Location: Near to Karuizawa train station (approximately 15 min walk to hotel west) and 10min walk to shopping mall. 5 min shuttle bus to reach ski area.
Room: Clean and comfortable. But the bath powder is like toilet detergent scent.
Amenities: there is Family mart operates until 11pm in hotel west.
Service: Front desk lady can’t really speak English and hard to communicate. The man at cloakroom is unfriendly. 
Shuttle bus service: Shuttle bus service provided within the shopping area, hotel east and west. However, the instruction is unclear to us. When we queued up for the bus to station, the hotel staff did not inform us the bus was here and to align the bus but just change the next bus arrival timing. Until entire lane of the guests missed the bus. We had to walk all the way to station with our huge luggage.
Snow Park: No clear direction or sign board to go snow park from hotel east. The snow park area is kinda small and suitable for young kid (below 7 years old). It is boring for kid above 7 years old.

The Prince Hotel Karuizawa is a cluster of four hotels, and this one is the best among them, costing 4000+ per night for 3 people.

The breakfast environment is excellent; you could sit in the restaurant and stare out the window all day long.

The room overlooks a golf course, but the room itself is quite small.

The hotel offers a shuttle bus, and you can go to the Outlets for lunch and dinner, where all the restaurants are delicious.

I chosen Cottage A to stay in. While there is nothing much to complain about the cute cottage, personally it is a bit too small for me.
But nice environment, good and helpful staff and a very convenient shuttle system to bring you around.
You can also call an internal shuttle service that can ferry you from your cottage to the newer West hotel for their buffet breakfast. Otherwise you can eat at the East Hotel for either a Japanese meal set breakfast or a Western style set breakfast. The bread is really good and soft. The outlet shopping mall is accessed by their half hourly shuttle bus and you can do your premium shopping there and eat at their various restaurants or at their food court style food outlets.

The room was immaculately clean, and the welcoming staff was very friendly. We had a French set menu for dinner, which was delicious!
The breakfast buffet offered both Japanese and Western dishes, and the food was delicious and varied!
Another fun thing was the short tram ride to the hot spring baths. The water is natural, and it was a delightful experience to soak in the baths while gazing at the distant mountain views!
It's a perfect place to relax and unwind on vacation!

There are three rooms in the two-story villa, one of which has four beds and the other two beds. Each room has a bathtub. The open-air hot spring in the room is very small and can only accommodate one person, but the bathroom has a large jacuzzi and a TV. The vacation is really great. The ski resort is very close, and you can play at the age of three. Aolai has a few big names that are still expensive. The sukiyaki pot and teppanyaki in the hotel are great. If you bring children, it is more suitable than Hoshino, and Hoshino Hot Spring can not go. The hot spring in the hotel is already very good. There is a big supermarket, Delice, which is 15 minutes by taxi. You can buy things and cook in the room. The cooking in the room is very convenient. The waiter can wash the dishes. It is perfect.

It's a pity I forgot to take photos, but the hotel's location is undoubtedly excellent. I booked it because I saw that the hotel was renovated in 2025. I'm not sure about other rooms, but I was a bit disappointed with the connecting room I booked. The hotel's ambiance is great; I think the renovation mainly focused on the lobby and other public areas, which look very new. However, inside the room, it felt like only the wallpaper had been changed. You could still smell an old damp odor, and the lighting was quite dim. While connecting rooms are convenient for staying with parents, and the bathroom seemed newly renovated, the beds, carpets, and curtains really gave off an 80s guesthouse vibe. So, the room itself was a bit disappointing, but the exterior was fine. As for service, I found it somewhat mediocre. The hotel has quite a few Chinese staff. Honestly, I don't know how they treat foreign guests, but for Chinese guests, it was pretty average. Basic polite greetings felt perfunctory, and service speed was quite slow. The Sky Bar upstairs is nice. If you want a window seat with a panoramic view of Tokyo Tower, you need to book in advance or wait for about half an hour. It was quite late, so I didn't want to wait and sat in a booth further back. Do note that there's a seating charge for those booth seats. The view from the window is indeed fantastic, you can see the entire tower. Breakfast was also decent, and you could see Mount Fuji in the distance from the breakfast room.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel provides a shuttle bus from Echigo Yuzawa station therefore it is very convenient via Shinkansen from Tokyo. I do like the room design, it felt showa-era Japanese with a mix of western scifi at the same time, kinda like the film space odyssey. The receptionist was very kind and gave us discounts for ski lifts. Ski lockers were included so we could keep all our gear downstairs. There are many restaurants to choose from, best meal was the steak paella with the option to add extra meat at Edelweiss. Breakfast view from Kiyotsu restaurant was majestic, got to see the early birds ski while enjoying our meal. We were at the slopes pretty much from the morning until after the sun sets because there was night ski! After a whole day of skiing, resting at the outdoor onsen overlooking the snow garden was surreal, all the pains and aches just disappeared. To end the night, we watched the fireworks display from our room. We went to Naeba to ski but received far more than I expected. Thanks to all thestaff for the wonderful experience. We will be back soon and already planning a return.
