Shangri-La Singapore

The front desk staff had an abysmal attitude; I didn't feel like I was being served at all. There was absolutely no useful information provided – nothing about the hotel's shuttle service, the fact that the kids' club costs extra, or details about adding breakfast. The service was utterly terrible. Having stayed at so many five-star hotels, I've noticed that only the Chinese front desk staff provide the worst service, while those who speak English are far superior. The Splash water play area was good, but the Buds indoor playground charges a fee. The bakery on the first floor offers inexpensive bread that's huge and affordable. However, the Louge restaurant's prices are outrageously expensive, probably double what you'd pay outside. A bak kut teh, which normally costs around 20 SGD elsewhere, is 40 SGD here – you'd be better off adding breakfast to your stay. The location is also quite remote. Given this level of service, I won't be returning. The hotel itself is beautiful, though.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere. It's truly rare to find this quality and price in Singapore. It's well-suited for business travelers, but if you're looking for good value and don't specifically need a family-friendly hotel, this one is excellent. The hotel is new, and the service is great. There's no complimentary bottled water in the room, which is common in Singapore, but there's a water dispenser in the hallway – when in Rome, do as the Romans do!

True to its five-star rating, this hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance of Merlion Park. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and great lighting, and the facilities were complete and well-maintained. The front desk staff could communicate in Chinese, and the bellhops carried our luggage all the way to our room. The shower pressure was fantastic and very refreshing. Plus, there were four complimentary bottles of water in the room. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Singapore!

We were there as a pre Disney cruise stay. It’s a unique hotel, felt like staying in rainforest. Enjoyed the nature and quiet atmosphere. Location is quite far out but there’s a food court within walking distance. Service at front desk is a bit slow probably due to lack of staff during peak hours. Maybe can do joint promotions with Disney with special rates & transportation arrangements.

The room was clean and tidy, with a minimalist design and excellent space planning. They also offer free laundry and drying services. The front desk service was great, and there's a small bar on the first floor perfect for a drink or two in the evening; it was quite lively and had a good atmosphere! There's also an outdoor terrace on the second floor for relaxing. Given the location, the overall value for money is absolutely fantastic!

The Bus Collective

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Bus Collective. We booked a double room under the random room category and mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. To our surprise, the team prepared a thoughtful setup with balloons, well wishes, and their adorable signature bear, which made us feel very special and set the tone for our stay. Staying in a converted bus was a unique and fun experience. The room was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed, and the space was thoughtfully designed to be both comfortable and functional. One of the highlights of our stay was the BBQ dinner set. It was a fantastic experience grilling our own meal, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. Everything was delicious and made for a memorable evening. The only minor inconvenience was that no lighter or matchsticks were provided, so we had to purchase our own before we could start the BBQ. The location was also very convenient, with Changi Village Hawker Centre right next door. Having easy access to a variety of local food options was a huge plus and made meals throughout our stay effortless. Overall, Bus Collective offers a unique accommodation experience combined with thoughtful service and great food. The anniversary surprise, comfortable amenities, and enjoyable BBQ experience made our stay truly special. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something different from the usual hotel stay in Singapore.

ONE15 Marina Hotel Sentosa Cove

Had a very enjoyable stay at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One thing I really appreciated was how cold and refreshing the air conditioning was, especially considering how hot the weather outside was. The location was also very convenient. The hotel provides a free shuttle service every 30 minutes to VivoCity, which made getting around very easy. There are also many restaurants within walking distance, along with supermarkets like Cold Storage and Little Farms nearby, so it was very convenient for food and daily necessities. Breakfast was enjoyable as well, with good variety and accommodating service. I especially appreciated being able to request a customized fried rice without soy sauce and gluten, which was a thoughtful touch for dietary preferences. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing stay with great convenience and excellent service. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The location is consider good if u wanted to visit Sentosa, Mount Faber, Vivocity. The room is clean the space is a bit tight but it's a budget hotel. The check in process is digital. So u can use email link to complete ur check in and then the access card is not a physical card. You will need to download an app and u can get ur digital card to unlocked the door. But if u didn't complete the online register at the email link you need to provide physical passport or ID for registration. Overall is a good stay but the sound proof is quite bad. Can hear someone taking at the corridor and the trolley wheels passing at the street.

For a country as expensive as Singapore 🇸🇬, a hostel priced in the 100s is definitely great value for money. Many local Chinese people stay here, and you can learn about Singapore's history by chatting with them. The closest MRT stations are Lavender and Jalan Besar, and it's also very near Little India, making it super convenient to get to all of Singapore's major attractions. There's a food court right downstairs, which is probably one of the cheapest dining options in Singapore, helping you save a lot on food. I stayed here for three days and thought it was pretty good!
