Choosing the right hotel for a Sanya vacation truly elevates the entire experience! This time, I opted to steer clear of the crowded popular bays and instead chose the relatively secluded and tranquil Yazhou Bay. Booking the Royal Ocean View Suite at the Crowne Plaza Sanya Yazhou Bay was an incredible surprise and completely redefined my perception of a seaside holiday. It perfectly fulfilled all my romantic notions of a beach getaway. Stepping into the room, I couldn't help but gasp – a massive floor-to-ceiling window offered an uninterrupted view of the boundless South China Sea. There were no buildings or greenery to obstruct the view; it was incredibly expansive. Standing by the window, the endless blue where the sea meets the sky just captivated my gaze. Wave after wave rolled onto the shore, white foam lapping against the golden sand, and even my breathing slowed down. The absolute highlight was the bathtub positioned right by the window. At sunset, watching the orange hues of dusk paint the entire sea a honeyed color, with the warm orange glow filling the entire room, even my hair felt wrapped in tenderness. Every photo I took was a masterpiece requiring no editing, and the atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking. The suite was generously sized, with clear divisions between the living room and bedroom. The sofa was wonderfully soft, perfect for lounging with family, watching the sea and chatting. The complimentary 'Sea-Listening' afternoon tea was incredibly romantic, featuring delicate mini-tarts and signature cocktails. Enjoying them on the balcony table, with the sea breeze carrying a hint of the ocean's sweet and salty air, a bite of dessert and a sip of cocktail, even time seemed to slow down. Waking up and opening the balcony door in the morning, the salty sea breeze, warmed by the rising sun, enveloped me. Distant fishing boats slowly sailed across the horizon. The entire beach was quiet, with only the sound of waves – no tourist crowds, just the pure relaxation of a vacation.

Stayed for two nights. First, I want to commend Kaylee, our butler. Her service was excellent, very proactive, and responsive. The concierge service was great. They were there to open the door and help with luggage as soon as we parked. We were offered welcome leis, but they weren't available when we got out of the car. The lobby didn't have air conditioning and was a bit warm, but it was well-ventilated. Check-in was quite fast, and they provided detailed information. The elevator had AC and was very cool, and our luggage was delivered to the room quickly. The hallway to the room was too long and outdoors, making it quite hot. However, it looked beautiful once the sun set. The family room had one king-size bed and one single bed. The mattresses were good, no backaches. The AC worked well and kept the room cool. The shower had great water pressure and consistent temperature. Bottled water was replenished promptly and generously. Room 833 offered a partial sea view and a partial view of the duty-free shop and a new hotel that's still under construction. It wasn't noisy, and the duty-free shop lights looked lovely at night. The only **bug** was the bathtub on the balcony, which made it impossible to take a bath. The room had no musty smell and didn't feel old. There was a huge table, convenient for dining. We received welcome fruits upon check-in, and the passionfruit was absolutely delicious. A complimentary minibar was provided, with drinks and snacks. The family pool was a bit basic, without a water playground, but it had free floats and basketballs. There were plenty of lifeguards who helped inflate the floats. There was a shuttle bus to the beach, and the driver was very friendly and chatty. The beach had lounge chairs, and the sand crab catching activity was excellent and engaging. There wasn't much hawking on the beach, which contributed to a great vacation vibe. Free sand-digging tools were available at the beach. The kids' club was next to the B1 breakfast restaurant, with activities suitable for younger children. Tree climbing was a lot of fun and came with small prizes. The bubble activities were a hit with all the kids. You could reach the duty-free shop by crossing the road through a small gate, which closed at 10 PM. We weren't bitten by mosquitoes at all during our stay, which indicates good pest control – a definite plus. Breakfast was a bit simple; the variety could be improved. We didn't have to wait for a table even when arriving after 10 AM, and the food was replenished promptly. The Xinglong coffee was good. Eating outdoors was slightly warm but offered views of fish and snorkeling. The hotel's Chinese restaurant was delicious, delicious, delicious! The hotpot at the Western restaurant was decent, and the ambiance was good. There were plenty of takeout options nearby, but you had to pick them up from the takeout cabinet yourself. The 'Qingbuliang' (Hainanese dessert soup) from room service was good. It's a shame we didn't go snorkeling. We'll have to come back next time.

The room was great, very satisfied! If you need a swimming tube, you'll need to bring your own, but the hotel will inflate it for you. The housekeeping service was excellent, very prompt with cleaning, and they brought complimentary Qingbuliang (a local dessert) every day. There's also an electric shuttle to take you around, and the beach is very quiet with hardly anyone there, so it's perfect if you like peace and quiet. The breakfast, however, was quite average.

Amazing hotel! We booked a club room on the 43rd floor, and the view was absolutely stunning. 😍 The hotel has Russian-speaking staff; we had Ariel, who was an excellent helper and advisor throughout our entire stay. We are so grateful to her! ❤️ Ariel provided us with a schedule of all the activities at the hotel, including their locations, and advised us on what to prioritize and what to save for another day. 👍 The stay included tickets to the waterpark and aquarium (the beluga whale and mermaid show) for the entire duration of our visit, plus two tickets to the evening C-show, which we unfortunately missed. There's also a buffet lunch and dinner, which was more than enough. In the morning after breakfast, the kids checked out the play area and were amazed – it's Octonauts-themed and really cool. The grounds are beautiful, with great pools and a lovely beach. Our vacation was amazing, we're very thankful and will definitely be back.

This is my second time at the Grand Hyatt! This time we booked a family room, and it was huge! While the decor might be a bit dated, it's definitely very well-maintained. The air conditioning works great, and everything was comfortable. The hotel gardens are lovely with lots of greenery. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our butler, Dora, provided excellent and attentive service, always quick to respond to our requests! The beach is a little walk from the hotel, past the pool. You can take a hotel buggy or enjoy a pleasant stroll. The evening sea breeze is also very refreshing. Overall, I highly recommend it!

The room was okay, but it's an old hotel, so there was a musty smell. The outdoor pool was a definite plus, really good! Check-in at the front desk was a bit slow; too much paperwork. Breakfast was great and plentiful, definitely a highlight! If you're staying at the hotel, lunch and dinner can be a bit pricey, and takeout is expensive too, but what can you do? When you're on vacation, you shouldn't worry too much about your wallet!

Sanya Family Trip | JW Marriott Dadonghai Review – So thoughtful it made me cry! 😭 We took a taxi from the Hilton to the Greentown Sanya Dadonghai JW Marriott. Check-in was smooth at 4 PM. We booked the 'Stargaze Babies' room, and for families with two kids, it's an absolute no-brainer! 🥳 The layout truly understands parents traveling with children! One king bed + one bunk bed. The room isn't huge, but it's fully equipped with everything you need. Kids' amenities and thoughtful details are all in place, making for a very comfortable stay. In the evening, we discovered a new activity – we went to the pool at the adjacent Autograph Collection hotel. The evening breeze combined with the sound of the waves created such a wonderful ambiance. It was super photogenic! 📸 We listened to the waves, watched the live performance, and observed the kids playing in the water – it truly felt like a perfect vacation. I have to specially praise the incredibly thoughtful and amazing service at JW Marriott!! Our flight was scheduled for the evening of the second day. We originally requested a late check-out until 3 PM. At noon, the hotel proactively contacted us. Because there were guests checking in later, they thoughtfully asked if we'd be open to switching to a standard room type. They then extended our check-out to 5 PM for free! 😭 This was truly so considerate! It didn't inconvenience the next guests, and it gave us ample time to rest, shower the kids, and get ready. Staying during the off-season really brought so many pleasant surprises! In the afternoon, the kids were full of energy again. They had a blast playing in the Marriott pool until 4 PM. Water volleyball was their favorite, and they absolutely didn't want to leave. By 5 PM, we were packed and ready, concluding our trip perfectly as we took a taxi to the airport ✈️. The entire experience was seamless, and Marriott's service really won us over. For families with two kids visiting Sanya, this Dadonghai location is definitely worth it! #SanyaFamilyTrip

It was so hot in Sanya that I just wanted to stay in the hotel room. The air conditioning was excellent, even a bit too cold on a higher setting. Choosing this hotel was a great decision; the price was reasonable, and the room was very satisfying. The bedding was clean and tidy. The pool was quite busy, mostly with foreign guests. I especially want to thank the lobby manager, Robert, for helping me find my lost glasses – he was diligent and truly dedicated to guest service. The housekeeping staff were also very thoughtful, promptly replenishing towels and bottled water in my room whenever needed. Check-out was quick and efficient, with no waiting for room inspection. I was very pleased with this stay!

First, the pros: The hotel is very close to the sea; you can walk out from the ground floor and be on the beach in a few dozen meters. Since it's at the very end, the beach is quite clean. The rooms are also clean, and the housekeeping staff are all very friendly. There's a pharmacy and a small convenience store right in the hotel lobby, which is quite convenient for buying medicine and other necessities. The concierge service was also excellent, actively helping with luggage upon arrival and departure. There's even a ** (food delivery) locker at the lobby entrance, which makes ordering takeout very convenient. Now, the cons: The front desk service was terrible. The room they initially assigned us could only be used for showering while standing in the bathtub. Since one of my companions had difficulty with their leg, I asked for a different room. The front desk staff immediately told me the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. I had no choice but to contact Ctrip, and they quickly arranged a room change for us. When checking out, I requested a late check-out because my child needed an afternoon nap. Again, the front desk told me the hotel was fully booked and we could only stay until 12:30 PM. However, before calling, I had already checked the booking page, and our room type was still available for sale that day, so it wasn't fully booked. Oh well, we checked out on time. Breakfast: The variety was extremely limited, and most of the options seemed more suitable for Russians. I stayed for three days, and as a woman with a small appetite, I never felt full. In the evening, there's also a self-service BBQ on the ground floor for 98 yuan per person. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to Bohou Village Night Market; it's just a short road, a few dozen meters long, entirely filled with BBQ stalls. If you plan to book this hotel, I suggest getting a full sea-view room directly. The full sea-view rooms seem to have been renovated, and the facilities look newer. Also, a word of advice: do not book through **. I saw others who booked through **, and when issues arose, the hotel and ** just passed the buck, leaving the customer to suffer. This trip was long with many uncertainties, and I deeply experienced Ctrip's problem-solving capabilities. They truly are the king of the tourism industry; kudos to Ctrip! 👍

My stay at Wanda Vista Sanya Haitang Bay was absolutely perfect! The hotel's tropical gardens are serene and elegant, offering direct oceanfront views in a peaceful and relaxing environment. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach, and very convenient for getting to the duty-free shop. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes made with fresh ingredients. Ella was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and attentive, quickly resolving all my needs. Overall, the value for money is exceptional, and the vacation experience was outstanding. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Sanya!
