a family room, and there was plenty of space for our family of three to sleep comfortably by combining the tatami mats. It has a courtyard, which was a nice spot to relax in the evening. It's about a kilometer from both Jinsong Station and Panjiayuan Station. The surrounding area is an older part of the city, quite peaceful with more elderly residents and no chaotic noise. Housekeeping was prompt every day, and they even provided special disposable slippers for our child. They also gave us a small gift when we checked out. Overall, it was a great stay, and we'd definitely consider coming back."

"This is one of the more nicely appointed hotels I’ve seen at this price point and the attempts by management to bling up the decor doesn’t feel tacky. The toilet is auto flush via sensors, so don’t be surprised to find no flush handle. There was plenty of space for one person in this room, with its loft concept. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet in the morning was solid, even though it was largely repetitive. The only thing I can knock it for is the lack of safe in the room, my complementary breakfast I made at booking wasn’t reflected on their end, and the fact it’s in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, so a distance away from the main tourist areas. However, I wanted a hotel in between Capital Airport and the tourist areas, so I was satisfied."

"The service is excellent, and the reception staff are really nice. Even though the front desk is small, they offer thoughtful touches like complimentary tea and drinks. The room isn't huge, but it's standard for Beijing, comparable to similarly-rated hotels in Europe or the US, and the facilities are very modern. The environment is quiet, and there are many international guests, especially now during Beijing's peak tourist season. Foreigners are friendly."

There were plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making for a relaxed and pleasant stay throughout. A top choice for family travel. My overall experience this time was just okay, and I hope the hotel can improve on a few points: there were some missed spots in the room's cleaning, some facilities showed signs of age, and the soundproofing wasn't great, making it easy to be disturbed by outside noise at night, which affected my sleep quality."
