Couldnt hv expected more from it. Nice staff, decent neighbourhood, good breakfast. The balcony is a plus point and i would def choose to stay here again

Close proximity to train station. Rooms are big and clean with complimentary water, coffee provided in room. Good breakfast provided.

Stayed for 7 days, the room was very quiet, the breakfast was very rich, there was a beehive. The front desk service was not very good, I don't speak English well, they were a bit rude. I didn't know how to get to the room on the first day, and they didn't introduce it. I had to walk around the lobby for a few times.

A great value hotel! The service was average, but after one night, we discovered the refrigerator in our room wasn't working, so the staff offered to move us.

There was plenty of space, including a sofa bed, so even with a child, it wasn't cramped.

The hotel is conveniently connected to the central train station by the S-Bahn, and the room rates are much cheaper than those near the central train station. The S1 line is a 5-10 minute walk away, connecting you directly to the airport without changing trains.

The room was a bit stained, but housekeeping cleared the trash and vacuumed every day, so the cleanliness was generally good.

The front desk service was good. They let me check in early and called a taxi for me when I left the hotel. There is a supermarket across the street. The transportation is convenient. It is very close to the Olympic Center and quiet.

Clean and tidy, the breakfast is slightly monotonous, but the transportation is very convenient. There is a supermarket near the subway station.

Very clean hotel, very kind staff. Thanks to the lady at the reception from the morning of May 22, 2024! The room is exactly what you need for a tourist stay. The bus station is in front of the hotel and connects with the metro and other means of transport. There is also night transport. Several grocery stores and small restaurants nearby. I will definitely come back.

However... the location was disappointingㅜㅜ Since I was traveling by rental car, I chose a hotel with good cost-effectiveness, but if you are a backpacker, I recommend finding a place to stay in the city~

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, though a bit old. We didn't try the food but enjoyed their coffee. The service was fine, and the hotel felt cozy. Since we spent most of our time outside and only returned to sleep, we can't judge everything, but it was a pleasant stay.

However, there was an issue with a fire alarm at 6 AM, which turned out to be a false alarm caused by steam from a guest’s shower. This incident startled my family and disrupted our sleep. While the staff and fire team acted quickly, it seemed excessive to bring four fire trucks for a false alarm. I hope they improve the system to prevent such disruptions in the future.

Also, it would be more convenient if items like tissue boxes, slippers, and toothbrushes were available in the room, instead of having to request everything from the reception.

Bathroom had no shower, shower only sitting in the bathtub possible. Bathroom untreated, dirty bed layer on one of the beds. However, would be changed to note immediately.

A very clean hotel, staff are very nice and friendly.  Location is another highlight, located right next to Overamstel station, very convenient if you want to go some other cities or Amsterdam Central as you can always go to Amstel station

Overall, this was a great stay. The staff were lovely, the rooms were neat and tidy, the amenities were great. We didn’t take advantage of the rooftop in the evening but they did have a rooftop cinema evening which seemed cool whilst the breakfast also was very good. The gym was brand new which was great and the sauna although red light and not as hot as it could be was fine and clean. The views in the room were incredible and access into the CBD was easy to use the tram (tap on and off with your card). Little further out than I would have liked for the city but being there a few days meant we could explore more. They had lots going on and many people to help.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Eden Hotel in Amsterdam, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. Its location is fantastic, nestled conveniently near key attractions, making it easy to explore the vibrant city.

One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning view from my room, which overlooked the river. Waking up to the serene waters was truly a treat. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed during my visit.

Absolutely brilliant ! Booked a single room but got a lovely double with a window. Great online check in/out system.  So easy to take the 397 bus from and to the airport to a minutes walk away from hotel and very convenient to walk into downtown attractions whilst being nicely away from the hustle and bustle. Front desk staff lovely, let me leave my bags in locked store room after I checked out while I strolled around town before an evening flight. Would thoroughly recommend for an Amsterdam city break.

Went in mid-November, the hotel was very warm and the front desk was nice. The little brother who did not bring slippers also gave two pairs of slippers very well, which turned out to be unworthy. The hotel is very close to the tram station Artis, you can take line 14 to the central station.

I have stayed in this hotel many times. It is close to the train station and only one stop away from the central station in the city center. It has a unique old building with a sense of design. The rooms on the ground floor are the largest and get smaller as you go upstairs. The top floor is a spire loft, and Pillar. The dark-skinned young waitress at the front desk had a very bad attitude. Because I had stayed there many times, I specifically made a note when booking that I didn’t want a room on the top floor because I was tall and had a lot of big luggage, but she gave me one when I checked in. The room on the top floor is not accessible by elevator. You have to take the elevator to the third floor and then walk down the steep wooden stairs with two large suitcases. I asked to change rooms. I made a note of my request when booking. She said You can't change, and the requirements in the remarks may not be met. I said that I can wait until other rooms are cleaned before I change. She insisted that I can't change, you can only stay in this room, and her attitude was very rude. I was in a hurry to go out, so I had to put down my luggage and go out to do errands. After I came back, I went to the front desk to complain to the manager, saying that I was treated rudely and with hidden racial discrimination, which I found unacceptable. The tall male manager immediately apologized and moved us to a room on a lower floor. The other staff at the hotel are very friendly, especially the middle-aged female manager at the front desk and the tall general manager.

We had an incredible stay at the Jan Luyken Amsterdam Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect—tucked away in a charming neighborhood, yet just steps from the city’s shopping and museums.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to start the day right. We also loved the thoughtful touch of complimentary drinks and snacks available throughout the day—such a wonderful perk!
This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

Just steps away from the underground Metro station.
Within walking distance from Deutsche Oper - catch a  brilliant performance and walk safely back to your room! Breakfast is great, we love it!
I sent my clothes for washing and they came back all good.

The front desk clerk was very nice and patiently answered some questions.
The breakfast was very rich, with bread, eggs, ham, salad, etc. all very delicious, and the supply was also very timely. If it was gone, it would be replenished in time.

Facilities: No air conditioning, the room is very high and comfortable

Environment: There are restaurants and supermarkets downstairs, convenient transportation

Pros:

Breakfast Chocolate Croissant: The hotel's breakfast was outstanding, especially their chocolate croissant, which is simply a delicacy not to be missed. You can feel the freshly baked soft dough and rich chocolate filling in every bite, which is definitely a great start to the day.
Terrace: The hotel's terrace environment is very comfortable and overlooks the beautiful scenery of the city. Whether it is enjoying the sunshine in the morning or admiring the night view in the evening, the terrace provides a peaceful and beautiful space, perfect for relaxing.
Service: The hotel's service is very thoughtful. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very smooth. The room service is also timely and meets our various needs.
Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped, the room is clean and tidy, and the bed is comfortable. The gym and other public facilities are also well maintained and very convenient to use.
Location: The hotel is located in the city center, within walking distance of many major attractions and public transportation hubs. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure visit, the location here is very ideal.
Disadvantages:

Noise: Since the hotel is located in the city center, there may be some city noise at night. However, this did not seriously affect my rest.

We were greeted very warmly and were able to move into the room straight away. Unfortunately, although we had requested a quiet room, it was located directly on the street and was very noisy because we slept with the window open. When we asked, they offered us an alternative for an additional charge, but we declined. No credit card was requested at check-in, so unfortunately nothing could be booked for the room.

As soon as we arrived, we noticed the many cobwebs on the facade. These were also found on the signs above the room doors in the hallway. There is a nice fitness room. The bar is very nice, the staff very attentive and friendly. There is almost nothing missing at breakfast. Köpenick has a very beautiful old town and good restaurants. Despite the minor irregularities, we will choose this hotel again if we have to go to this part of Berlin.

Hygiene: clean and tidy.
Environment: 15 minutes walk from the subway, there is a restaurant and a supermarket next door. Except that the bus is almost a little short, everything else is 100%.
Service: Excellent. The breakfast is also rich, with grilled sausages.
Facilities: safes, small refrigerators, hotel pads, everything you need, don’t miss out if you like bathtubs.
