Located near the South Plaza, it's very close to both the train station and the subway. The room had a mini-fridge and plenty of drinking water. Breakfast was good, especially the freshly made noodles – the beef noodle soup had a generous amount of beef!

The location is pretty good, within walking distance of Shanghai Railway Station. Given that Shanghai is so expensive, I can understand why the room was small and the price was high for a weekend. They have robots that deliver food orders to your room, and a laundry room, which is really convenient. The service was also good; you could just call and they'd bring things up to you, and they also offer luggage storage. It's a shame the TV couldn't cast, the window facing the street wasn't soundproofed very well, and the bathroom glass door was broken, causing water to leak everywhere... These points were a bit disappointing, but overall I was quite satisfied.

Great location, only a 10-minute walk from Shanghai Station, and super convenient for the subway. It's just three stops to Nanjing Road, and perfect for an evening visit to the Bund. The room was spacious, but the downside was the loud traffic noise from the elevated highway at night – a constant rumble. Also, the shower had two unmarked buttons, so when I turned it on, the overhead shower suddenly blasted water, which was a bit of a shock! As for the bedding, some stains might not have come out in the wash, but they clearly changed the linens. Other than that, the service was really good.

I booked a family room, but the window faced a busy main road and wouldn't close properly. It was incredibly noisy outside, with constant honking and people shouting to direct traffic. The next day, I switched rooms, but it was the same situation, so I didn't get much sleep. The bathroom was missing a few hooks, so there was nowhere to hang clothes, hand towels, or bath towels. While there was a towel rack, it wasn't nearly enough. The service was excellent; all our food deliveries were brought to our room by a robot, and all our requests were met. However, the breakfast selection was too limited and not great value for picky kids. For over 300 yuan, the value for money was too low. I probably won't be coming back.

The location is perfect - walking distance to the Shanghai Railway Station, from which major attractions are just 3-5 stops away. There's KFC, Family Mart and restos in the same block. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the common areas could use some sprucing up. The breakfast offered a variety of Chinese fare. The hotel offered wifi, and arranged our transfers to the airport. The staff were courteous and accommodating.

The surroundings are very convenient, close to Shanghai Railway Station. The hotel is relatively quiet at night, and the bedding is quite comfortable. There were a lot of foreigners staying there. The room decor is a bit old, but it still feels quite eco-friendly. The hallway carpet is too old.

This hotel is right next to the subway entrance, and it's super convenient to walk to Shanghai Railway Station, just about 50 meters away. There's a big plaza across the street for shopping, and a path nearby leads directly to Suzhou Creek. You can even walk to the Bund in about 20 minutes, which is fantastic. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, even giving us milk and bread and directions – they were so kind to us seniors. The housekeeping auntie was also very nice and even helped us with our luggage.

Choosing this hotel for my business trip was an excellent decision; its overall quality definitely meets five-star standards. The lobby is grand and elegant, and both the work and relaxation areas are superb. The rooms are quiet and well soundproofed, allowing for peaceful rest and work. The staff are highly professional, efficient, and pay great attention to detail. The dining quality is consistently good. Overall, my stay was fantastic, making this my top choice for business travel.
I must also commend the hotel's service and ambiance; you can feel the quality from the moment you step inside. The room had great natural light, and the cleanliness was impeccable with no unpleasant odors. The toiletries were of good quality, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff were kind and always quick to assist with any requests. My entire stay was comfortable and pleasant—a truly wonderful experience!

My family had a wonderful stay in this duplex room. Please note that this hotel is the same as Waiting Hotel. When taking Didi the location should be Waiting Hotel. Check in reception is also same as Waiting Hotel. The room is very spacious and have a lot of cool features. We loved the duplex style room, it's modern and comfortable. The only issue is the toilet door doesn't have a lock and also the glass is a little see through. Also the wifi is pretty much no use, so we used our own data.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Location wise it's great as just 5mins from Shanghai railway Station which is convenient if travelling on the high speed rail. There are many eateries nearby and I can recommend Xiao Yang dumplings. The front desk girls are polite and helpful. You can get meitun food delivery and Taobao delivered to the hotel. There is also free washing machines and dryers. I will recommend this hotel.

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed.
Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free.
The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all.
Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!
GGuest UserThis Bund hotel stay was absolutely amazing! It's just a 5-minute walk to the riverside, and my room had floor-to-ceiling windows with a perfect view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' – I could watch the Oriental Pearl Tower light up at night right from my bed. The smart toilet and automatic curtains were super convenient, and soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the river view was just heavenly! The freshly baked croissants at breakfast were so good they were practically addictive. The rooftop bar had incredible night views, and the cocktails created a fantastic ambiance. The front desk even proactively upgraded my room and sent welcome fruits, and the robot delivering food was adorable. The soundproofing was excellent; I slept like a baby until I woke up naturally. Plus, free laundry and drying service was such a thoughtful touch! The location is unbeatable – Yu Garden and Nanjing Road are within walking distance, and the subway station is right outside. For around 400+ RMB per person, it felt like a thousand-yuan experience. As a detail-oriented person, I was completely won over. I'm definitely booking this place again on my next trip to Shanghai!
MMenglitanle. The facilities are great, and the room is spacious. Every time I come to Shanghai, I stay at this hotel. The front desk service is excellent, and the cleaning staff do a thorough and meticulous job. I highly recommend this place; they even have free popcorn at the front desk and complimentary whiskey. My girlfriend and I always stay here. The movies are also great, and there's a free membership that allows screen casting. Rooms with windows offer a view of the plane trees.
IimnotminFrom the moment you step into the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, the elegant charm of Old Shanghai beautifully intertwines with the Bund's vibrant bustle. From your room, you can take in the Lujiazui skyline, with the Huangpu River's day and night flow just outside your window. The personalized concierge service from Aaron Echole was incredibly meticulous, and the entire staff, from concierge to the front desk, exuded the calm sophistication of a long-standing luxury hotel. Enjoying a 'Shanghai Club' cocktail at the Long Bar in the evening felt like stepping back in time to the social scene of a century ago. An absolutely impeccable stay.
GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a minimalist Japanese style, with a clean and atmospheric environment. The staff are very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport on the hour, which is super convenient for catching flights – a big plus!
However, staying for four consecutive days, the breakfast selection was incredibly monotonous and never changed. It got really boring after a while. The late-night snack options were also very limited, with only noodles and congee available – far too few choices.
Furthermore, during my stay, I noticed that the indoor air felt stuffy and poorly ventilated, always with a stale odor. My room was close to the road, so opening the window meant car noise, but closing it made the room stuffy and smelly, which significantly reduced my comfort.
On a positive note, they thoughtfully gave me a small souvenir when I checked out, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the service and airport shuttle were good, but the stay would be much better if they could improve the breakfast variety, add more late-night snack options, enhance room ventilation and soundproofing, and eliminate the stale indoor smell.
EElianaCThis review is long overdue! I was in Shanghai for a business trip in early March, and it happened to be raining heavily then. The underfloor heating gave me the warmest, most comfortable night's sleep, and the duvet cover felt incredibly soft. It was my first time staying in a Shikumen building, and the courtyard was so unique and stylish. Both the courtyard and the room's interior design were absolutely beautiful. The unit I stayed in was located on West Yan'an Road, very close to Xintiandi and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. It was perfect – I could just stroll back after dinner in Bei Li. Check-in was also a breeze. I saw that the host manages several other unique B&Bs, so I'd love to try them out sometime!
JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined.
First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience.
Now, for the less satisfying aspects:
1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one.
2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them.
3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.
GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely wonderful! The room was spotless, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable, we slept soundly. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facilities were comprehensive and had everything we needed. Plus, the location was incredibly convenient – we could easily get to wherever we wanted to go, and it was still quiet, not noisy at all. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and highly recommend staying here!
GGuest UserI stayed here temporarily for a visa appointment. Although the room is small, it's reflected in the price, and it was perfectly fine for one person. The location is downtown, close to everything. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied! ✅
