"I'd call this hotel the king of value for money in Suzhou. First off, the location is excellent; the surrounding area is very quiet, and the hotel itself has a lawn and a small garden, making for a very relaxing atmosphere. It's very close to Hanshan Temple and Tiger Hill; my family and I rode shared bikes and got to both attractions in about 10 minutes. Other popular attractions are generally about a 20-minute drive away. Secondly, the rooms are very clean. The mattress is thick and very comfortable – not too soft or too hard, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area and is also spacious, with plenty of hot water. Thirdly, the service is very thoughtful; even the hotel staff and the aunties in the breakfast restaurant are very polite, making guests feel very comfortable. Fourthly, there's the price. We visited on a Saturday during the summer vacation, and it happened to be during Wang Leehom's concert, which is peak season in Suzhou. Many hotels, even those in remote locations, were basically upwards of 500 RMB. Plus, with a child, we needed a family room with at least one king-sized bed and one single bed. Similar hotels with this setup typically cost around 800 RMB, but this one was only 400-something, and that included breakfast for three people! I even saw that a standard room at this hotel on the same day was only 200-something. Considering all these satisfactory points, it truly is the king of value for money among hotels in Suzhou!"

"The room perfectly matched the pictures; the hotel has a lovely Japanese style. We booked a futon room, which was very comfortable for two adults and two children, and perfect for young travelers. There are plenty of dining options in the nearby commercial street, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the scenic Shantang Street. Transportation in the area is also very convenient. The front desk staff were all very enthusiastic and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and well worth staying at."

"Traveling to Shantang Street with my good friends and our kids, I was getting a headache trying to find a hotel. Luckily, we ended up staying at this hotel right inside the scenic area. The garden-style landscaping is absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos. We could easily pop back to the hotel for a rest whenever we got tired. 😄 Our room had one king bed and one twin bed, and the best part is that they were movable, so we could push them together – fulfilling the kids' wish to sleep together! ❤️ The hotel's bathtub was huge; even though we only stayed one night, the kids took two baths and had a blast. The air conditioning was also incredibly powerful, which was an absolute lifesaver in this scorching summer heat!!! The hotel even provided afternoon tea, which, paired with the lotus flowers we bought in the scenic area, made for some fantastic photos – we took dozens, haha. It's especially great for a getaway with your girlfriends because the room has a two-sided mirror, so you can do your makeup together. 😄 The breakfast was delicious and served as a set meal with exquisite presentation. Kids' breakfasts are even complimentary! On top of that, you can feed the fish at the hotel, which the kids absolutely loved, hahaha. Next time we visit Suzhou, we will definitely stay at Zhu again. This summer trip was too hot and rushed; only staying one night was a bit of a shame. P.S. The staff were super nice. Before check-in, they thoughtfully informed us about various convenient transportation options and the hotel's Wi-Fi. All our small requests were met quickly and efficiently. The staff even helped us carry our luggage upstairs, and when we asked the front desk for bottled water, they generously gave us several bottles at once. Truly amazing!"

"The location is right on Shantang Street, and it's not far from the Ximins Farmers Market and the subway station next door, about a five-minute walk, so getting around is very convenient. Facilities: Standard guesthouse facilities, and overall they look quite new. It was pretty cold when I visited, but the room's air conditioning worked well, so I didn't feel like the temperature wasn't reaching the right level. Hygiene: I ran my hand over several surfaces and didn't feel any dust. There were no obvious stains in the room either, so it was relatively clean. Environment: The guesthouse clearly separates public areas from guest-only areas. General visitors can only access the lobby, and the accommodation sections require a key card to enter and are separated by frosted glass doors, so privacy is not an issue. There's also a lounge area on the first floor with a double-height ceiling and some greenery, and the sunlight coming in makes it very comfortable. You can relax here if you don't want to stay in your room. Service: All the staff members were very polite. They greeted me when I came in and out, helped with key cards, and had a great attitude. They were always available, and actively helped resolve any small issues. Although it's in a tourist area, there's a short path separating the accommodation from the main street, so I wasn't disturbed by the noise of tourists outside. The key card access to the accommodation area also prevents guests from feeling like they are part of a spectacle, which I appreciate. The soundproofing was relatively poor; I could hear my neighbor showering 😂. However, I'm a good sleeper, and the other guests weren't making much noise, so overall it didn't affect my rest. If you're looking for a place to stay in the Shantang Street area, I highly recommend it."

A dream come true for those driving, with free parking for added convenience. The front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming and made check-in a super smooth process. "You simply have to visit Suzhou! The location is excellent. The hotel is only about 500 meters from Tiger Hill Scenic Area, roughly a 10-minute walk. The exit of Tiger Hill is even closer to the hotel. Turn right and cross the bridge, and you'll find a tourist boat pier that takes you to the central part of Shantang Street. For parking, navigate to the 'Tiger Hill Flower Market Trunk Market Parking Lot,' and the butler will arrange an electric cart pick-up and drop-off. It's only about a five-minute walk. **Environment:** White walls, black tiles, winding paths leading to secluded spots – it's ancient and elegant. **Service:** Warm, polite, meticulous, thoughtful, and always ready to help. **Hygiene:** Staying on the ground floor, I was most worried about insects, but the hotel had none. The floor drain worked perfectly. **Amenities:** The bedding is comfortable, the towels are soft, and the toiletries are complete and of good quality. The sofa bed is fantastic! It would be even better if the heat pump system could be improved."

The front desk staff were gentle and polite, checked me in quickly, and even proactively informed me about the elevators, breakfast, and local transportation routes – the attention to detail was excellent. The room was spotless, with no stains on the floor or in the bathroom, and the bedding was soft and fluffy, making it easy to relax almost instantly. The room had good natural light and ventilation, and the soundproofing was effective, making it exceptionally quiet at night with no hallway noise audible. The toiletries were of good quality, the hot water was stable and plentiful, and the air conditioning adjusted sensitively. The self-service breakfast offered a rich variety, including meat, vegetables, pastries, fruits, and drinks, all with a mild and pleasant taste. The public areas were clean and elegant, and elevator wait times were short. The location is convenient for getting around, whether by taxi or for shopping. Overall, the value for money is excellent, the service is meticulous and thoughtful, and the environment is comfortable and pleasant. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area and highly recommend it to friends traveling here."

"The rooms are really unique, and staying in Shantang Street, the location is excellent. The hotel environment is also beautiful, with stunning scenery along the canal. The front desk service was great; any requests we had were handled promptly. We got two boat tickets each day, and taking the kids on the boat was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the night views of both the Ancient Grand Canal and Shantang Line, which was very pleasant. The owner was very kind; seeing that we had two children, they gave us a complimentary breakfast for one day, and the breakfast was also very rich. We could also enjoy Pingtan performances. Highly recommended!"

Opened in 1999 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, it symbolizes Sino-Singaporean friendship and international influence. The main building's stone facade is made of Jinshan stone from Mudu, a quarry that has since ceased operation. The garden landscaping is top-notch, with each of the 'Eight Views of Wu Palace' offering unique charm. A back exit provides direct access to the Panmen Scenic Area, allowing for day and night exploration. The hotel's restaurants are distinctive, with both the Chinese and Western establishments being superb. The Ruimian Noodle House, a Suzhou-style noodle restaurant, is particularly elegant and authentic!"

"Xiao Li at the front desk provided warm and attentive service. The hotel environment was nice, clean, and tidy. There was a supermarket and fruit shop downstairs, and free parking was available in front, which was very convenient. It was also close to Metro Line 8 and near Tiger Hill Wedding Dress City, Tiger Hill Pagoda, and Shantang Street."
