Very cool and authentic place , warm,poetic and nostalgic. We enjoy staying there three days. The thoughtfulness they showed us is excellent , They even offered a bucket and herbal pack to soak our tired feet. A place you want to come back.

My stay at the 'Yifangju Designer Courtyard' in Kunming's Nanping Pedestrian Street was a wonderful surprise! Tucked away right by the bustling street, you step out to all sorts of snacks and shops, but the moment you walk in, it's instantly quiet. The 'tranquility amidst the bustle' design is brilliant. The room blends industrial style with old Kunming elements – exposed red brick walls, vintage chandeliers, and designer furniture. Every corner has so much character; I couldn't stop taking photos. The mattress was just right, not too soft, not too firm, and the bedding was super comfortable. I slept soundly until I woke up naturally. The owner was incredibly warm and even hand-drew a local food map for us. Their recommendations for 'Douhua Rice Noodles' and 'Grilled Rushan Cheese' were absolutely amazing! The rooftop terrace offers a view of the old street at night; it was so pleasant to enjoy the breeze, drink tea, and chat in the evening. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves unique design and a taste of local life!

Just looking for one night's accommodation before heading to the airport when I stumbled onto this gem. Location. Very near to the cafe streets (forgot the name, but not the one near green lake park). I think it's a new place. Lots of people taking photos Hotel and room gives off a Japanese/orient style vibe. Bed was a bit hard for me. Shower was strong and good. For some reason, there's a little bit of bad smell (hope they can fix it). And as usual as in all hotels in China, the rooms are ”smoking ok” so there will be some leftover cigarette smoke smell no matter how they clean it. Will stay here again if I ever go to Kunming again!

I highly recommend this place! The hotel is located right in the city center, just a 5-minute walk to Kunming Old Street and Manping Street. Plus, the room was surprisingly quiet and very comfortable. We booked a family room for our trip, and it was perfect for traveling with kids and seniors – everyone had their own space without bothering each other. The hygiene was excellent, really clean. There are tons of food options right outside the hotel, which was super convenient. And the free parking was a real bonus – definitely a great value!

They thoughtfully prepared cutlery and a high chair for our child, making it perfect for family travel. Every time we saw a staff member, they would smile and greet us, actively offering assistance. Upon checkout, they even gave us black tea as a souvenir and two roly-poly toys. It was a superb stay! (I forgot to take photos of the hotel, but it's super close to Jinma Fang, which is very convenient for shopping and dining. Highly recommend it!)

We were passing by Kunming and only needed to stay one night. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and the room was lovely and had everything we needed. Location was the best part, the hotel was in the livelypedestrian area but was also close to the streets so we didn't have to carry our luggage far to get a Didi.

The room was very comfortable, and the location was super convenient for getting around by taxi. It was close to all the streets I wanted to explore, and there was a mall right across the street for easy shopping. The cleaning staff did an excellent job every day, keeping everything spotless. The beds in the family room were large enough for a comfortable sleep. Plus, ordering takeout from nearby restaurants was a breeze.
